Chapter 50

Williams didn't move a muscle nor did his cold face show any reaction, he just wait still as if allowing Melissa to unleash her pain and anger as she slapped him twice again.

"What have you done?" She cried as she began to punch his broad chest "Williams please tell me something"

"I hate to break it to you but, your father does not want you and I don't see why you are crying over him," Williams said coldly as he tried to contain her hands in his.

Even when everything would want Melissa to believe him, she doesn't want to believe her father would abandon her.

"My dad loves me" She pushed him "and he tells me he loves me every time we talk" she rushed to her bedside and brought out a book from her pillow "I will prove it to you"

Williams and the rest girls watch as Melissa went through the book, almost ripping out some pages with her impatient hands.

"This doesn't look good" Leah muttered as she chew chip noisily, earning deadly glares from Williams and Sam "Care for some?" She extend the pack to Sam who had a little smile on her face.

Poor Melissa, kept running her finger through the book until she got to where she wanted.

"Someone give me a phone" she yelled.

"Are you calling the police?" Leah asked as she dipped her hand in her pocket and brought out her phone. Her smile disappeared as Melissa snatched the phone from her "You are welcome Melissa, anytime" She rolled her eyes, amplifying every possible bit of sarcasm.

The red hair, Melissa, chose to ignore her as she quickly dial a number from the book, her hands were shaking as she brought the phone to her ear. After waiting for a while, she dialed the number again.

"Nicolas," she said through clenched teeth "You have to fucking answer your PHONE!" She yelled as she raised the phone to her ear again.

Williams flinched, a little that wasn't really noticed except by Molly who seems to be marking him all this while. He placed his hand in his left pocket as his jaw bone began to move, gnashing his teeth.

Melissa's eyes became stormy as she wiped the angrily with the back of her palm, yelled, and failing the number again.

"FUCK!!" She screamed, causing everyone in the room to flinch "Fucking pick up!" She fell to her knees.

Williams couldn't stand the view, he could not stand her pain and tears. He couldn't stand the way she was pulling her hair and screaming, crying, begging Nicolas to pick the call. He quickly turned his back at the view, wiping a drop of tears from the corner of his left eye.

"I will prove you wrong Williams," Melissa said again as she starts dialing the number again, "He told me he is now working, and he sends me some money sometimes" she pushed her hair off her face "He might have been busy before, just wait he will pick this one up"

"Melissa stop it," Molly said as she went to hug her but Melissa pushed her away "Please let me hold you"

"Don't fucking touch me" She yelled "Nobody should touch me until Nicolas fucking puck his godamm call"

She raised the phone up so everyone could see as she start calling again. She looked at their faces as if excepting something from them. She noticed Williams said face, his sad hazel eyes luring her to rush to him and have his arms around her but she looked away almost immediately.

   "Melissa"

A single word. Just her name was what he need to get her undivided attention which he did have.

He brought out his and for his pocket, bringing out a phone with it. The phone vibrated in his strong grip with 'my world' written as the caller.

"What's that supposed to be?" Molly scoffed "It's Karen, or what's the other one's name"

"Melissa" Leah muttered with her mouth full of chips.

"C'mon Leah!" Sam yelled, "Can you be less annoying for once?"

"I am" Leah pouts, she stood up and walked to Williams in an attempt to take the phone "I am going to pick that up and you will see it's Melissa"

Before she could reach me, the call had already ended and Melissa had I quickly dial the call again. Her heart skipped a beat and nearly exploded as the phone began to ring as she said the number.

"His second love is Our Melissa Harts" Leah smiled, she tugs the phone from Williams, thinking he might not want her to touch it, she smiled and pick the call.

"Hello?" Melissa said from her own end.

"I can hear you" Leah smiled as she returned the phone to Williams.

Melissa couldn't contain her shock, pain, anger, and surprise. She walked to Williams and slapped him again.

   "How could you?" She cried.

"Forgive me" was all Williams could say.

He didn't want to go into a long talk, like when he overheard a discussion with the person in charge of scholarship talking about Melissa's scholarship been declined and given to one Karen Stefan. That day, he was so mad at Karen that he came to confront her.

But painful enough, he found his brother with Melissa, she seems happy as he had always wanted her but not with his devil brother. He couldn't just leave like that, he couldn't also tell Melissa about the ended scholarship or kill her happiness.
Finally, he had to go, pay on her behalf, and have her still in school from his money. He knew Mr. Lopez knew that Melissa's father refused to act positively to her school needs, but he didn't know that he is paying for Melissa's fees.

The old man could have sensed that Melissa might be in danger of a fake father that was why he spoke about it. So Melissa would know how her form got signed.

He pulled Melissa gently and planted a long kiss on her lips. At first, it was just him doing the kissing but later Melissa gave up and kissed him back.

The last kiss he had with Melissa was intimate and loving but this one seems different. It was filled with possession, pain, anger, surprise, and secret. The kiss seems like a healing balm and at the same time, it felt like salt, been added to Melissa's wound.

Melissa unfortunately broke the kiss. She turned back to see the girls staring at her in surprise not knowing what to do.

"No one should follow me" was the last thing she said as she ran outside the open talk.

She could hear her friend's argument as she ran off, she could hear Williams's sweet deep voice, calling her. Followed by things breaking, even without seeing them, she knew the only person that could do that.

"Do you really have to hide this from us all this while? " she heard molly yell.

"Hide what?" Leah asked her voiced quite muffled indication that she still had her mouth filled with chips "I just figured it out"

"You are lying, Leah" Molly's voice became louder "I will fuvking kill you if I find out you know about this"

"No problem" Leah replied, her voice clear "I will gladly wait for that time" she paused for a while "Should we be worried about Williams still breaking stuff?"

Silent followed, except the breaking noise of glass and Williams yelling.

"No" Sam's angelic voice replied "He has the money to fix it all, just let him unleash his anger"

"What about Melissa?" Leah asked, "What if she gets herself hurt or something?"

"Poor girl," Sam said "I really wish I can fry her brain for her, she had been through a lot. Leah, you are the only abnormal person that can hold her now, why not try to pet her molly and I will meet you at your house"

"On it" Leah responded as she stood up, grabbing her pack of chips with her.

For a second she wanted to run back to her friends and seek comfort from them. Or may Williams always open arms, to cry on his broad chest then slap him for tricking her. But she could not, her broken heart urgently needed some space and free time to breathe.

The cool evening breeze blew a little but calmness into her as she stepped out of the elevator then walk to the exit of the building. She closed her eyes as she looked up and deeply exhaled.

    "Why me?" She whispered.

She open her eyes to meet a familiar car parked in front of her. She didn't wish to do anything, not cry, not become angry or sad. She was just too tired to fight back her fate.

She watched as Ryan walked to her, slowly, avoiding her piercing gaze. It almost fit as her shoulders could no longer carry her neck as it seem bent in defeat.

    "Ryan Sanders," she said coldly.
Tonight we are young
