Why would both of them ask me to be their dates at the ball?
Why do I have a feeling thatian is up to no good, but Waylon seemed to good and nice to pull a
prank on anyone.
What to do? Whom should I go with.
'So, what are you going to do?" Sandra asked as she sat beside me on the sofa.
'Yeah, what answer are you going to give them?" Zoe added.
'Well… I'm going to go with Waylon, besides he was the one to ask me to the dance. It's fair that I agree to go with him.ian has never been nothing but mean to me. I had everyone throwing insults at me because of him and Aurora nearly defeated me. It's only fair that I agree to go with the one who asked me first 'I replied and they both nodded.
'Yeah, you are making a point." They both said with a chorus.
'Enough about me, what of you two? Who are you going to the dance with?" I asked, and they looked
at each other before turning to me. 'Mason!" they both said excited. 'Huh?"
'Yeah, we decided to go with Mason, we turned down all our requests from the other guys. He told us about how the other girls are all over him, so we decided to go to the ball with him instead." Sandra explained, and I looked at her with a smile.
'I have no idea what girls see in him? Ah it's irritating." I whined and they both glared at me making me run from their side.
'I'm sorry I talked against your handsome date." I apologized, and they smiled right away.
'Huh…the ball is tomorrow, and I barely know what I'm going to wear." I said, bouncing on my bed.
'Leave all that to us." Zoe and Sandra said to me as they posed like taking a picture for the cover of
a magazine.
'Aww what would I do without you two." I said and pulled them into a very tight hug which they complained of not being able to breathe.
'I'm so sorry, I was over excited." I said excitedly with a grin after disengaging the hug.
'Why don't you call Waylon and tell him you're going to be his date for the ball 'Sandra suggested, and I took my phone from the center table and excused myself while they teased me.
'Hello…please is this Waylon?" 'Yeah it's me Gianna."
The way he says my name makes me wanna melt.
'Umm… I called to tell you that… I'll be your date for the ball." I said stammering a little.
'Really!!" He said cheerfully.
'Yes please." I replied, and he went
'yes…yes…yes!!"
'You have no idea how happy I am…you just made my night Gianna." He said to me all excited.
'I'll come and pick you up tomorrow, so we go to the ball together." He added.
'Okay, I'll look forward to seeing you then." I replied.
'Bye for now." He said, and I was about to hang up when I heard a voice in the background.
'Did she fall for it?" I heard the voice say.
'Yeah, she totally fell for it…and even said yes as well. 'I overheard Waylon reply as they both laughed.
'It was easier than I expected." The other one said in the background.
What the… was all this a prank or something?
I immediately hanged up, so I wouldn't hear anything further.
How…why was I so blind to think he's different from his brother…after all the have the same blood flowing through their veins.
How could I be such a fool? He tricked me... why? What did I do wrong to deserve this?
I wiped the tears that escaped my eyes and took in a deep breath before returning to the others.
'Here comes our Princess." Zoe said immediately she saw me return to them.
I can't tell them what I overheard or else Zoe might storm into their lounge. I have to fight this alone. I'm not going to just sit back and say nothing, I'll make sure to make him know I'm not some toy they came play around with.
'You are going to get the spit light with this dress. I can't wait to get you prepared for tomorrow." Zoe said to me as she separated the gown I'll be wearing to the ball.
That night, I couldn't get those words out of my mind, I felt uneasy and unable to sleep.
I stayed awake all night and played some games on my phone, but their conversation wouldn't leave my mind.
I then took the gift cardian sent me, I flipped it and saw his number, I dialed it and sent him a message.
'I'll be your date to the ball. Will be looking forward to it."
I sent it and tossed my phone on my bed as I laid down with my face to the ceiling, staring at the flowering design of the ceiling, so many thoughts rushed to my mind and slowly I finally fell asleep.
'Wake up already, it's noon! 'A voice woke me up and it was Zoe as she opened the window.
'Let me sleep a little longer please." I pleaded but she pulled me of my bed holding my left leg.
'Get up lazy bones, I made lunch…let's eat together." She said as she pulled me along with her to the kitchen and sat me down behind the table in the kitchen.
'Here have some food... (comes to myside and pulled me off the chair.) Go brush your teeth first." She ordered, and I walked to the bathroom lazily and brushed my teeth leisurely.
'Hey!! Hurry and come eat!" I heard Zoe's piercing voice from the kitchen. I hurried back and sat behind the food she had prepared, and it was delicious.
