Chapter 66

' We are here sir." The driver said and pulled off in front of the hospital. They got out and rushed him into the emergency ward.
Gianna was restless as she waited outside the operating room and waiting for some news from the doctors.
She refused to even wash the blood off of her cloths and body, all she wanted was to hear that he's fine and that the bullet had been taken out of him.
On the other hand, the police Chase's after the car, she sped up and even hit a few of the police men in her way.
The Police had no choice but to shot at the car, taking caution not to kill the driver.
Still she wouldn't stop as they chased her till she reached the bank of the bridge ahead of her was the sea. She was stick and had no chance of escaping bit as stubborn as she was, she tried to run over the policemen who were standing outside but before she could do that, one of them targeted and shot her right hand causing her to let go of the steering wheel.
'AH!!" She yelled behind the wheels as she held her bleeding arm. She looked up and there were police helicopters flying above her.
' You are surrounded, get out this minute and turn yourself in!" An officer ordered and she threw her head back.
'This is all that stupid Gianna's fault!" She yelled as she looked at the police through the car windows.
' I would've been dead by now if I hadn't taken the bulletproofed window car. Ah!!" She yelled hitting her wounded arm against the wheel and groaned in pain.
'I must be crazy! And why did that dumbass took the bullet for her? If she had been the one to take the bullet and she died, I would've gone to jail with satisfaction. Ah!!"
' Ah!!" she yelled and turned to the door as she opened it slowly.
' Hands behind your head!" The Officer ordered as they all pointed a gun at her. She was still in her cap and nose mask.
An officer went closer with his gun pointed at her and took off her nose mask and cap, they gasped
at the sight of whom the saw.
' Aurora, the fake Princess?" the officer gasped, so did the others.
' Why does he have to add that 'fake Princess" to my name!" she thought out loud to herself as she snapped at the officer.
'You have the right to remain silent or anything you say here will be used against you in the court of law!" the officer who handcuffed her said and she chuckled.
' Ah…that line is so boring, why don't you Police try to come up with something new?" She asked rudely and the officer shook his head sideways as two police men took her arm and showed her into the backseat of the police vehicle.
' This isn't over Gianna, I'll surely come back for that low life twerp!" she yelled from the back seat.
' Will you shut it already!" the officer yelled back at
her.
BACK AT THE HOSPITAL
'How is he doing doctor?" Gianna immediately asked the first doctor who got out of the operating room.
' I can't assure you of anything your highness, he is in a very critical condition at the moment but we promise to do our possible best to bring him out."
' what do you mean by critical condition?"
' Actually, the bullet pierced through his back to the front side of his chest and it was an inch closed to his heart causing some of the tissues around his heart to damage a little. We are doing all we can to save him. Fortunately, you did the right thing by pressing against the wound to avoid excess blood loss which really helped a lot.
If he had lost a lot of blood, we might have loose him."
' I don't care whether the tissues or whatever got damaged due to the bullet, I just want myian back okay, so get back in there and make sure none of you come out without good news! Please save him Doctor! Please!!' She cried holding the collar of the Doctor's uniform.
' We will do our possible best. He's the crowned Prince and I believe if we are able to save him...
It's going to benefit us all so please stay calm okay." The doctor tried to calm he down as she was weeping uncontrollably.
He gently sat her on the chair and when he saw the Royal family(Nico's family) approach, he bowed and went back into the operating room.
' Gianna…are you okay?" Waylon said rushing to her side.
' This is all my fault Waylon, this is all my fault. If I hadn't resent him so much and allowed him to
explain things to me when he pleaded with me all this wouldn't have happened. I was the one who called to meet him and now he has been shot because of me… This is all my fault." She cried and Waylon hugged her as she well I'm his arms.
' This is nowhere near your fault Gianna, I didn't know the truth as well back then and it's natural to resent him for the garbage he spoke to you five years ago. I don't thinkian would want to hear you blame yourself for what happened. Besides from the look of things, he saved your life."
' Why didn't he just let them shoot me instead! Why did he take the bullet then, now he's in there in a critical condition. He's such a weakling who is scared or syringe shots... Why would he take the bullet for me."
' That's because he loved you Gianna." The King (Nico's father) answered her and got closer to Gianna and Waylon.
