The children and I arrived safely. I have been very busy since my return, because I had so many unprocessed files and appointments to honour. My sweet husband came home last night. We had a wonderful night, catching up on lost time away from each other. Larry and I never leave each other. With him, it is always the beginnings of marriage. Regarding his daughter, his parents are picking her up today. In the end, I'm happy that we can take her as our wing. I think she will be much better off with us. I love taking care of children, and Larry adores them. She will be much better with us. I know the beginnings will be a little difficult, given the trauma in which she lives. Parents make many mistakes in raising their children. A child needs tenderness, a lot of affection and above all, the presence of both parents by his side. A child who does not feel that his parents love him will be an unbalanced part of society and can easily take a path that is not good. Even if he misbehaves or is deemed stubborn, there are particular approaches to take in how to rebuke him. Because a badly done reproach, even if it is appropriate, can be judged by the latter as a lack of love and rejection on the part of his parents. I've been thinking a lot about Paula lately. I wondered about drifts in life, and how she came to become so demonic. But, I ended up realizing that Paula always received criticism from all sides, when she reached puberty. It's true that she was rebellious and stubborn, but if the parents had known how to handle the situation wisely, perhaps she wouldn't have taken the tortuous path she walks on now. She always resented me for being my father's favorite. My father didn't hide it from anyone, that I was better than his other children. If he did, it was in order to encourage them to do the same as me. But he had been wrong, because in the end, he only created a monster like Paula. It was on the strength of this experience that I decided not to repeat the same experiences as my father. Indeed, the role of a mother in the education of her children is very crucial. I think my mother succeeded in this area. Because she was able to make up for my father's shortcomings by instilling human values in us. Thanks to her, my brothers, Tania and I became great people with good morals in society. I will therefore do my best to take care of my children, as well as Larry's daughter. I will do my best to instill good moral values in them, so that they will be good people in the future. I am aware that it is not easy to reconcile my life as a woman at the head of a great empire, and that of wife and mother. But I know that with the will and the determination, I will succeed. For a first time, I intend to activate my relations with the embassy of the United States. Indeed, because my company is in the export business, I have close relations with the embassies of Western countries, established in my country. From Monday, therefore, I will contact him to make an appointment. I intend to speak with him one-on-one, as this is an issue close to my heart. I would like to finish with the visa formalities very quickly. I intend to register Lara here in Douala. There are schools that offer programs modeled on the American educational system. She will therefore have no difficulty adapting here.
