Chapter 20 - Diving in.

Cara and Nicholas felt a bit awkward waking up next to each other in the morning, but it definitely seemed as if they both made a silent resolve not to talk about it at all.

Because Nicholas had quietly left for his room after putting on his clothes and Cara had simply laid in bed while he left.

They had gone about their daily activities that was planned for the day while secretly thinking about each other.

Mid afternoon, after Cara had breakfast and an early morning seminar at the seminar room, she then received a call from her friend Malory while she was walking back to her room to rest.

"So? How's the resort?"

Malory asked and Cara grinned widely at her friend.

Malory seemed to have moved back to her place and she was in her kitchen as she face timed Cara.

"It's simply beautiful. You wouldn't believe how serene and pretty it is. It has everything."

"Awwwn "

Malory cooed.

"Now I feel like I need to be there. I can't stop looking at the pictures you sent me! You're glowing."

Cara did a little dance out of excitement.

"I know! The sun here is wonderful!"

"And I don't miss work or anything stress related. I'm just getting enough sleep and just enjoying the convention. "

"Mr Kurosaki is also very chill about a lot of things so he's making this quite an experience for us."

"That's good. That's pretty good. I'm so glad you're taking out time to just relax."

"Oh I am! Thank you very much."

They talked about other things, about Malory and her boyfriend, her dress fitting and Malory also gave Cara an update about the wedding when Nicholas barged into her room.

"Cara are you busy? Can we talk?"

He asked as he walked in. As soon as he noticed that she was on a call he mouthed an 'oh' and he took a few steps back.

"I'll come back later."

"Was that Nicholas?"

Malory asked as she tried to look and Cara quickly tilted her camera to another direction.

She laughed nervously, she wasn't planning to tell Malory or anyone that she saw Nicholas at the convention.

"Yes. Nicholas is here too. I also didn't know. I think Mr Kurosaki invited him or something."

Malory paused.

"Oh! Why didn't you tell me?"

Cara shrugged.

"I didn't think it was important. Besides I've barely seen him and talked with him and all."

She lied as she quickly tried to brush off the issue.

"Oh okay. Say hello to him for me. I have to go now."

"Awwn. Okay! I'll call you later and show you as much as I can okay?"

Cara said and Malory nodded.

"Yes! Yes. I'm looking forward to it."

"Great. I have to go now. Bye Cara."

"Yes. Talk to you later Mal."

That was close.

Cara thought as she ended the call.

What was Nicholas thinking when he barged into her room? She knew they hadn't really talked after what happened and she was very okay with it, because she didn't even know if she wanted them to talk about it.

She wasn't ready to confront it either.
All she knew was that she had a wonderful and unforgettable night with him and whatever it was that they had, she didn't want to ruin it.

Even though it meant that it'll cost her a lot of things.

She looked at the resort brochure again and looked outside her window, the pool didn't have a lot of people in it and she had still not tried it out.

She was going to go for a swim, she missed being in the water.

She unpacked one of her bathing suits, it was a two piece simple black bikini.

She would go out for a swim and then she'd come back to take a nap, she decided as she stripped and put her bikini on.

There was a black robe that she owned and she had packed it along too, she wore it over her bikini and put on a pair of slippers.

Sunlight played upon the surface of the water as if sweetly inviting Cara to play. She had stopped by at the bar to talk to a few people who were there for the convention that she knew and immediately went for a dip in the water.

The water was cool and relaxing. It was so nice that Cara stayed still in it for a few moments before lifting her head out of water.

She was a fairly good swimmer, swimming was just one of those activities that she wasn't really bad at and wasn't really good at either. She just knew how to do it. Her parents had made her learn at a young age and living in New York and having a busy job didn't really give her a lot of chance to swim in many pools.

"How's the water?!"

Nicholas called out from the far end of the pool and Cara turned to see him. Her heart skipped a beat when she saw him and she smiled mildly.

"Why don't you come in and see."

She said and Nicholas raised an eyebrow.

"Is that an invitation?"

"I don't know what it is Nick. Interpret it however you wish."

She said and he nodded.

"Smart answer."

He wanted to go into the pool with her, but he didn't leave his spot. It was most likely going to be a bad idea.

He just stayed and watched her.

