My words took him by surprise. I couldn’t have been more grateful for my stubborn side in such a situation. He watched me fix my dress heatedly before I walked out of the restroom.
I was surprised that no one really noticed our absence. The conversation around the table flowed smoothly as I took my seat quietly.
He didn’t follow me out right away. The seat beside me remained empty for several minutes before his brooding figure finally occupied it.
I kept a straight face and pretended to be indulged in a conversation with Priscilla. But I couldn’t ignore him. Even though I looked calm, my heart raced in my chest continuously.
I was aware of everything about him even though I was pretending to be oblivious. I could still feel it when his eyes would drift towards me before he’d look away.
It was hard for me to keep calm when he placed his big, heavy hand over my thigh before it trailed up to the place between my legs. I glared at him momentarily but the determination in his eyes was enough for me to waver.
His hand stayed there for the rest of the dinner. He’d give me a squeeze once in a while that’d made my southern lips wet. The sexual frustration was getting too much for me. I was constantly waiting for dinner to be over.
It wasn’t as if I hated his touch. No, it wasn’t that. I just hated how he had chased me to my climax but didn't make me cum at all.
He was dangerous, arrogant and sexy and I was finding it hard to resist even though I knew that he didn’t want anything serious… just like Derek.
I tried to ignore him for the rest of the dinner but he was hell-bent on getting my attention but he was unaware of the stubbornness passed down to me from Nana.
The other guy would momentarily look between us before giving me weird looks. I didn’t know what was up but I was sure that I needed to get the deal as soon as it was possible. These men didn’t seem very good to have them around.
I was the happiest when the dinner was over… or that’s what I thought. He dropped his hand as I got up. I instantly moved away from him when Mr. Toles called me aside to talk.
“Mr. Valter insists on completing the deal within this week. I’d be better if you show them the properties tomorrow,” Mr. Toles nods at the duo while he spoke. I took this moment to look at them.
They seemed to be in a serious conversation.
“Ok,” I mutter before leaving with Priscilla. I made sure that I didn’t run into either of the guys on my way to the parking lot. After securely getting into my car, I drove home.
The first thing that I did after getting home was stripping my wet panties. I had to take another shower to cool my body down. I was irked by what had happened at dinner.
It only made me groan when I remembered that I’d have to see him tomorrow too. I went to bed and instantly drifted to sleep due to the long day of work.
I woke up in the morning with a cranky mood. I wanted to sleep more but I needed to set out for office early today because I didn’t want to be late again.
Nana was sleeping when I went to the kitchen to have breakfast. Deciding not to wake her up, I started to prepare breakfast despite my inefficient skills in the cooking department.
While I loaded the toaster and heated the pan to fry some beacons, I thought about the weird dream that I had last night.
I had a dream about him. We were making out in a dark room. He had me on his lap while he devoured my breasts. Meanwhile, I examined his horns.
I shuddered juts by thinking about his horns. I still couldn’t decide if those were really there- above his hear or if it was me who was hallucinating about them.
“This is why I don’t let you anywhere near the kitchen!” I crashed back to reality when Nana’s panicked voice echoed in the house. The toasts were burned and the pan was overheated.
“Sorry… I wasn't paying attention,” I gasped, taking the hot toasts out of the toaster. I hissed when the heat of the burned toast devoured on my fingertips. I instantly dropped the toast on the floor before I ran for water.
“Now, get out of my kitchen before you burn down the whole place,” She commanded, turning off the stove and turning the chimney on so that the burned smell of the toast could be gotten rid of.
“Lemme have a look,” She muttered as she stepped beside me to look at my hands, “Why do you have to do this to yourself early in the morning?” She scowled before she disappeared into her room.
After a couple of moments, she was back with the medicine to cure burn. She sat me down on the dining table as she applied medicine to the burns.
“This should be enough to keep you away from the kitchen for a month,” She commented and I rolled my eyes, “You and your kitchen…” I muttered.
“I pity your man. He’ll either die of hunger or will be burned alive because you decided to make yourself a cup of coffee,” she joked while I grounded my teeth.
“Well, you don’t really want me to be with a man,” I muttered. She instantly stopped applying medicine to my burns before glaring at me.
My stomach growled with hunger as I got into the car and drove to the office. The burns on my fingers were as fresh as my Nana’s anger.
The drive to the office was painful due to the traffic. It splashed water on my plans to buy myself breakfast before I could reach the office. I already woke up with a stale mood in the morning. I was already pissed and the day hadn’t even started yet.
His horns were the first thing that I saw when I stepped into the office. His grey eyes watched me warily as I headed towards my cubicle to put my things away. I deliberately ignored him and as I checked the emails.
I didn’t need to turn around to feel him standing behind me. My heart instantly throbbed in my chest but I didn’t turn around.
“Anna,” My stomach growled when my name rolled out of his tongue, “You’re supposed to take me to the properties today,” He spoke grimly.
“Where’s the other guy?” I asked him instead, not looking away from the screen.
“It’s only me today,” I didn’t miss the smugness in his voice as he answered.
