Chapter XII: Amaris' and Amalia's clash
“Hey, Amalia. Stop harassing, Amaris!” Sanya pulled me away from the woman who doesn’t have any plan on letting go of my arm.
Amalia throw deathly glares at Sanya. "No! She’s just new here and she already flirted right away!" Her eyes dilated and slightly change it color. Her face is so red and the veins on her neck were about to pop out.
I don't even understand why she is so mad? She looks like she would kill anyone who will come right on her way. All I can remember is they were laughing before, but why I am dealing with them now? I don’t even know their group.
I am not flirting with anyone. Mamita didn’t teach me that lowlessness. And I kissed the guy because I was sorry. I will probably do that to anyone I have done wrong.
“I am sorry, Amalia. There are still things that need to be taught to Amaris.” Mathilda went to my side trying to defend me as well.
“What the hell?! Is she a toddler that needs teaching? And who the hell are you!? Don’t you interfere here!" Amalia’s voice could deafen everyone.
I didn’t like the tone of voice she used on Mathilda. She was just trying to help me. I couldn’t fathom where is she coming from.
"You are hurting her already, Amalia." Drake stepped between us and slightly pushed the woman.
“Hey, guys… chill! Let’s talk things out in a proper way. You all are hot-headed.” Stephan came in the view as well.
The Elites started to surround us. Everything suddenly became a mess.
“Really, Drake?! You are taking the side of that b*tch?” She shrieked as she pointed me with so much hatred.
“Calm your ass, Amalia! You are being irrational. Let her explain first!” Xerxes growled. He also put down Amalia’s hand, but she instantly slaps his hand away from her.
“Shut up! You and your twin are consenters! You let him kissed by this b-tch!”
She keeps on calling me that. What does it mean though?
“She is not a b-tch, Amalia! Can you f*cking calm down!?” I didn’t expect Tanya to burst out as well. No, I didn’t expect them to defend me like this. They don’t even know me.
“Shut up, Tanya! Mind your own business—"
“But she is my friend, b-tch! Of course, I will meddle in!”
That warms my heart. I am trying not to interfere with their lives because Mathilda and the twins don’t associate that well. But, here they are… treating me as their friend.
“Stop that, Amalia. You are already making a scene here…”
In an instant the man they called the King was now in front of me. My eyes meet his cold looks that make my chest throb. I could feel the anger coming from him.
Is h-he mad at me as well?
"I won't let anyone kiss you like that, Marcus!" Amalia growled. "This b*tch must know her place."
I cleared my throat. "Uhm, excuse me." Thank, God! I finally found my voice.
“I am deeply sorry for making you mad. But would you please explain the reason why?” I asked softly, desperate to understand the situation.
"You really have the guts to ask me that, b*tch?" For less than a second she appeared right in my face, harshly squeezing both of my cheeks.
I was too stunned to dodge it. Pain arise as her nails dug my skin.
"What the f-ck, Amalia?" Sanya pushed her away. The color of her eyes has changed as well. It turned into red and dark aura started to surrounds her.
“You are overreacting! You don’t have to hurt Amaris. Let her f*cking explain! That King was not even yours in the first place, yet you are acting like you own him! Enough, or I'm going to strangle your neck too!” Her breathing hitched and the harshness of her voice shows no mercy.
"That’s enough, Amalia!” The man I kissed earlier also quickly grabbed her away from me. “What do you think you are doing, Lia? Huh?” His voice is full of authority that it brought chills to everyone.
There is an unexplainable aura coming out of him. Sanya slightly took a step back, and the others were suddenly becoming submissive. They all looked down, and I could feel the tension coming from all of them.
"I'm sorry, Marcus…" There was fear and pain on the woman's face, and I felt sorry for her. "B-but you let her kiss you…" she whispered.
I think I really need to explain my side. I waited for them to calmed a bit, and that was the moment I started to speak up for myself.
"I don't even understand where your anger is coming from, but I want to explain…" I started. I heard nothing but their faint breathing.
“I kissed him to apologize. I know it is hard to understand, but… I-I have this habit of kissing someone whenever I am sorry.” I looked at her just to see her fuming face. The rest were just watching us.
“Are you dumb? Where have you met a creature that kisses someone when apologizing? You just want to get his attention and have a place here in the society!” She clenched her jaw, and if looks could kill, I am probably dead right now.