'How come you are such a good cook. I thought you have maids doing all the chores and cooking."
'Well we do have maids but then, which kind of wife would I be if I can't even cook for my husband. I learnt how to cook very well so you wouldn't have to worry about Mason when he and I get married." She said adorably and barbed her eyes with cuteness.
'Hey! What kind of things have you being imagining doing with my brother…huh never mind."
I returned to my food and consumed it all before going to shower up.
'Where's Sandra?" I asked as I walked out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around my hair.
'Oh, she said she had some errands to run so she'll return this evening before the ball. 'Zoe replied and I nodded as I unwrapped the towel and plucked in the hair drier to dry my wet hair.
'It's past three already, the ball will be starting soon!!" A voice said loudly and we all turned to find Sandra standing in the doorway with two bags in her hand.
'Where have you been?" I asked, and she cat walked towards us.
'I went shopping with Daddy…this is yours (hand over one bag to Zoe) and this is yours (hands over the other bag to me.) You two should get ready already it's getting late!!" she looked so excited. Zoe and I thanked her for the gift and she went 'Oh it's nothing."
They sat me behind the mirror and began my make-up as I just sat down, thoughts of yesterday's incident came crawling into my mind but then I shook my head and focused on what they were doing.
They had me facing in the opposite direction of the mirror, so they turned me around after they were done.
'Oh my God, you look gorgeous girl!!!" Zoe said excitedly.
'Thanks, you two…thanks for making me this beautiful."
'Of course not, you're gorgeous already, we just added some little touch." Sandra said pecking my cheeks.
They both got ready too and we wore our gown together and you could've seen us. We looked stunning in it.
Zoe wore a cream sparkling gown with peacock feathers design on the tip of the sleeves, Sandra wore a light green gown with sparkling gens on the contour of her gown and a silver lining at the tip of the gown and I wore a red gown with black flowering designs in it. Sandra wore her silver heels with glittering Sparks at the edge, Zoe wore her cream heels with diamonds (real diamonds) on it while I wore a black heel with a red rose flower design on the sides.
'Are you not coming with us?" Zoe asked as I
paused as we were walking out if the dorm.
'No…you two should go ahead. I'll join you soon. Besides Waylon will be dropping me at the ball. I'll come together with him."
'Lucky you, see how she's blushing." 'We'll take our leave now."
They both said as they walked towards Zoe's limousine which was waiting for them. I watched as the chauffeur opened the door for them to get into the car. I waved at them and watch the car drove off.
I hurried back into the room only to find ten missed calls all by Waylon and five missed calls fromian as well.
I took my phone and sent them both a message.
'I'm very sorry, but I can't make it to the ball. Have a wonderful evening."
My phone began to ring immediately after the message was sent and it was Waylon.
I ignored his call and heaved a sigh as I fell on my bed.
No… I can't just stay here, they'll think they won, but I just stood them up.
My phone rang again, and it was Zoe.
'Hey, where are you? The ball is about to begin." She said to me after I picked the call.
'I'll be there right away don't worry." I said to her and hanged up.
Gianna you have to go to the ball, Sandra and Zoe are going to get really worried if you don't make it.
I stood up and wore my heels, stormed out of the room, locked the door and rushed out of the dorm and walked to the entrance of the ball room.
All eyes were on me as I stepped foot at the entrance and walked majestically into the ball room. I heard them gasp with surprise and murmured among themselves, I looked forward and my eyes met his, it wasian, his eyes grew side with shock as he saw me. I turned to his right and sawaxel Jun (Zoe's Elder brother) who smiled when our eyes met. I looked around but no sign of Waylon… did he not come to the ball?
Where is he?

I couldn't believe it when she told me she wasn't going to make it. Was it becauseian asked her to be his date? She wasn't picking up my calls or replying my messages either.
I was dead worried and wondered what might be wrong with her, so I hurried to her dorm and asked one of the first years to call for her but then she told me Gianna had left for the ball.
I sat in my car and was about to start the engine when my phone began to ring, it wasaxel Jun.
'Hey…where are you?"
'I'm on my way to the Ball room."
'Hurry because she just made a grand entrance and she looks too stunning for someone who said she wouldn't be able to make it to the ball."
'Really?"
'Yeah, hurry…come and take a look for yourself. She even ignoredian when their eyes met, and he was stunned to see her."
