CH3 Evangeline
I stepped out of the painting and saw that Damon wasn't back yet, so I paced the room, I vacuumed, I cleaned the kitchen, I dusted the bookshelf, then I huffed, I looked at my phone to see the time, it had only been an hour since Damon had left, I had done the house work really quickly I cussed under my breath, I have got to remember to use human speed.
After another thirty minutes Damon was back.
"What took you so long, my king?" I asked as a joke
"Mmm, did you miss me my queen?" Damon asked me as he held me by my waist, I smiled
"You know I miss you when you're not close" I told him as I kissed him passionately, when we finished kissing Damon handed me a piece of paper nine thousand BC was the year, Evangeline had given birth somewhere around December the ninth.
"Somewhere around the ninth? What does that mean?" I asked
"That's why I took so long, couldn't find the exact date" Damon explained, I decided this would have to do, even if we got there early it would be okay, if we got there late we could always try again.
Damon phoned Dylan and told the lycan we were ready to leave, we decided we would leave in the morning, I wanted to leave straight away but the men explained that it wouldn't really make a difference, I knew that was true but I wanted the warewolves back, I wanted my children back as soon as possible, Damon joked that I should allow him to enjoy just one more day without his arch enemy, I just rolled my eyes, but decided not to argue.
The next day came excruciatingly slowly, I tossed and turned all night, my dreams had, once again, been filled with people calling out for help, screaming to me for help, at five in the morning I had come downstairs because I couldn't sleep, I made myself a mug of hot chocolate. When Damon came downstairs at nine I was sat the table with a cold mug of hot chocolate, I had been thinking, it seemed, of what? I couldn't tell you
"Morning baby, have you had breakfast?" Damon asked me
"No, I'm not hungry" I answered, without thinking
"Ana, you have to eat" Damon began to argue, I stood up so fast the chair I was sitting on fell backwards, I walked over to him
"I said I'm not hungry" I clenched my teeth, I was angry, but I couldn't tell you why, before Damon could say anything else I blinked out of there, I blinked to the library, I nearly called out to Matt but then remembered he wasn't there, I sat behind the reception desk and thought about everything that was going on, we had an enemy, or the warewolves had an enemy, but was this person's only agenda to get rid of warewolves? Would they try to wipe out others? Were the vampires next? Or the lycans? What would life be like without my brothers? Without my mate?
My phone rang making me jump, caller ID told me it was Dylan, I answered with a hello
"Hey, where are you? We're waiting to leave" Dylan asked me
"I'm on my way" I answered before I hung up, I stood up, and blinked home, Dylan, Charlie and Damon were there, they looked at me like they pitied me, I said nothing, I couldn't, I picked up the potion from the bookshelf
"Just one vile? Will that be enough?" Charlie asked
"You only need one drop, it's more than enough" Damon answered for me, I just nodded in a way of thanks
"Dylan, Charlie, are you sure you want to do this?" I had to ask "once we do this, you two will be the only ones in the world that know nothing about warewolves" I explained
"Then we'll learn" Dylan said
"We'll read a book" Charlie shrugged
"A book you wrote" I told Charlie to which the lycans just smirked
"This is my chance to meet the original witch, the first queen, the one that created us, I can write how she lived, where she lived, who she lived with, this is my chance to write about her" Charlie looked excited and for a moment so was I
"Wait, where she lived? Damon when you took the potion to stop Kristen tell us what happened" I turned to Damon
"I took the potion lying next to an unconscious you, I said the date, and your name" Damon shrugged
"And where did you wake up?" I asked
"In the bed, but you weren't there, you were downstairs" Damon smiled
"Dammit" I nearly screamed
"What? What's wrong?" Dylan asked me
"The potion won't move us from where we are, we will be in the exact same place" I looked at Dylan and explained
"This house didn't exist back then" Damon said
"This world didn't exist back then" I corrected
"I'll go find out where Evangeline lived" Charlie said as he walked towards the front door
"I'll help" Damon decided it was probably for the best.
Once Damon and Charlie left I sat on the sofa and sighed, I felt the weight dip as Dylan sat next to me
"You ok?" He asked, concern etched his voice
"Yeah, I'm good" I lied
"I know you're lying, but I'll let that pass" he laughed a little "so, do you really wanna do this?"
"What do you mean?"
"I mean this, bring warewolves into existence, I mean you said it yourself warewolves kill vampires"
"I didn't say that, I said a warewolf bite can kill a vampire, the queen's put a stop to that, every warewolf takes an oath as soon as they come into their powers, that they will not kill a vampire and vampires take the oath when they are turned, Damon did, he took the oath twice, once when he was turned and the second when he joined this coven" I explained, Dylan just nodded, probably trying to comprehend everything "you know a certain author wrote all this in a very good book, goes by the name of Charlie Billington, you've probably heard of him? Brown hair, six foot five, muscular, he married his editor, lovely couple" I smiled
"Six foot seven actually, and I'd love to read the book" Dylan laughed too.
Fifteen minutes later Charlie and Damon were back
"Evangeline lived in a village called dreigiau lair, weird name, translates as dragons lair, but its not too far from your mortal house" Damon pointed to me I raised an eyebrow "she lived in a small village in Cardiff"
"Ahh, home of Canary Warf, but just so you know, for future reference, I'm from England, Cardiff? That's Wales, its a different country" I explained.
We packed up and decided to blink to my house in the mortal world then take a bus to where we needed to be, of course that was the plan made by the men in the room, this queen had other ideas, revenge really is a dish best served cold, six years cold to be exact, I smiled and rubbed my hands inwardly.
"Hey Damon could you take the painting down, take it out of the frame? I think we should take it with us" I asked my mate, Damon obliged knowing if I touch the painting I go straight inside, he took it down, took it out of the frame and folded it, the painting was painted on some kind of fabric, I guessed it was some sort of animal skin