I am hurt with the way she is treating me. Her words are like sword that piercing my whole being.
I sighed. Just by looking at her, I know she wants to transform into her wolf form, but she can't. Not in front of me.
“I didn't know him when we met earlier. I don't even know why I suddenly got involved here. All I did is apologize with the man beside you.” I am trying my best for her to understand me.
“I am not dumb, I am not just like you who have freedom since the day she was born. Don't worry, I will learn those things to be able to fit in your world.”
I paused and looked straightly in her eyes.
“I may not know the meaning of the words you are calling me, but I know myself more than you. And I am pretty sure I am not a b*tch. I am sorry to disappoint you, Amalia.” I bowed my head a little and gave her a faint smile.
I am not mad at her, I just don't understand the way how she treated me.
“Hypocrite,” she said and a hard slap landed on my cheek. My head tilted to the other side because of the loud impact. I could feel the pain it had caused and I was almost deafened by its force.
“Oh my God!” The whole place was covered by loud gasping of air.
"That was for kissing Marcus whatever your reasons are!" She didn’t withdraw her sharp stares.
She was the first creature to slap me. The first ever one. Mamita had never ever laid a hand on me. Mr. Bear has to even clear my surrounding so nothing can hurt me even the littlest insect. And this creature… had the guts to hurt me.
My chest is pounding so hard at these times. Something wanted to come out from my back. I could feel their anger. They are fuming and if they succeed to go out, no one will survive. Every living creature inside this room will be left breathless.
I tightly closed my eyes as I took a deep breath. Trying to help myself calm down. I don't want to look at her, she won’t last a minute in this world.
"A-Amaris." Mathilda hold my hand. I heard her voice cracked. "A-are you okay?"
I looked at her and smiled a little.
Of course… I am not fine. The rope of my patience is getting thinner and thinner each time.
My attention was caught by another slap… but this time, it is not for me. I just saw Amalia's head almost turned sideward.
"And that was for slapping, Amaris!" Sanya angrily spat on her. "No one's hurting her in front of me!"
"Damn it, Amalia! Why do you have to hurt her?" Drake grips her arm. I saw the frown on her beautiful face as a sign of that she’s hurt.
“I’ve f-cking had enough, Amalia. I will send you home.” Marcus violently grabbed her arm before quickly disappearing in front of us.
Is it over? I sighed before tiredly sitting down. A lot has happened today, I just want to go home and hug my Mamita.
“I am sorry, Miss Amaris...” the guy named Vulcan said.
I nodded at him and smile. He looked so apologetic. There is no need to say sorry.
"It's your fault, brother." I heard Xerxes said to him.
They bid goodbye to me before leaving the room in a hurry. There are only seven of us left here, the other five Elites, Mathilda and me.
“I'm sorry. I caught you all in trouble," I said calmly.
I just want to have a peaceful stay here at the university, but I don't think I can have that.
“It’s okay, Amaris. We are the one who should apologize. Amalia is really a pain in the ass!” Tanya approached me and gently tap my shoulder, looking apologetic as well.
"Thank you for defending me." I expect nothing from them but they stood up for me.
“Let’s go to the clinic and put some cold compress on your cheeks, Amaris…” Sanya said worriedly to me.
I turned to her and smile.
"Thank you so much, Sanya." I hugged her to make her feel how grateful I am. She got stunned for a second. "I'll take care of it, thanks for the concern." I kissed her cheek before standing up.
“Thank you so much, really. I'm sorry for the trouble I’ve caused.” I hugged Tanya as well, even the two other Elites.
“N-no need to say sorry, Amaris,” they said and smiled shyly at me.
I hugged the other guy beside me. “Thank you, Drake…” I whispered to him before going back to Mathilda.
I held her cold hand before smiling. "Let’s go home?" She nodded in response before I turned my gaze back to the rest of Elites.
“I will just see you all tomorrow.” I gave them my last smile before disappearing in front of them along with Mathilda.
My body and my heart feels so weary. I want to go home, take a rest and hug my grandmother. Maybe when I get home I’ll understand why Amalia did that to me. It does really affects me, because I am not used to violence like this.
And I badly need to go home, I need to deal with some creatures. They were livid and wanted to hurt someone.