'I'm almost there…Bye for now." I said as I haven't up the call and started the car's engine and drove off.
I slammed the car door as I walked through the entrance of the ball room, everyone just turned to direction upon my arrival and I smiled at them.
'You're finally here brother. Now let the ball begin!"ian order and everyone was happy as the ball officially began.
I looked around, searching for her but it was hard to find get because the room was filled with people, besides the ball room is huge.
'Are you looking for me?" I only turned to find a very stunning young lady in a red gown standing before me.
'Gianna?" I asked, and she smiled. 'I thought you said…"
'Yeah, I told you I wouldn't be able to make it to the ball but then I did."
'I'm relieved… I thought something happened to you." I said with a smile, but she didn't smile.
'Did you think I would fall for it that easily? Do you think you could fool me with your sweetness and lure me into your game?"
'What are you talking about?" I asked her totally confused.
'Did you and your brother think I was a toy that you could play around with? For the first time I thought I would believe you and I even thought you were different from him but then I was wrong. You both have the same cold blood running through your veins. You just cover yours up with this fake smile of yours."
That's when I recalled I didn't end the call yesterday evening… I think she overheardaxel Jun and I. But she got it all wrong.
'Gianna… you got it all wrong…it's just a misunderstanding."
'Don't Gianna me… it's over, I will never fall for your games. I respect you a lot that's why I didn't cause a scene so I'm asking politely… please stay away from me." She said to me as she stormed out through the side door leading to the washroom. I tried to go after her but someone held me back. It wasaxel Jun.
'What happened…what's wrong with her?" Zoe asked me immediately Gianna stormed out and Zoe went after her.
I just shrugged and shook my head as I felt my knees becoming weak.
She got it all wrong, it's not what you think Gianna… please just allow me to explain.
'She got it all wrongaxel Jun-ah, she thinksian and I planned to toy around with her. She didn't even give me a chance to explain myself."
'Don't be too hard on yourself, she's having a hard time now. I think you should stay calm for now and when she's calm too...then you explain everything to her. Okay?"axel Jun advised and I nodded.
I sawian stare at me in the distance and I looked away as I went out of the ball room and
went to my car.
Gianna…please let me explain, please.

I felt terrible about what happened… she wouldn't even allow me to explain myself, she just stormed out of the ball room.
I sat in my car as I looked through the driving mirror, I saw her run towards her dorm with Zoe and Sandra following behind.
It's messed up, everything is messed up.
I couldn't sleep that night, I felt restless and helpless as I tossed from one side of the bed to the other, how she talked to me with resentment in her eyes.
I was such a fool to keep the call on whenaxel Jun came in, she was on the line and she thought everything was planned.
We were actually talking about Hannah, we planned on setting her up on a date with me but then Gianna heard the conversation and thought it was her.
Well … I actually asked Hannah to be my date at the ball before after asking Gianna, not that I wanted her to be my date, but it was one ofaxel Jun's prank just to get back at her for bullying the first year's. We all know the effect I have on her and she was glad and accepted immediately. I actually called to inform her that I'm sorry and that I got another person for my date.
I just don't understand whyian had to send her a gift card asking her to be his date for the ball.
I walked into the kitchen as I heard the sound of flowing water and behold, there stoodian with a glass so water.
'Oh, you're awake?" He asked.
'Yeah..." I replied as I sat on one of the chairs.
'What's keeping you awake?" He asked, and I chuckled.
'Are you telling me you have no idea?" 'Wait...is it because of the newbie?"
'Yeah, I've wondering about why you asked her to the ball after the incident that happened between you two. Why did you do that?"
'I just wanted the other students to stop humiliating her. I thought of if she had been my date…then the other students would believe I am not in any bad terms with her." He replied and gulped down the rest of the water in his glass.
'We both know you don't like her because of her sassiness and that she stood up against you." That wasaxel Jun, he walked towards us in his white shirt with his banana pajama shorts.
'Yeah I'll admit I don't like her even a little. She's got this ego and pride I detest."ian said, and I looked at him, supporting my chin with both hands as my elbows where on the table.
' So, you were just giving me excuses right, you made sure to ask her too after realizing I told you I wanted to go to the ball with her and then coincidentally you brought up the topic about Hannah when you knew I was on the phone with her, thenaxel replied you with the question he asked. I'm I right?"
'Exactly…by the way how did you figure it out this quick?"ian asked me, and I shook my head
sideways.
