Aamber had just arrived from her flight to attend Aaron and Laurel's wedding. She headed straight for the office. Her brother left the entire control of the company in her hands while he was away.
Yes, Aaron founded this company from scratch. It was with his hard work and genius that this company became so big that hundreds of employees depended on it. All that he did to get Laurel and now the man has got her. Aaron deserves a vacation and enjoys being with Laurel. Aamber doesn't mind replacing Aaron's duties temporarily.
The cell phone in her bag rang as she was about to step into Aaron's study. She stopped in the hallway and picked up the call. Her mother had called from Spain.
“How is it?” her mother shot straight away, without further ado. “Your bro ended up marrying Laurel?”
“He did,” Aamber sighed. “I'm sorry, Mom, I persuaded him to tell you, but he refused for fear that you would rush over and attend his wedding. He is afraid that your arrival will ruin everything when Laurel finally recognizes you.”
“I really wanted to come to Aaron's wedding, but I understood enough not to spoil his plans.” The voice of Mrs. Irish Silverwhite, the Spanish woman who became Aaron and Aamber's mother, softened, “Is he happy?”
“He fell in love with Laurel. He's happy.” Amber smiled. “Hopefully the accident in the past did not ruin their happiness.” Aamber pondered for a moment. “If we can keep the truth about the accident from reaching Laurel's ears, I think they'd make a very good match.”
“I agree, because that girl named Laurel… she was the one who changed our Aaron for the better,” her mother sighed. “Well, maybe I should be patient and wait for the right time to thank Laurel.”
“There will be a time, Mom. Time has changed our faces. I hope Laurel doesn't remember that she met you after the accident.”
In the other corner of the hall, Brian was standing in the dark. He was about to walk towards the elevator when the voice of Aamber, Aaron's sister, talking on the phone caught his attention. Brian immediately stood in the corner of the hall, next to a large plant pot that covered him enough so that he wouldn't be seen by Aamber. He heard the conversation quite clearly.
Aaron and Laurel were rumored to have gone to the Island of the Gods for a business meeting, but Brian suspected something more and his suspicions were confirmed. From Aamber's phone conversation, he could conclude that Aaron and Laurel were married.
His chest felt like it was being squeezed, filled with pain. He really loves Laurel. The girl is so innocent and returns what he never believed in: love.
Brian used to not believe in love and spent his life as a playboy who likes to change women, having sex without strings attached. After all, he is quite a handsome man with a decent income so that many women are subject to him.
However, for him Laurel was different. The woman's innocence made him feel awakened. Unfortunately, just as he wanted to tread on a better path, loving Laurel with all his heart, everything was just crushed by something cunning, something that framed him and ruined his good name in front of Laurel.
Brian would make a name for himself again, he was determined. He'd heard something about "accidents in the past" mentioned in Aamber's conversation. Whatever the accident was, it seemed like it was important and they were afraid that Laurel would find out something.
Brian will find out. If it could bring Laurel back to him, he would try as hard as he could.

“Good morning,” Aaron greeted gently when Laurel opened her eyes.
It had been almost half an hour since Aaron had woken up, but had not moved from the bed. He lay on his side there, resting on his elbows and looking at his wife who was fast asleep beside him. Aaron loved looking at Laurel, he could do it for hours without getting bored.
The realization that he could now do that as Laurel's husband made him happy.
Laurel blinked her eyes. It took him a while to realize where he was and what had happened. The memory of yesterday's first night flooded her mind and made her blush. Aaron himself didn't seem to care, the man ran his fingers along Laurel's hips seductively.
“Do you sleep well?” Aaron looked at Laurel affectionately, leaving her speechless and could only nod her head. His fingers traced more and more boldly and touched her femininity. “Here… still hurt?” Aaron stroked it gently.
“Ah, my innocent Laurel… I'm sorry I had to hurt you.”
Aaron's breath hitched a bit and because they were both completely naked, Laurel could see how his manhood had tightened hard again. However, the man seemed to be holding back, he followed Laurel's gaze and smiled.
“Like I always say, I always harden when I'm with you, because you excite me so much.” Aaron stroked Laurel's cheek gently. “But today we will honor your loss of virginity by not touching you just yet.”
Laurel smiled, her heart warmed to receive Aaron's tenderness. This man seemed to mean what he said and since their marriage, she has always been treated with respect and love.
