CH42 Three weeks of learning

The next day Damon and I awoke at around nine, I did my daily morning routine, changed into an green ankle length dress, Damon wore his signature black tee and jeans, we were ready to leave
"Do you know where the dining hall is?" I asked Damon, to which, after thinking, he answered no, my shoulders slumped, but we still left the room, and to my surprise a maid was standing just outside the door
"Your majesties, my name is Chloe, and I am here to take you to the dining hall, king Pierre will meet you there" the maid announced to which Damon and I smiled happily, she turned and started walking down a corridor she did some twists and turns
"Do you ever get lost in this place, Chloe?" I asked out of curiosity
"No your majesty" is all she said, we soon came to the dining hall "please sit king Pierre will soon join you" with that said she left, not two minutes later we were joined by Dylan and Charlie
"Please sit, king Pierre will soon join you" a butler spoke to the Lycans, as he too left, Dylan and Charlie came and joined us at the table, we all sat where we had sat the night before
"So I've drawn up a plan, after breakfast we will speak to the staff in the throne room, then at eleven the doors will open to the public, we will take a lunch break at one, then at two back in the throne room, if you want...." Dylan started but I interrupted him
"Dylan relax, I will meet at eleven that's fine, but you don't need to plan everything, it's okay, I'll let you know when I want to eat and we can take it from there, please just try and relax" I told him to which Dylan nodded, we sat in silence waiting for the king
"Sorry, sorry I took so long" Pierre joined us
"It's okay, it's pretty easy to get lost in this place" I told him with a shrug, he looked from me to Damon and then Dylan and Charlie, then he laughed, thinking I was joking, I wasn't, breakfast was then served by the butlers, there were toasted baguettes bacon, hash browns, tea, coffee, and orange juice there were also omelettes everything smelled delicious, a butler came forward to fill our plates, but Damon had already started with mine, I thanked my mate as we all started eating, and talking, Dylan spoke of the plan with Pierre, who assured him that everything he was planning was fine with him.
After breakfast we were shown to the throne room, which was great because I had no idea where it was, Pierre insisted that I sit on the throne, and after a lot of arguing he won and I sat on the throne and I'm going to be honest I loved it, don't tell king Pierre though please.
Many people came from around Europe, and Dylan stayed close to me, taking notes, Damon stood next to me too, as he was introduced as king Damon, and I must say that made me happy
We had been at this for two hours when it happened.
"Your majesty, I am Rick, I'm from the unitaur coven" before he could go on I stood up, ran to him and embraced him
"Welcome Rick" I greeted when I let go "how is everything at unitaur?" I asked
"You came here, you decided to travel the world to help people, but you should've started in your own home" Rick told us, he was accusing me of something, right? Damon started coming forward ready to say something but I put a hand up to stop him
"Tell me what happened" I asked Rick
"Fine, I'll entertain you, let's pretend you don't know what going on" he's definitely accusing me of something "my girlfriend is in jail, she's been in jail for five years, the man who's responsible is already married to someone else, but Amanda? She's still in jail and for what?" Rick shouted
"For what?" I asked calmly, Rick scoffed "tell me" I told him
"Her dad wanted her to marry Nathan, but she wanted to marry me, so we ran away together, when Thomas found us, Amanda was arrested, and I was told to go home, she's still in jail, Nathan married someone else, when will I marry the girl I love?" I said nothing I blinked straight to Thomas's office a man was sat opposite Thomas as they spoke
"This meeting is over, leave" I told the man, the man looked at Thomas, who nodded, the man got up and left looking at me as he walked past, I shut the door, Thomas stood and walked around his desk towards me
"Your majesty, I thought you were travelling the world to help people"
"Yes that's what I'm doing, who is Amanda, Thomas" Thomas just shook his head "she's in prison"
"Ahh, a criminal, I don't really know them all by name"
"Hmm, where are the prisoner files kept?" I asked I may seem calm but I'm not
"In the dungeon" Thomas answered, I moved to the side away from the door
"Lead the way" I told him, Thomas walked out of the door and started walking, I followed, we went down a corridor then went down a lot of stairs, by the time we were done we were underground, the dungeon was now in sight we walked past some cells I saw Julie, she was sat in the cell, she was sat in the corner, she was crying, I ignored it as we walked on, we walked to a door, when Thomas opened the door I saw that it was an office, there was a desk and a wall full of metal shelves, each shelf had hundreds of files, he went to a shelf on the far end, he took some files down and flicked through them, he proceeded to put them on the desk one by one, as looked through them, he then handed me a file, when I opened it there was an A4 sized sheet of paper with a passport sized photo of a blond girl paper clipped to the top right corner, I read through the sheet and realised Rick had been right, I walked over to the desk and picked up another file
"Your majesty, if I may..." Thomas began
"No Thomas, you may not" I interrupted without looking away from the file in my hand, once I was happy with my research I left the office, went to each cell and opened them freeing the women inside
"Your majesty, what are you doing? These women are criminals"
"Criminals? The only criminal I see here is you, these women have done nothing wrong" I turned to the ladies "you are all free to go" I announced
"What about me?" A voice said when I turned to the voice I saw Julie
"You're not free to go" I told her
"Your office, now" I addressed Thomas before blinking to his office, I sat at his desk, in his chair, I leaned back and stared at him, the turmoil in his mind could be seen on his face, I wanted to laugh but stopped myself, after all he knew this is my world, my coven, my office, my chair.