'You really are mean, aren't you?" I asked, and he smiled.
'Of course, I am when it comes to Sassy Ladies. They don't stand a chance." He replied, and I just couldn't believe him.
'I'm your brother for crying out loud, why didn't you use another way to get her. I mean because of what you did, I couldn't even enjoy the ball." I explained.
'Man, I'm truly sorry and I'm being sincere. I'll admit I made my hate for her made me do that, but I didn't mean to hurt you in anyway. I should've thought twice before taking that step. I hope you will forgive me." He said with all sincerity.
'Look how he is all sincere when it comes to apologies."axel said with a chuckle.
'Sure…I'll let this pass because my elder brother doesn't like thinking at all." I said and he punched me on the shoulder.
' By the way do you like that girl?" both of them asked with a chorus.
' Oh no no… it's not like that. I just don't want to lose the friendship between us."
'You two are already friends?"ian asked with surprise and I nodded.
' You are one hell of a Playboy and saying you two are just friends… something smells fishy."axel said to me and I hit the back of his head.
' I told you I'm changed person now." I said to him.
' A changed person, and you still go out partying and got twelve ladies contact last night?"ian said shaking his head sideways.
' I just wish I could make you play that newbie for me." He added.
' Eh eh…don't involve me in your fight with Gianna…she's my friend and if you cross the line, you won't have it that easily." I warned and we both burst out laughing.
' You two are just crazy… I'm going to watch the early morning drama."axel said as he headed for the living room towards the TV remote.
Nico joined him, and I went back to my room. I picked up my phone from where I left it and went to my messages, I realized she had read them all but then she hadn't replied any. She hasn't called back either. She is so stubborn and hard headed, I like that…to be honest.
I tossed and tossed in bed as I didn't know what to do now. I heard my phone ring and I didn't hesitate to pick it up thinking it was her but then it wasian.
' Hey! I'm really not in the mood."
'You thought it was her right... I wish I was there to see your reaction, I bet you jumped out of your bed to answer." He teased me on the other end of the phone.
That does it, I got out of my bed and went after him in the living room but then none of them were there.
Where have they gone to? I went out to check the pool, but it was too early for any of them to be there, went to the balcony and they weren't there either, went to check the gym and they weren't there either.
Ah...these two are so mischievous, what could they be up to?
I walked back towards my room and when I opened the door.
'BOOOM!!" I nearly had a heart attack. It was them.
'You two…" I said trying to breath well and they burst out laughing. I wanted to hit them both with
my pillow but then I walked away and went to lay down on my bed, ignoring them both.
' Waylon…Waylon…"axel called and I turned to face the other way.
'Waylon…"ian also called, and I covered my ears with the pillow.
' We've decidedly to personally talk to her and tell her you really wasn't talking about her."axel said to me and I immediately uncovered my ears and sat on my bed.
' She won't even want to see your face(toian) and she'll think you are just doing it because you're a brother to me." I said to both of them.
' Exactly…I talked to Zoe to convince her to meet up with me at noon. She wouldn't be able to say no to Zoe for the sake of their friendship and you know how convincing Zoe can be."axel replied. ' I feel really bad seeing you all messed up because of my stupid ways."ian added.
' Yeah, you do have some idiotic ways." I said without a care in the world and he smacked my head.
' Ah…that hurts!" I barked at him and he groaned at me.
' So, you should just relax, and we'll work things out for you seeing how bad you want her friendship."ian assured me, and I smiled.
' By the way, why do you want her friendship so badly?"axel asked and I smirked.
' With her…I have someone who will putian in his place all the time and get on his nerves as well." I said with a cackle.
' What?"
'Yeah you heard me right, she's going to be by my side and be my ally in getting on your nerves." I said gladly with a grin and he hit me with the pillow.
' Ah…sometimes I just wonder why I got a troublesome brother like you.axel why don't you forget about helping him out."
'Of course, not I can't do that."axel replied and he stared at us with disbelieve.
' So, you two are on the same side?"
' Oh yeah."axel and I said with a chorus. ' Ah well…who knows what I'm capable of.
Sandra wouldn't hesitate to become the crowned Prince's girlfriend." He said with a mischievous smile andaxel frowned.
' There's no way she'll be the girlfriend of the guy who doesn't like her best friend. Never."axel said sharply and I couldn't help but giggle.
Does he seriously like Sandra? There are many second years after him and even third years as well, but he likes a first-year student. Oh my,axel in love.
