I was dumbstruck to know that he wasn’t with the woman and flushed at his offer at the same time. It was tempting but I was finding it hard to take Vipsania’s threat lightly. Something about her told me that she had meant what she had said yesterday.

“You have no relation with that woman?” My mouth asked on its own. The tips of his lips curled up as he answered, “No, I have nothing to do with her,”

“Okay,” I mumbled as I shifted in his hold uncomfortably. I didn’t know where this was going but wherever it was going, it wasn’t definitely good and as if to make it worse, my eyes flickered up to have a glance at his horns.

I gulped when I felt my core tingle when the realization hit me that we were alone. Could it get any worse?

“Now that we have gotten that out of the way…” He grumbled as his mouth descended down to my jaw before he traced it with his lips, “Do you want me now?” He asked huskily before pressing his lips against my ear.

My core clenched again when one of my knees slightly brushed against his hard bulge while he let out a short groan. I bit my lower lip and peered at him heatedly wishing that it would make him change his mind but he surprised me by moving away.

“What about tomorrow?” I asked but he shook his head. I frowned while I got up and pulled my skirt down. I didn’t miss how his eyes lingered heatedly on my thighs.

“I am late for work,” Was the only thing he grumbled before leaving. Meanwhile, I was left thinking about what went wrong.
