Dominic verified that something was awry, and at that moment, she understood that he must have been searching as well, but with a mind that was far more powerful than hers. "Let's go."
"Hold on, first I'd want to chat to you. Don't simply go right into something without any preparation." But it was almost as if Alaric was communicating with the wind when he attempted to use words to control the destructive force of the wind. Elizabeth let herself fall out of the window the next minute, landing perfectly next to Dominic in the snow. Dominic had already walked up to the window at that point. The group was followed from above by Alaric's voice.
"We will be there as well. Attend there for our arrival. Allow me to first speak with them. I'm able to handle everything myself..."
Elizabeth hardly picked up on what he said. Her head was buzzing with one idea, one aim, that she had to accomplish. to inflict suffering on those who intended to cause it to Katherine. She realized that things had reached an unacceptable level of severity. And from this point on, I'm going to push myself to the absolute limit. If anyone dared to touch him, she had visions of what she would do to them that rushed through her head so rapidly that she couldn't keep track of them. At a different point in time, she may have been surprised by the surge of adrenaline and excitement that coursed through her body as she thought of what had happened.
As they tore through the snow, she was able to see Dominic's thoughts racing with her; it was like a flash of crimson brilliance and ferocity. Elizabeth's fury expressed excitement at the prospect of having it so close at hand. But then she had another realization about the situation.
"I'm holding you back," she said to him. Even though she was racing through uninterrupted snow, she hardly seemed to be out of breath, and the two of them were making very good time. However, the speed of a bird's wings cannot be matched by anything that walks on two legs or even four. She encouraged him to continue. "You need to get there as quickly as you can. I'll meet you."
She did not remain to observe the blur and tremble of the air, as well as the whirling blackness that culminated in the rush of beating wings. But when she turned her head to look at the crow that was flying over her, she perceived Dominic's mental voice.
It wished them well in their quest, and then the winged black figure flew in the direction of the school.
After he left, Elizabeth thought to herself, "Good hunting," and she meant it. She redoubled her pace while keeping her attention focused on the glimpse she had of Katherine's presence the whole time.
Katherine positioned herself so that she was lying on his back and wished that his eyesight wasn't so blurry and that he had a stronger grasp on awareness than he had at the moment. The haze was composed of anguish and snow in equal parts.
However, there was also a trickle of blood coming from the cut that was three inches deep in his scalp. However, there was also a trickle of blood coming from the cut that was three inches deep in his scalp.
If only he could get himself together long enough to make a distress call, but the same weakness that had enabled these guys to effortlessly prevail over him also prohibited him from doing so. Since the night he'd assaulted Tyler, he hadn't consumed much food at all. That was somewhat ironic in its own way. His own sense of shame was to blame for the predicament he found himself in.
He came to the conclusion that he should have never attempted to alter his nature. It turns out that Dominic was correct all along.
Alaric, Caroline, and every other person are exactly the same. Everyone will turn against you in the end. I should have gone for every one of them and taken pleasure in it.
He wished and hoped that Dominic would look after Elizabeth. Dominic was a powerful and cruel person, therefore he would keep her safe while they were together. Dominic would instill in her a will to live. That made him happy to hear.
However, something deep inside him was sobbing.
The acute eyes of the crow quickly located the intersecting beams of headlight below, and it plunged down. But Dominic did not need the confirmation of sight; rather, he was zeroing in on the barely perceptible pulsing that constituted Katherine's life-force. Faint due to the fact that Katherine was fragile and because he had almost given up hope.
You never pick up anything useful, do you, brother? Dominic gave him some thinking. It would be best if I simply left you in your current location. But even as he grazed the surface of the earth, he was transforming, taking on a form that would do more harm than a crow.
The black wolf sprang into the group of men that were encircling Katherine, and it aimed its jump directly at the man who was carrying the cylinder of sharpened wood that was hanging over her breast. Because of the intensity of the strike, the guy was sent back ten feet, and the stake went skittering over the grass. Dominic was able to control his urge, which was made even stronger by the fact that it was in line with the instincts of the form he was wearing, to sink his fangs into the man's neck and lock them there. He turned on his heel and headed in the other direction in search of the other guys who were still standing.
