"Katherine," he called out to her. "But there's no way it could happen. It is not possible. You're dead..." Elizabeth started her sentence with "Katherine," but he didn't react.
Katherine covered her lips with her palm and laughed in secret while doing so.
She turned her head to gaze at Elizabeth on the other side and added, "You wake up, too." Elizabeth had an influx of Power. After a little pause, Dominic's head gently raised, and he blinked several times.
There was no sign of surprise on his face at all. He cocked his head back, his eyes becoming droopy as he did so, and stared at his captor for about one minute. After that, he gave a grin that was barely perceptible due to the anguish it caused.
He said, "Our adorable little white kitty," as he looked at her. "I really ought to have known."
"However, you weren't aware of it, were you?" As excited as a little kid would be to play a game, Katherine remarked. "Even you didn't guess. I was able to deceive everyone." Once again, she laughed. "It was a lot of fun to observe both of you without either of you being aware that I was there. Both of you were so focused on Katherine. Even once, I managed to scratch you!" She slashed the air as if she were a cat by hooking her fingers into claws.
"At the residence of Elizabeth. I do recall it, yes "Dominic said a little more slowly. He did not seem to be furious so much as he did hazily and whimsically delighted. "You can't deny that you're a hunter, can you? The lioness and the peacock, to put it another way."
Katherine boasted that she was the one who threw Katherine into the well. "I observed the two of you arguing; I found it entertaining to watch. I followed Katherine till we reached the edge of the forest, and after that" She made a motion with her hands that looked like someone was trying to capture a moth by clapping them together. She carefully opened them and pretended as if there was something hidden within as she smiled to herself. She said in confidence, "I was intending to keep him to play with." The bottom of her lip then protruded, and she stared at Elizabeth with a threatening expression. "However, you have him now. That's not kind of you, Elizabeth. That is something you ought not to have done."
Elizabeth caught a fleeting sight of the woman's smoldering wrath and realized that the terrible infantile slyness that had been on her face had vanished.
""You're going to be in trouble," Katherine stated as she approached her, "because you're a greedy girl."
hungry girl." greedy girl."
Katherine recoiled when she realized the distraction. Her expression changed from one of astonishment to one of pleasure.
She responded with, "Well, if you really want me to." She performed another pirouette as her golden hair twisted and turned on the floor as she clutched her elbows with her hands. "No," she said, whirling around and waving her finger in their direction. "You guess. You make a guess, and I'll tell you if it's correct or incorrect. Go on!
Elizabeth made a discreet peek in the direction of Katherine before swallowing. She didn't see why she should waste her time postponing Katherine when in the end, everything was going to turn out the same. However, she had a hunch that she ought to cling to life for as long as she possibly could.
She spoke slowly while stating, "You assaulted Vickie." However, despite the fact that her own voice sounded hoarse, she was suddenly optimistic. "The young woman who was inside the abandoned chapel at that time."
"Good! Yes, "Katherine shed some tears. She used her fingers that were clawed to give the other kitty a swat. She continued to argue her point by saying, "Well, after all, she was a member of my church." "And what it was that she and that guy were doing, it was fantastic! That is not appropriate behavior for the church. That being said, I scratched her!" Katherine wrote the word on the board in order to illustrate it, much as a storyteller would do with a small kid. And then I licked the blood off my fingers! She used her tongue to lick her lips, which were a delicate pink color. After that, she aimed her finger at Katherine. "Next guess!"
Katherine said that ever since then, "you've been harassing her like crazy." He was only making a sickening comment and not participating in the game at all.
"We can finally put an end to it! Proceed to anything else, please "remarked Katherine in a stern tone. But then, her fingers began to twitch as she fussed with the buttons that were located at the neckline of her dress. And Elizabeth recalled Vickie, who had the expression of a frightened doe as she undressed in the middle of the cafeteria in front of everyone. "I forced her to act in an absurd manner." Katherine chuckled at the joke. "Having a good time with her was easy."
The muscles in Elizabeth's arms felt tight and numb. She was so angered by Katherine's remarks that she was unable to remain motionless, and she realized that she was unconsciously pulling and straining against the ropes. She forced herself to stop, and instead tried to lie back and get some sensation back into her numb hands. She had no idea what she would do if she succeeded in breaking free, but she had to give it a go.
Katherine was trying to play it hazardous by stating, "Next guess."
"What gives you the right to claim it as your church?" Dominic made the inquiry. The tone of his speech remained detachedly amused, as if none of this had any impact on him at all. You asked about Honoria Fell, didn't you?
"Oh, the crotchety old ghoul!" In a wicked manner, Katherine said. She cocked her head to the side and peeked around behind Elizabeth with an angry expression on her face. Elizabeth had the sudden realization that they were standing with their backs to the entrance to the crypt, and the tomb that had been looted was just in front of them. Perhaps Honoria would be able to assist them...
However, at that moment, she recalled that soft, receding voice. This is the only assistance I will be able to provide for you. And she was well aware that there would be no additional assistance.
Katherine's words, which seemed as if they were taken directly from Elizabeth's mind, were: "Nothing can be accomplished by her. She is nothing but a brittle old skeleton." Katherine's hands were quite elegant, yet the moves they made seemed like they were trying to shatter those bones. "All she can do is speak, and there have been a number of instances when I've prevented you from listening to her."
