Chapter 31

Williams looks at his watch for the fifth time, he seems to be getting pissed and if anything should happen, he would blow off.
He looked at Rosie, who stood beside him with black stuff hidden in the waistband of her pink suit jacket.

"I think he would be here soon, sir," She said with a straight face.

Williams smirked at the seriousness of her face, he stared at her from head to toe, observing the way the pink trousers and pink jacket made her look like a badass barbie.
He nurses the half glass of champagne he had been holding for the past ten minutes. He put his index finger into the cup and began to stir, mixing the champagne with the ice cubes.

"How did you know Karen was not at her place the last time I went there?". He slowly looks at her stern face and smiled, it looked more like a toothy grin " You know how I love to acknowledge".

"I have no idea what you are talking about" Rosie faked a smile.

Williams scoffed, he pours the spirit in his mouth, points his finger at her, and back to the cup. She refilled the glass with her usual fake smile on her face, she raised the cup to his face.

   "Your drink, sir".

Returning the same fake smile, he grabbed her hand with the cup "I know you are up to something smelly" he winked his nose and scoffed "I just don't see why I can not see what exactly you are doing".

" I have told you before sir, I have no idea what you are talking about" She walked back to her position beside the door.

Williams stares at her for a while, he wants to say many things but still doesn't know how to start it. He ran his fingers into his styled black hair, rendering the gentlemen's style to nothing. His hazel-green eyes locked with Rosie's uncertain ones.

"Williams Hughes!" The door burst open and a middle-aged man walked in "I'm so sorry for keeping you waiting, two pretty ladies just walked into my back office for".

" So you rather have two pretty ladies and keep me waiting for five minutes!" Williams interrupted, he smirked as he noticed the uneasy look on the man's face.

He silently ordered Rosie to fill a glass for the man, which she did without a problem.

"Cheers to coming late, Mr. Richard" He raised his cup a bit higher from the table in exchange for his long legs.

Richard stared at him with mixed expression, mostly pissed and angry.

"You know nothing would happen to you if you act with some respect" Richard sips from his cup "And this is my office, gently remove your heavy legs from my table or I call people to do it for you".

Williams grinned, he locked his eyes into Richard's looking one before he removed his legs from the table. He wiggled his index finger at Rosie, who gave him a magazine, immediately, he passed it to Richard.

" Like father like son," Richard smiled as he took the magazine "What's wrong this time?".

Williams turned to Rosie, them the door. In return, Rosie nodded and walked out, she should probably be behind the door.

" We are out of girls" He started "My father doesn't want me to get involved, at least 'not now' accordingly to him".

Richard exhaled, he flipped through the pages of the magazine before looking at Williams's confused face. He found a piece of paper in one of the pages, took it, and gave the magazine back to Williams.

   "Why did he send you?".

" He said I also need to start knowing the way". Williams shrugged and sips from his drink.

Richard stayed silent again for a while, he seen to be focused on what he is doing on his phone. He heard Williams snapping his thumb and middle finger together.

"I'm here," he said irritated "I am also running out of girls but let's make it a win-win".

Williams crooked an eyebrow "And how is that?" He simply looked lost.

"Since he doesn't want you to be involved, or rather not yet, let me talk to him by myself".

"Mind sharing?" Williams wiggled his brows and smiled sweetly.

Richard burst into laughter, he shook his head before refilling his glass.
"That's men's talk" he simply said "You are a cute boy, I must admit".

" Kill me!" Williams smiled "I'm no longer a kid, stop calling me cute".

They stare at each other smiling, it almost seemed like they were not looking stern and talking about been rude and running out of girls some minutes ago.

" So what's up with the pretty ladies that came earlier?" Williams relaxes in his chair, trying not to drink more or get drunk.

"Just one of my long-time forbidden lovers and a redhead that looks like a fairy tale Princess".

Williams lean forward "How much have you been watching Nickelodeon with your kids?".

Richard laugh out loud, he gulped the remaining drink from his cup and stood up "For four years now" he walked to the door "Don't want to keep them waiting".

Williams smiled in response, he stood up too and walked close to him.
" Mind if I get to look at them?" He smiled sweetly.

"You know I find it hard to resist this cute some of yours" Richard put his right hand over Williams's shoulder "You remind me of the foolish reason I made when I refuse to get married when your father was".

"What's the reason?" They walked out, Rosie followed after them.

"I was fucking too scared to take care of a baby" They entered any elevator with 'FAULTY' written on it "Same as your father, that was why he ran away from Michael's mother".

Williams suddenly seems over interested in what he was saying that he didn't notice when the man pressed 'OUT' in the elevator.

"Next time boy" Richard tapped his neck "Pay attention" he grinned, he noticed the boy's eager expression "Go ask your father why won't sell my friend out".

Williams gasps, he placed both hands in his pocket, crossed his legs, and rested on the wall.
"I am the legitimate son of my father remember?"

"You are just a spoilt son, whom his father loves so much" Richard blurted out.

Rosie chuckled, that came out as a mistake as she quickly wore a straight face. She blinked vigorously, trying to hide the smile.

"Let the poor girl be, Williams" Richard chuckled, he pulled Rosie to himself as kissed her cheek "She has been a good girl,  let her the girl breathe".

He smiled at Rosie who whispered gratitude before moving slowly away from his grip. She seems to love her previous position, her hands behind her, resting on her butt. Her pretty angry face looked ahead, blankly, and her sexy legs relaxed elegantly on her six inches long heels.

"One last thing kid" Richard looked at Williams "You have only the redhead".

The one with the red hair remembered him of someone he had been trying to forget every day. His whole body jolt at the mention of the nickname, hopefully, he could use her to pass time and forget about Melissa.

Every time he closes his green eyes, he sees her brown eyes starring deeply into his evil soul. He feels her lips on his every moment like he just kissed her seconds ago.

"Fuck!" He cursed as he stood up.

"Change of plans, son," Richard said calmly, not even turning to look at his face.

"Yes," That came out hoarse "I need to attend some online classes and do some assignments".

Richard scoffed, turned back to look at Williams, and brought out a small bottle of alcohol from his pocket "We both know you are lying" He tilted his head "This looks like a girly face".

Williams seemed surprised before his face went back to normal, he waited patiently for the elevator to stop which happen almost immediately.

" I can cope," he said as he stepped out "I will tell my father you want to speak with him".

With that, he walked away, hoping to walk away from his problem for some time. Badly enough, Melissa's moan keep ringing in his ear like her lips was close to him, only that he could not feel her breath.

The last time he took her number from her social media profile, he had been holding himself not to call her. At least hearing her voice would make things better but making him weak at the same time.

   "Hello," her sweet voice said.

He had failed this time, he couldn't stop himself from calling and now he would have to do something, something really smart.

   "Hello?" Her voice grew louder.

   "Melissa" He groaned.

"Daddy?" She sounded pissed and relief "Nikolas is that you?".

Williams's heartache, he didn't want to kill her joy or make her sad and angry by letting her know the true caller, so he played along.

"It's been a while, Melissa". He paused " Hope you received what I sent to you".