His second rush dispersed them, but one of them made it to the edge of the light and then turned around while carrying something to his shoulder. Dominic had the concept of a rifle. And it's quite likely that it's filled with the same carefully treated ammunition as Alaric's weapon was before. There was no way to get to the person in time to prevent him from firing the shot. The wolf hissed and squatted down in preparation for its jump. The wrinkled lines on the man's plump face formed into a grin.
Out of the shadows and as swiftly as a striking snake might strike, a white hand rushed out and pushed the weapon away. The guy glanced about frantically, completely perplexed, as the wolf grinned and spread its jaws wide in a happy expression. It was now Elizabeth's turn to come.
Elizabeth watched as Mr. Smallwood's weapon rolled across the ground in the field. She delighted in seeing the look on his face as he frantically turned around in search of whatever had grabbed it. And she felt the flare of Dominic's approbation from across the pool of light, furious and intense like the pride of a wolf for its cub's first kill. This approval came from Dominic. However, as she caught a sight of Katherine unconscious on the ground, she immediately forgot about everything else. Her breath was taken away by the icy rage, and she began to move closer to him.
"Everybody stop! Just put a halt to everything where you are right now!"
A yell was carried toward them along with the sound of tires screeching as they approached. The automobile driven by Alaric Saltzman almost went into a spin as it drove into the staff parking lot and screamed to a halt; nevertheless, Alaric jumped out of the vehicle almost as soon as it came to a complete stop.
As he approached the group of guys, he yelled out, "What the hell is going on here?"
As soon as she heard the yell, Elizabeth had retreated into the darkness without thinking. At this point, she switched her attention to the men's expressions as they faced him. She was also able to identify Mr. Forbes and Mr. Bennett, Vickie Bennett's father, in addition to Mr. Smallwood. She reasoned that the other individuals must have been the fathers of the other males who had been in the Quonset hut with Tyler.
It was one of the unknown people who answered the inquiry, and they did it with a drawl that couldn't quite mask the fear that was underneath it. "Now that we've waited this long, we're starting to become a bit impatient. We came to the conclusion that we needed to pick up the pace."
The wolf let out a deep rumble that built into a chainsaw-like snarl as it roared. When the beast was initially brought to their attention, the guys all took a step back, and Alaric's eyes became white as he did so.
Another sound, this one more muffled and consistent, was emanating from a humanoid that was hunkered up near to one of the vehicles. The sound of Caroline Forbes's weeping continued incessantly "They claimed that all they wanted to do was have a conversation with him. They did not provide any information on their plans to carry them out to me."
Alaric made a motion in her direction while keeping one eye on the wolf. "And you were planning to show this to her, right? A young girl? Do you have any idea how damaging it may be to your mental health?"
When her neck is pulled out, what about the psychological trauma that will result from it? The return of Mr. Forbes was met with resounding applause from those present. "Exactly that is the cause of our concern."
Alaric responded by saying, "Then you need to be concerned about obtaining the appropriate guy." "After bringing his attention back to the young woman, he said, "Caroline, I want you to think. Unfortunately, we were unable to complete your sessions. I remember you believed you may have recognized Katherine when we last spoke. But, are you one hundred percent certain that it was him? Is it possible that it was someone else, maybe someone who looked like him?"
Caroline pulled herself upright, holding herself against the vehicle, and raised her face, which was covered with tears. She glanced first at Katherine, who had just now started sitting up, and then at Alaric. "I..."
"Consider this, Caroline. You can't go into this without complete assurance. Is there anybody else besides them who it may have been, such as-"
The voice of Merit could be heard saying, "Like that person who calls himself Dominic Smith." She was a mere shadow, standing next to Alaric's vehicle as he drove away. "Do you have any recollection of him, Caroline? He made an appearance during Alaric's very first party. He looks like Katherine in several aspects."

"Yes... I guess that it may have been possible. Everything transpired so quickly... but it may not have been that way."
"And you really can't tell me for certain which one it was?" Alaric said. "No... I'm not quite certain."
Alaric sighed and replied, "There." "I was honest with you when I said that she need further sessions and that we could not be confident of anything at this time. She is much more perplexed than before." He was making his way cautiously in the direction of Katherine. Elizabeth became aware that the wolf had retreated back into the cover of the darkness. She was able to see it, but the males presumably weren't able to.
They were more hostile as a result of its removal. "What exactly are you referring to? Who exactly is this Smith, then? I've never seen him."