Cara watched him stare at her.

He was wearing beach shorts and a shirt with green palm trees all over and has sunshades on.

He was smiling at her a bit and Cara couldn't help smiling back.

After a while she came out of the pool and Nicholas and her quietly walked back to her room.

In her room, Cara put on a large loose shirt and shorts while leaving her hair to air dry. The water from her hair slowly soaked through the front of the loose shirt.

"Want something to eat?"

She asked Nicholas and he shrugged.

"I'm kind of full."

"I ate breakfast at the restaurant with Mr Kurosaki."

She nodded slowly, not knowing what else to say or what to offer him. The silence between them was deafening, it was almost as if they had so many things to say and yet the both of them didn't say a word.

"You know... Sometimes I wonder what would have happened if things were different for us that night we first met."

Nicholas said and Cara raised her eyebrows.

He shrugged.

"I saw you before he did. If I had pursued you first, maybe things would have been a little different."

Cara rolled her eyes.

"How? I mean sure we would have hit it off, but then you'd probably get tired of me and move on to other girls."

"Cara..."

"I'm not that kind of guy."

He said in a low tone and Cara shrugged.

"Well. I can't be too sure Nick. You haven't been in a stable relationship in a long time. What would make me any different from the rest of the other girls you meet?"

"Because I don't feel the same way I feel about them with you."

Cara paused.

"With you, it's different for me. I've never felt this way about anyone Cara. "

"Sometimes, it scares me. Because you're this one thing I want so bad and yet I know I can't have."

"But after last night..."

"I don't want to talk about what happened last night!"

Cara snapped and Nicholas paused, the two of them stood at opposite ends in the room.

"Oh but we have to. This is the second time I've been in your bed Cara. And from the looks of things, you want me just as bad as I want you."

"But I shouldn't. I shouldn't be thinking about you this way... It's wrong."

Nicholas walked towards Cara. She had her back turned towards him and she was looking out the window, thinking of a million and one things.

"We have two more days to spend here. I suggest we make the most out of it."

He gently and slowly put his arms around her waist, pulling her slowly to him as he gently caressed her waist while planting kisses on her neck.

"What are you insinuating?"

Cara said softly, her resolve crumbling fast, whatever bit of common sense she was clinging too was dissipating with every kiss that Nicholas was planting on her neck, he just had a sort of effect on her, she really couldn't explain it. And she couldn't resist him, no matter how hard she tried.

"You know exactly what I'm talking about."

He said huskily.

His eyes roamed down to her lips and traced the centre of her neck down to her aching breasts beneath the robe. She could feel the tightness of her nipples against her flimsy robe and she was sure he could see it too.

He took his finger and traced her lips. her tongue peered out and licked his fingertips slowly.

Cara felt her body betraying her, she had not kissed him yet and yet she couldn't help herself. He leaned in and kissed her, their tongues battling for dominance as Cara ran her fingers through his silky soft hair and slowly pulled his mouth down to her neck.

Every touch sent shockwaves through her, awakening an untamed desire.

"I want you so bad it hurts."

He whispered against her ear as he carried her to the bed. Slowly he took off her robe, never taking his eyes off her. Cara became lost in his eyes as they promised her unadulterated seduction.

She felt her robe slipping away and her fingers moved quickly to unbutton his shirt till taunt ripped muscles appeared before her. Her hands travelled as she kissed his chest, she could hear him groaning as he caressed her softly. Her hands moved to his belt and she unbuckled them.
She gripped his manhood softly, with care and a little bit of reverence for it.

Her hands trembled slightly as she swallowed her, seeing it up close, it was intimidating.

It was like looking at a beast.

He stroked the side of her cheeks gently, quietly encouraging her, then he lifted her up slowly and laid her on the bed. His palm sliding from her neck to her bikini top. Her heart pounded widely inside her and he expertly removed her panties as he kissed down her legs.

In an instant, her back arched off the bed as his mouth covered her in while. With his head in between her legs he worked slowly, tortuously, Cara could no longer resist as she cried out. He didn't stop, he only dived deeper.

The intensity in his eyes told her that there was more to come.

She was gasping for more as she pulled his hair. She felt him raise up her legs as he entered her in one fluid stroke that rendered her completely speechless.