“Thank you, Aaron.”
“You're welcome, my wife.” Aaron kissed the tip of Laurel's nose gently. “Oh yeah, about the island Veronica told me about at the dinner after the wedding yesterday… I'm sorry I didn't talk to you earlier. Actually it will be our honeymoon surprise.”
“More surprise,” Laurel muttered subconsciously, looking at him accusingly.
Aaron chuckled, pulling Laurel into his arms. Their bodies were naked, warm, happy and contented from their love last night. Aaron did have an erection but he didn't care. The main thing is not to satisfy his desire for Laurel, the main thing is to be near her, alone and happy.
“The island is very beautiful. I inherited it from my father, the people are mostly fishermen and some work for me. We can enjoy the time alone there, getting to know each other more deeply.” Aaron's gaze became intense. “I'm sure, if we get to know each other more deeply, we will realize that we are a perfect match.”
Perfect match. Is it possible? She was an ordinary woman who lived an ordinary life, compared to Aaron, who all seemed so extraordinary. Laurel glanced at Aaron's manly, even his "that" was amazing. Laurel's cheeks turned red from that spontaneous thought.
The boat took them to land on the island's platform. Several people seemed to be waiting there. Aaron helped Laurel off the boat and carried her when they had to cross a shallow section of the sea, before stepping out onto the incredibly beautiful sandy beach.
It's really a great tropical beach paradise. The color of the sand was a little dark, but soft, so Laurel thoughtlessly took off her shoes and went barefoot. The cool beach air blew her hair so it waved against her cheeks. Several people who had been waiting immediately helped to edge the boat and lifted their suitcases.
An old man in formal attire greeted them and smiled broadly. “Welcome, Mr. Aaron, it's great that you can finally take your vacation and come back here.”
He greeted Aaron excitedly, then his gaze shifted to Laurel and he smiled appreciatively. “And this must be the charming Mrs. Aaron. Welcome to our island. Hope you like it, madam.”
Aaron laughed, patted the old man on the shoulder and smiled broadly at Laurel. “This is Mr. Gio. He is the head of the village on this island, as well as my housekeeper.”
“Your house is ready. The maids have tidied up your room so it looks like it was never left. Chris was also very happy that he was able to cook amazing dishes again for his master. Come on, let's go to the main house.”
Mr. Gio stepped ahead of them towards a rocky path with exotic planted coconut trees on its left and right.
The view of Aaron's house is incredible. The house stands tall on the highest hill by the coast. The back is connected specifically to a separate, fenced-in beach side, a private beach. The house paint is pure white, it fits perfectly with the view of the blue sea and green coconut trees that dominate the island. The curtains waved in the large western-style window at the front of the house.
“This house is a relic of the Dutch colonial era. My father bought some of the land on this island, almost sixty percent of the land here belongs to my father, used for the spice plantation and this area of the house. The rest is residential housing. This house has been completely restored by my father. He really likes all things old-fashioned.” Aaron smiled at Laurel and winked. “But don't worry, even if this house is an ancient house, there won't be any ghosts. Well, maybe if you see sightings of medieval broad-dressed women, ignore them.”
“Aaron!” Laurel mumbled a warning not to scare her with ghost stories, though then smiled knowing he was trying to tease her.
Aaron was right. The atmosphere of this house, this island, is very pleasant. Laurel suddenly felt so cheerful and happy. She never thought she would experience all of this, let alone with Aaron as well.
The fragrance of freshly baked cakes greeted them as soon as they entered the spacious living room, with white and brown tones blending beautifully. Aaron inhaled the scent and smiled.
“It must be Chris' toasted coconut cake.” Aaron glanced at the large door that seemed to lead down the hall to the kitchen. “Chris is my father's loyal old chef, who, when brought here by his father, falls in love with a woman on the island. He fell in love with life on this island and chose to spend his retirement here. You'll love the toasted coconut cakes he makes and his other spectacular dishes.”
From the smell alone it was so promising, Laurel smiled. Aaron looked different, seemed so free and happy on this island. He seemed carefree and Laurel was somehow happy to see the man looking so cheerful.
Aaron gently took Laurel into the kitchen. He introduced Chris to him who was baking bread there. Chris was a tall man from France, sixty years old but still looking fit, his expression cold. However, Laurel saw a warm glow in his eyes as he hugged Aaron and Laurel together with his big arms and greeted them.
