They landed at the airport and were immediately picked up by Aaron's personal driver. It was midnight when they arrived at his house. The house is still the same, as beautiful as Laurel's memory used to when she first came here at the party, the party that resulted in an incident that led her and Aaron finally unite into marriage.
Maybe now Laurel would be grateful for the incident, because now she found happiness with her husband. She suddenly remembered something and looked at Aaron seriously.
“That night, the night after our wedding, was our first night. I know because it hurts.”
Aaron smiled gently. “I also know because I have to break through a strong barrier before I can enter you.”
Laurel's cheeks reddened at his casually vulgar words. “If that night is our first night, it means that at that time we didn't do anything here.”
Aaron shrugged. “I don't remember, but maybe we just got drunk and fell asleep in my bed.”
“But then we were completely naked!” Laurel frowned.
Aaron laughed. “Maybe we made out a little and then fell asleep.”
His memory drifted to Laurel who left him sleeping when he was fondling her that time. Well, at least Aaron was not completely lying.
“Even though that incident was the reason we got married.” Laurel sighed. “If you knew we didn't do anything, you could not marry me.”
“Hey, I don't care what the reason is that pushed me to marry you! If it weren't for the incident that night, I think I would have found a way to marry you in the end.” Aaron held Laurel in his arms. “And I'm always grateful that I married you. You are the source of my happiness, Laurel.”
Laurel returned Aaron's hug with a laugh. “You too, Aaron. I love you and I trust you with all my heart.”
What will Laurel do if Aaron suddenly destroys the trust she has given him?
Aaron awoke in the middle of the night, from a nightmare that haunted him. The dream came again; the accidents, then the girl who kicked Aaron out of her house with hateful eyes, hatred that pierced and still makes Aaron's heartthrob to this day. Then the dream continues with him losing Laurel. Laurel just disappeared and he could not find her anywhere, driving her crazy, making it look like he just wanted to die.
His breath hitched slightly and his chest tightened with the terrifying dream. He gently glanced at the woman who lay sweetly next to him.
His Laurel, his wife, who loves him and believes in him... yes, believes in him. Laurel trusts him deeply, without prejudice. The woman put her heart in Aaron's hands, surrendered and trusted him. Meanwhile, Aaron builds a marriage based on lies.
His love for Laurel is not a lie; he really loves her, sincerely. Laurel was his deepest source of happiness, and so he wanted to be the same for her. However, everything, apart from that love, is a lie; a lie that intertwines and forms a tight wall that seals the secrets of their past: the secret, the secret about her father's death.
Aaron can never run from his past, he is the killer of Laurel's father. How would he explain it to his wife, if one day she found out the truth? Will the love they have built at this time be shattered?
Aaron did not want to lose Laurel; he would die if that happened.

“I'm back!”
Laurel called Alin immediately the next morning. She was alone because Aaron was working on his project. Aamber apparently was not lying about that one.
Alin squealed happily on the other side. “You have to come here!”
“Alright, alright, I'll come over to your house this afternoon!” Laurel laughed.
She had already told Aaron that she would visit Alin this afternoon and Aaron allowed her, on the condition that she had to be picked up by her private driver. Laurel does not mind that condition.
“So, that's the story.” Laurel completes her story, from start to finish, from that party night incident to their falling in love.
Laurel was holding Alin's little baby daughter. She cradled the beautiful sleeping baby girl with great affection.
“Wow, an unexpected but very beautiful story!” Alin's eyes lit up. “From your story, I'm sure Mr White loves you very much, Laurel. I have been his assistant for so long, but he is so cold, so reserved. I used to imagine that he would be a loner for the rest of his life. I didn't expect him to marry and fall in love with someone!”
Alin smiled softly. “I'm so happy for both of you.”
Laurel smiled too. “Well, I didn't expect it to end like this myself but, yes, I'm happy.”
Her smile widened, making Alin laugh. However, suddenly Alin's expression turned serious. “You didn't find out about Brian recently?”
Laurel shook her head. “What for? After the incident he had with the woman named Lyn in the room that time, I had forgotten about him. He's not worth thinking about.”
“You said her name was Lyn?” Alin interrupted quickly; apparently, Laurel forgot to mention that information in the story earlier.
Laurel nodded her head. “Yeah, Brian calls her Lyn.”
“Lyn is Aaron's best friend; she's Aamber's best friend and Aaron's best friend too. However, from what I know, Brian had once chased Lyn and the woman had turned him down. Lyn herself said firmly that Brian wasn't her type and she wasn't interested in him at all.”
Laurel was pensive. From her memories of that time, remembering how passionately Lyn was fondling Brian in the room, it didn't seem that Lyn was not interested in Brian. The woman even looked excited and seductive.
“Maybe they were both very drunk that night.”
“Maybe,” Alin replied. “But Brian has changed since you left. He was no longer cheerful, and instead became grumpy and gloomy. Last, I heard he was always looking for information about you; when are you coming back and so on. He even called my landline.”
“Is it true?”
Laurel frowned. Is it true that Brian still has not given up on her? How could it be? However, after examining it, she realized that it was possible. Her parting with Brian at that time ended badly and was full of hostility. He tried to explain and she would not listen, then he started accusing Aaron and all.
Maybe now Brian does not accept it because Laurel married Aaron in the end. Maybe if there is a chance to meet later, she can talk to Brian from heart to heart, clear up the misunderstanding between them and forgive each other.
Yeah, maybe she will find a chance to meet Brian.

The boss is back!
That is what the officials said earlier. At first, Brian still does not believe it, but then Aaron shows up and lets some of the employees greet him, congratulating him on his marriage to Laurel.
Brian saw the man laughing kindly; something he had never seen before and promised a wedding feast for his employees. Brian snorted in annoyance. The man had arranged everything as if he were God.
Brian has done a thorough investigation and he found that all aspects of Laurel's life after the death of her parents are connected with Aaron.
Aaron arranged everything for Laurel. Starting from educational facilities, places to live and even work. He directed Laurel here, into his company like a helpless prey ready to be devoured for his own pleasure.
Brian held the anger in his chest. He would not let Aaron succeed. Laurel must know that she has been fooled and used by the man who killed her father. Aaron had it all planned. He framed Brian and then, somehow, he framed Laurel into marrying him.
He was the perfect man and seemed so sure that he could get anything he wanted. Brian sneered.
However, this time, he was going to make sure Aaron received his reward. He just had to find out where Laurel was and arrange a meeting with her. After that, he would throw away all the evidence he had about the dark secret that Aaron had been keeping all along. Laurel's eyes would open and Brian would offer to be her crutch. Laurel would be back in his arms again, Brian was sure of it. Then Aaron, that man's whole plan will be ruined.
Brian smiled evilly, imagining his whole plan. Aaron would regret messing with him.
