Chapter 44
Everything else happen to like it was in a movie.
Melissa heard the door burst open as four men in a Black suit walked in, they grabbed Michael away from Melissa and waited for the last person, who seems to be hiding his face from her.
The four men look huge, their visible skin was covered with tattoos from their wrist to neck. The black suits looked like it was too tight and was strangling them. But still, they looked void, not peaceful, not angry, no emotions at all as they stood at their various spots.
Two of the men in black were still holding Michael who had a disgusting smirk on his face while the remaining two stood behind the last man, holding black stuffed objects.
The last man seems angry as she was yelling before he got close, he removed his watch, rings, and necklaces. One of the remaining two quickly collected them from him and pass him white clothe. In which he used to wrap around his knuckles.
He grabbed Michael by the neck and began to punch him, yelling and cursing. He kept punching Michael who had refused to fight back, his face looked really messed up but his signature smirk was still plastered on his face.
"You fucking bastard" the person yelling "You fucking psycho" he stopped punching Michael and looked up at the men holding him.
"Lock him in my personal basement" His voice sternly ordered.
Immediately, like they were puppets, the men walked out after putting a rubber cuff on Michael's wrist.
One of the men effortlessly threw Michael over his shoulder as he walked out, he didn't hold him with both hands, he just touch his back so Micheal would know he is still in charge.
Slowly and visibly shaking, the last turned to Melissa, his hazel-green eyes roam around Melissa's body as he fell on his knees beside her, just staring at her.
She didn't bother much, she didn't care at all. For she was naked, lying unconscious with pain all over her body.
She didn't know why she didn't pass out fully earlier, the sympathetic look she was getting from the last man would have never been noticed.
The last man wore a casual cloth, his jean trousers and white now looked a bit dirty, with droplets of blood on his shirt. His hair was a rough mess and his eyes were not helping matters, he smells of strong vodka and whiskey.
"Melissa!" He took her into his arms and hugged her right.
He started at her open eyes and began to shake her, since she was staring at him, she had refused to blink, she only let tears flow down her eyes like a river.
"Please blink Melissa" he pleaded more.
For the first time, Melissa noticed a small tattoo at the back of the man's ear boldly written 'I lied'. She look at his face and smiled before drifting out of consciousness full, at least she is in a safe hand and Williams will not let anything happen to her.
*****
Fully awake but eyes close, Melissa knew she was in a strange environment, the bed was too comfortable to be hers or the last one she was on. She opened her eyes slowly, blinking vigorously to adjust to the level of bright light in the room.
She looked at her side to see the strong figure of a man's back, talking to a woman. He sounds pissed as the woman kept trying to calm him down by apologizing.
Slowly, she tried to get out the bed, she just want to leave the room without been noticed but something caught her attention. She noticed her handbag and her phone on a small table beside the bed, everything slowly began to work into place.
It started like blurry images, then pictures and voices until it turned out to be a complete video.
The woman finished talking and bowed slightly before leaving the room, leaving her alone with the man. For a reason still not know she panicked and tried to run to the far edge of the king-size bed.
Immediately she put her first step, her leg seem to click on something, it gave way and open. Making her miss and next step and slipped out of the bed.
"Fuck!" She winced as she tried to get up.
Her brown eyes locked with a familiar one as she looked up.
Williams just stood still like he had seen a ghost, he wasn't really looking at her face but the place she had click and open. For a while, he stood still contemplating if to no e first or let her make the first move.
"Williams?" It sounds more like a question "I- I, Williams. Michael".
His heart clenched as he see her curled into a ball and began to cry, he rushed to her and took her in his arms, placing kisses all over her face and head.
" Williams, I failed myself" she cried more.
For a moment Williams couldn't say anything, he was just thinking of every 1900 way to make Michael pay without killing him.
"It's okay Melissa" his cold voice echoed around the room "It's okay, it's not your fault and no one deserves it".
But she wouldn't listen, she kept crying and hitting his hard chest, her face became hot and as red as her hair. He couldn't get to look more as every single drop of her tears seems to hurt him in a way he never knew he could be hurt.
He let her cry, let her drown her pain by hitting his chest and kicking against her feet. When it seem like she had cried to her full, he carried her in a bridal style and walked to the bed.
" I am sorry Williams," she said.
Williams only looked at her and smile, he doesn't know what she was apologizing for but still, he doesn't want to ruin her moment by asking too many questions like what he wants to start asking.
"Williams?" She called again.
"Yes?"
"How did you find me?" She moved to get a better view of his face.
"You asked me to track you and Michael didn't put off the phone the whole time" he answered coldly.
His eyes were dark and fixed to the door like he was expecting someone to burst into the room. He put out stray hair from her face and kissed her forehead.
"I am scared" she curled more Into him, he held her as she began to sob again "It's all my fault".
" No, it's not"
"Yes it is"
"You were doing what you could have done when everyone else would go to sell her body" Williams defended her.
"But I am still selling the body anyways" she buried her head in his shoulder as fresh tears began to flow.
She noticed something she had seen earlier and touched it, the tattoo. She had seen his body tattoo all of it almost meaningless but the lonely one seems significant.
She traced it with her smallest finger and read out the words absentmindedly. Flashback of Williams hitting Michael displayed itself and she flinched. If Michael should be out there he must be up to something.
"Where is Michael?". She blurted out.
Williams went visibly stiff, he mentally created a scenario and sighed.
" He got away" he simply lied.
"I thought some men took him out" she looked at his face confused, trying to remember what had happened.
"I saw some giant men in black with you this afternoon". She blinked, with an uncertain look on her red face.
" That was yesterday evening" Williams corrected "And they let him escape, I wish I could hit them all or make them lose their job and rot in the street so next time they would......."
Blah! Blah!! Blah!!
Williams kept talking that he didn't notice Melissa's worried look. She was now seated on his laps facing him, her boobs were almost touching his jaw as he talked more about what Melissa wasn't ready to listen to.
"I am fucked up!" Pure terror was written all over her face.
"Sorry?" Williams seems not to have heard her well as he looked up at her face.
Very fast, she Springs off the bed and rushed to her phone, shaking as she fumbled to put it on, after pressing it long it still refused to come on.
"Is it about the mail you have to deliver to your father and Mr. Lopez?" Williams asked unsure of what else she could be looking for "It's already three o'clock and you don't have a lecture today, I texted your friends and told them we're off to work and had a chat with your father?".
The last words seem foreign to his lips like he was unsure of what he was saying or doesn't want to say it.
" How did you do that?" She put both hands on her abdomen, her brows flinched as she watch him fumble with his words.
"Oh! That? Well, it's not like it's something hard" He smiled sheepishly "Or is it something hard? I don't think so. I am sure I chat with your friends, and spoke to your dad and help you fill the form".
"My phone is broken and blank" Melissa said dryly "How did you get to do all that?"
Williams beamed, but the beaming turned to terror as Melissa's eyes become stormy.
"Don't lie to me, just tell me I missed this year's opportunity and I will grief in peace" she sniffed.
"Well, I kinda won't say that" his face became serious "I couldn't get your father's email or contact or I only hacked into your phone, filled the form, and fake your father's signature"
"You faked what?" She yelled.