' We were wrong about you back then and made him do what he did to you but he never stopped loving you dear. He even wanted to give up the throne if that was the only way to be with you." The King added.
' Our son's love for you is genuine and we hope you see that as well dear. I don't think he would want you to be beating yourself up with guilt.
You've got to be strong for him so he can make it out successfully.
Gianna turned to them and back to Waylon who nodded and held her face as he wiped her years with both thumbs.
' Now, go and get some bath and change. I wouldn't want people thinking you're wounded. Let me drive you home ' Waylon suggested and she nodded as he helped her up, now her clothes were mixed with blood and tears.
He drove her off to the Sol Empire castle. While he helped her out of the car, Ji Na and Ji Tae came running to them.
' Oh…mom, are you okay?" they asked her the moment they saw the bloodstains on her clothes.
'Mom?" Waylon whispered with shock.
' I'm fine." She said forcing a smile as she tried to cover her swollen eyes from them.
' We've waited so long for you. We heard Uncle Tae got shot by someone. Is he alright?" Ji Na asked as tears started to fall down her cheeks.
' Will he be alright?" Ji Tae asked her and she nodded.
' Yeah, the doctors are doing their best so he will be fine very soon okay. Let us all pray for him okay."
' Sure, we will make sure to pray for him hardly tonight." They said with a chorus.
Waylon walked up to them and they greeted him politely.
' You must be the Uncle Tae's younger brother. Granny told us that Uncle Tae is a Prince and she even showed us his pictures and also told us you were Uncle Waylon."
' Of course, I am . Nice to meet you too." Waylon said with a smile and they giggled.
Gianna and Waylon followed behind as Ji Na and Ji Tae led the way. There was total silence between them but curiosity was eating Waylon up till he couldn't take it anymore.
' Are they you and Thaddeus' kids?" He asked pulling her back.
' Huh?"
' Ji Na and Ji Tae…are they you and Tha…"
' No, Thaddeus and I never had an affair. He respected my decision to be alone so we just
remained as friends."
' Then who's the father of those kids…no…. don't tell me it's…"
' Yes, it's your brotherian. I realized I was carrying his child few days after he ended things with me. I got to know they were twins and even though I wanted nothing to do with him during that time…I kept the children and they reminded me of him all the time. They were the best gifts I could ever get. I was planning on telling him everything…today…but…." She said as she began to sob and Waylon hugged her.
' It's alright, don't cry anymore." He said hugging her as she sobbed.
Waylon stayed a bit longer with the family and they pondered onian's condition. They were all worried and wanted to go see him at the hospital but then they couldn't because he was still under care and they wouldn't get the chance to see him even if they did.
' I'm very sure that it's the witch!" Zoe said angrily.
' Which witch?" Sandra asked.
' Witch?"axel asked Sandra and she shook her head.
' I meant witch 'witch"."
' Which witch?'axel asked again.
'No…she meant which as in a question and witch as in witchcraft." Mason interjected.
' Oh, okay so she meant which of the witch is?"axel asked again and Zoe threw a pillow at him.
' Hey! How can you be such a dumbass, you embarrass me." She cried making everyone laugh.
' So, the witch?" he asked her.
' Ah, forget it." She said turning away and try giggled.
' These two are hilarious, they can open you laughing all day." Sandra said amidst laughter. They all turned to telephone as they heard it ring.
' I'll get it." Lady Ember said and went for the phone.
She returned to them and sighed.
' They caught the shooter." She announced. ' And who's he?"
' It's a she."
' A she?" Gianna asked totally confused. ' It's Aurora."
'I knew it!" Zoe said with clenched teeth.
Early the following day, Gianna got dressed up in her peach sleeves dress and headed for the police station. Upon her arrival, she requested to see Aurora and was directed to her cell.
'Hey…you've got a visitor." The Officer said to Aurora.
' Who's that?" she asked.
' it's me." Gianna interjected as she walked to her cell and sat opposite her with the glass barrier in between them.
' Do I have a choice on deciding who I want visiting me?" Aurora asked the officer seated next to her.
Gianna took in a deep breath and took the telephone which they spoke through and signaled Aurora to listen.
' What is it again. Are you here to drag my face in the mud and insult me?" Aurora sarcastically said to Gianna the moment she took the telephone on her side.
