Chapter XXV: It's Olivia

We didn’t waste any time and decided to get back in the classroom. The place looks so different now, there were no more trace of mud or anything that serves as an evidence of what happened a while ago. The room is in deep silence as well, and I immediately get it when I saw the Elites inside.

Mathilda and I quietly walked to our seat at the far end where Tanya and Sanya were sitting. I don’t bother to look at the other creatures who’s with us when the incident happened, and they can barely look at us as well.

I am not mad at them, but can they tell me the truth? Because if they were at my situation, I wouldn’t even make them feel like that.

"Good morning," I greeted and kissed the twins before settling down next to Mathilda who didn’t even bother to look at them.

"Finally, there’s good in my morning! Hi, pretty!" Sanya pinched my cheeks, while Tanya greeted back as well.

It would be even greater if Mathilda and the twins will greet each other, but I know that time will come.

Silence and tension prevailed inside. No one dared to talk after that, until Ashton stood up and went in front.

"What happened and everyone is so quiet?" Ashton was the one who broke the silence.

He was the only one who had the courage to speak. He looked around then gave a meaningful look at the other Elites.

"Don't look at me buddy, I don't know either." Stephan is grinning widely at him while shaking his head.

"It is so strange hearing nothing from them. Their silence is intriguing as if someone has done something wrong?" Drake added, I was even surprised when he turned slightly at our seat.

“You are just being paranoid! They are always like that, because they were afraid that Marcus would be mad at them!” Amalia replied. "Don't mind them."

“No, Amalia. Their silence is kind of suspicious!” Ashton shuddered as he watched our classmates with his hawk-eye. "Who is willing to tell what happened, hmm?" He smiled as he sat at the front table crossing his legs like a king.

“I also noticed the tension when we went inside. I think something really happened but seems like no one has an intention to speak.” Tanya stood up and walks in front as well.

She crossed her arms on her chest before glancing at us one by one. I noticed how the others averted their gaze. I glanced at Mathilda who’s now frowning, and seems like she isn’t in the mood

“I will count to three. If no one speaks… I will make them talk!” Drake said seriously. Well, he is always serious, but this time he seems extra pissed.

I quickly looked away when his eyes met mine.

“Don’t pressure them, guys. How can they speak when nothing really happened? You are making it a big deal!” Amalia stood up and slowly walked towards her members.

“You are just wasting time on useless things. Don’t jump into conclusions, better shut up and let’s get back to our seats!” She added with a hint of annoyance in her voice.

Things almost heat up when someone speak and it immediately caught our attention.

"Uh, I have something to say…"

We all look at Olivia who’s now standing and facing my direction. She looks so pale while I on the other hand are starting to get nervous as well. Don't tell me she's the one who did that?

“I’m sorry, Amaris. I hope you forgive me…" I could barely hear her voice.

My hands started to tremble as I felt my eyes sting.

“F*ck you, Olivia! You did that?!”

Things happened quickly in just a blink of an eye. I just saw the fuming Mathilda in front of Olivia. Ther latter was about to nod, when Mathilda’s palm touched her cheek. Loud and clear.

I was too late to even pull her away.

"What is wrong with you to do that f*cking stunt, huh? Amaris has been so good to you, b*tch!” A slap hit her cheek once again.

“W-wait… w-what’s happening here?” The twins immediately approach them together with the confused Elites, but seems like Mathilda won’t falter from her rage.

“That’s enough, Mathilda…” I hold her hand before she even hit Olivia again. I pulled her away and tried to calm her down.

The Elites started to surround us.

"You are a thick-face b*tch!” I could feel my friend's restraint to rush at Olivia again.

I don’t know what am I going to deal first. Mathilda who’s going to lose control, the Elites who kept on asking what happened, Olivia that still asking for forgiveness or my heart that is bleeding because of betrayal.

"What's going on, Amaris?" Sanya said warily. "What did she do to you?"

I was bombarded by a lot of questions.

“What did she do to you, Amaris? How are you? Are you alright?” Drake hold my left arm as he makes me face him. He looked at me from head to toe, looking if something is wrong with my body.

“Uh, nothing. I'm fine…” I smiled at him and looked at his hand that was still holding me.

And when he noticed where I am looking at, he immediately let go of me and stepped back.

"Uh, sorry…" The seriousness in his facial expression was changed by embarrassment.

“Let’s just talk later, Sanya. I want to talk to Olivia first…” I looked at Sanya who’s been waiting for my response.

I smiled and tapped her shoulder to dismiss the conversation about this. I want to settle the issue between us. I don't want others to feel sorry for me anymore.

"Is it true that something really happened? I'm just fooling around," Ashton murmurs and I just saw Stephan hit the back of his head.

"You are the one involved again?” I was no longer surprised when Amalia interrupted and faced me.

"You have so many issues in life, Amaris!" she said shaking her head in dismay.

“Oh, shut up, Amalia! Don't add you try meddle in!” Stephan said and pulled her away from us.

“Don't let Marcus caught you all in this act! Don't add to the King’s problem!” Amalia added before she violently removed Stephan’s grip on her hand.

Caden was not present and I don't know where he is. Well they said he's a busy creature, so that's expected from him.

“Excuse me. What’s the commotion all about?” We are too focused in our business here that we didn’t notice that Professor Hipolito was already here.

Drake slowly pulled me away from the crowd and led me to my seat.

“Just talk to her later after our classes. I won't let her escape from whatever she did to you,” he whispered at me before going back to his seat.

I wasn’t able to thank him either.

“We are just talking, Mr. Hipolito. By the way, good morning!” Tanya smiled at him as if nothing was wrong, before quickly returning to her seat. Sanya and Mathilda were already sitting next to me like nothing happened.

"I thought you had a problem again…" He smiled when our gazes met, and I gave him a warm smile as well.

After that, everyone turned back to their proper seat as well. No one was left standing except our professor.

I couldn’t help but glance at Olivia, who was now leaning on her chair. Until now I still can't believe she can do it. We had a good start, that's why I don't understand why she needed to do that. I thought we are friends?

I want to talk to her alone, I want her to explain her side. I am willing to listen and understand.