"If a woman is told by her father to marry a man she doesn't even know and instead she runs away with the man she loves, who is in the wrong?" I asked Thomas
"Um, uh, it, ah" he couldn't answer
"Um, uh, it, ah, I asked you a question Thomas" I stood up, hit my hand hard on the desk, Thomas jumped and the desk broke, "you are fired, Thomas, you are no longer council leader, you are no longer on the council" I said in a menacing voice and as an after thought I looked him in the eye "you will not use your powers until I tell you otherwise" I compelled him
"But you can't do that, your.."
"I just did" I interrupted "pack up your things and get out" I looked at my non existing watch on my wrist "you have twenty-four hours" leaving no room for argument I blinked out of the office, and outside, I saw women from the dungeon sitting on the steps "which one of you is Amanda?" I asked, one girl stood up she had blond hair, I recognised her from the photo in the file, "Come with me" I gave her my hand "the rest of you go home, you're free" I was about to blink, but someone spoke
"We can't go home, we're no longer welcome, no one wants us" she cried, and the other women voiced their agreement
"Okay, wait here, I'll be back, give me a few minutes" I then addressed Amanda "ready?" She nodded, I blinked to the throne room in king Pierre's castle, as soon as Rick saw us he ran to us and embraced Amanda
"Thank-you, your majesty" he cried I waved him away, telling him it was fine
"Amanda meet me outside the council house" then I addressed Damon, Dylan and Charlie "we need to go home for a while" then I addressed king Pierre "we will be back soon, Pierre"
"Can't it wait? More people want to see you" Pierre told me
"I know, but I swore to help my people, and something bad was happening right under my nose, on my doorstep and I chose to ignore it"
"What happened?" The question came from Charlie, I was so angry
"You're a man why would you care?" I told him angry tears fell from my eyes
"Hey its ok" Damon came to me and touched my arm, but I moved away
"Don't, not this time" I cried as I blinked outside the mansion again, all the women were still there, I beckoned them to follow me, I walked into the mansion past the statue, and towards the meeting room, I could here the women walking behind me,
"Your majesty" a man addressed me
"Yes hello, I want all the council members in the meeting room, now, get them here" I told him and before he could say anything I carried on walking, I opened the door and let the women in I signalled them all to sit, and they did, I sat where Thomas usually sat, and we waited, Damon knocked on the door, asking for entry I had my head laid back and my eyes closed, I said nothing, but still the door opened and Damon, Dylan and Charlie walked in
"Anastasia? Talk to me" Damon sat near my feet talking to me, still I said nothing, what could I say? He knew what was going on yet he allowed it to happen, it happened to Annabell, to isobel, I saw it too but I had ignored it, when I had first taken Julie to the dungeon there were no men there, I noticed it but I ignored it "please baby" Damon whispered sadly still I said nothing and my eyes remained shut, Damon took my hand and kissed it, a tear fell from my eyes, Damon wiped it, the door opened once more and I saw the council members walk in Gareth, William, and Brandon,
"Sit" I told them I opened my eyes and stood up, Damon got up too, Dylan and Charlie were stood behind me and Damon remained standing next to me, I ignored all three of them "I've called this meeting to tell you that Thomas has been fired" all the men in the room gasped "he made mistakes, did the wrong thing and no one questioned it" I looked towards the side Damon was standing when I said that "I ignored it too, but not anymore, things will change around here, and the change starts now, so Brandon, William, Gareth, these ladies are the newest members of the council" Brandon stood up to argue, but I gave him a look so full of anger that he sat down again "I'm sure that the three of you will welcome them just as you welcomed me, get acquainted, meetings are held every Saturday at two pm" I turned to Dylan, "find these women somewhere to stay" then I turned to Damon I looked at his face "home" I told him, then blinked to the house which Damon and I shared, I blinked straight into the living room, and the house let me, guess the house finally sees me as a member not a guest, Damon blinked straight after me
"What happened?" He asked me, I saw the lycans were not with him "they're still at the council house, they said they will help the women get settled" Damon answered my un asked question to which I nodded "please talk to me" he whispered he came closer but I moved back, he stopped, I stopped, I sighed, not knowing where to start.