' No am not here to do that. Aurora…(she glared at her)"
'What?"
' Why did you do it?"
' Don't you know? That bullet was meant for you, you know how much I hate you. You took my place as the Princess of Sol Empire and then tried stealing away my man and you thought I would just sit still and watch you? No Gianna, I won't."
' So, are you happy now? You say you love him but don't sympathize with him. He's in a very critical condition right now and he just has five percent chance at life. Can you at least show regret for just a minute for your action?"
' Hah... me? Regret? Don't expect those from me. If I don't get him neither will you dear. I just hope he dies and we both lose him!"
' Even though you say that out loud, I know you don't mean it because you have strong feelings for him. Aurora, don't be like this. Let's just put out all that hatred between us away and I am willing to keep you by our side. Please stop been so bitter.
I'm willing to give you another chan…"
' I don't want your sympathy! Go to Hell!" Aurora said angrily and walked out on Gianna who tried so hard to hold back her tears.

Ah the name sounds kind of weird Shades 'Aren't you a Princess now?"
' Yeah, but it sounds kinda awkward I've lived my entire life as the 'red orchid Gianna" well I think I'll adapt to it since it's my new title 'Princess Gianna" how time flies. From a low-class street girl to a Princess, God works wondrously.
Being all elegant is boring. Just please don't tell my granny I said that.
BACK TO STORY
Days turned into weeks and weeks into months, fortunately our prayers were answered and well my loveian was out of danger and has recovered buoyantly! Is that even the right word to use
'So, are you going to tell them now?" Thaddeus asked and I nodded.
' It's time I do that. I don't know how they're going to take it though."
' They really like him and that's the advantage you know. Realizing the father, they've been asking of is
the Princeian whom they love so much. That's how nature works, their hearts just ended up loving each other since their blood relatives. I've seen the look in his eyes when he's with them. It's time you tell them the truth."
' Sure. There they come." I said turning towards the doorway as Ji Na and Ji Tae happily ran to my side.
' Mommy…mommy, the doctor said Uncle Tae will be discharged tomorrow!!" Ji Tae said jumping from toe to toe excitedly.
' That's a great news, right?" Ji Na asked and I nodded.
' Ji Na… Ji Tae…mommy has something to tell you." I said and they looked up at me. I turned to Thaddeus who nodded his head and gave me a very motivating look then I turned back to them.
' Remember when you two asked me about your father when we were back in England?" I asked and they nodded with a smile.
' Has he come?" Ji Tae asked expectantly.
' Well, your daddy is a really great man and he's a Prince too."
' Like Uncleian?" they asked with a chorus. ' Actually…."
'Actually??" ' Urmmm…" 'Urmmm?"
Will they take it well, it is going to hit them hard or? Whatever, lemme just give it a try.
' Actually, Uncle Tae is your father." I confessed and their jaw dropped.

' That is awesome!!! I can't believe he's our dad. Mom were you trying to hide it from us because
we would be overly excited if we got to know that our father is a Prince?" Ji Tae asked and I nodded.
These kids are like two old people, sometimes I'm even shocked with the way they behave and the words they say.
' We are so excited!!" they said with a chorus.
' I can't wait to call him Daddy!! No wonder I have Tae to my name just like him. You love Daddy a lot don't you." Ji Tae blurted out and my eyes grew wider.
' Go and take your shower it's time for dinner." I said changing the topic as I held their hands and walked them to their rooms.
' You just love their attention! Why don't you go and marry them instead huh! I'm so sick and tired of your behavior!" Zoe yelled.
I stood by the hallway as I watched her argue with Mason and walked into the hall.
' Will you please listen to me dear. I just took a few pictures with them they are my fans."
'Then go and date them instead… you're always concerned about them. Just take a look at this! I twisted my ankle while you were busy signing autographs for them and I groaned in pain. You even cared less about how I was doing when they came flooding all around you. You know what…I'm leaving!" Zoe exploded and headed for her room.
' Baby, baby please! Baby please don't go! I'm sorry. I'm really sorry!" Mason went crying after her and I watched them with my arms akimbo.
' Gianna, please help me out here please." He pleaded walking back to me but I shook my head sideways.
