An angry dad

Martina pov
We finally got to my mother's village which is about 2 hours from Edea. The journey took place in dead silence. My mother has avoided my gaze during the whole travel. What's more, sadness could be read on her face from miles away. Despite that, we finally arrived in the village and my grandmother has welcome us kindly. My brothers and my sister also came to welcome us very happy. But my sister seems calmer. She might have guessed something was wrong. Once we're alone in the room, she finally asks me
"What is happening Martina ? Why are you and mom here? It wasn't in your plans. What caused you come in the village, and especially with your luggages?"
"Everything is okay Tania, don't worry!" I answered to her, trying to reassure and not to make her worry."
"Martina, tell me the truth, I'm not a child. I can understand, whatever is going on."
My sister is not fooled, on the contrary, she has a very sharp mind for her young age. I knew she was suspecting that something bad had happened and she would do anything to know it, unless I tell her the truth now, so that she should not bother me later. So, I made on my mind to reveal her everything.
"Dad kicked us out, Tania", I said in tears.
"What! You're kidding me right?" She shouted incredulous.
"No Martina! This topic is too delicate for me to joke on."
"But you're the last person dad could think of to cast away from his house! Everyone knows he can to it to anybody, except to you, his favourite!" Tania replied looking lost.
"But that's what happened. He refused to believe me and asked me never set my feet in his compound anymore."
"What happened ?" She questioned me curiously.
I narrate to Tania what happened yesterday and she listens to me religiously. At the end of my recital, she told me
"Someone set a trap for you. I would put my hand on fire that it's not Steve behind this. Why would Steve act like this? Even if I don't like him too much, I can assure you that he cannot go to such extremes. His attitude is suspicious."
"I don't care whether he's the one behind this act or not, Tania. I don't want to hear from him anymore. Who so ever was the instigator of this trap, it does not make him less guilty in my eyes. To hell with him!" I replied with tears in my eyes.
"Tell me, who alerted the parents?"
"I don't know."
"And did you not notice anything suspicious at home before this incident?" She asks me without me understanding where she is going to with her theory .
"Nothing Tania, everything was normal. What is your point?" I say annoyed.
"You have to tell me if no one has acted strangely in the last few days. I'm sure someone close to you is involved in this matter." Tania retorted, laying on me me a convinced gaze.
"They were all rather happy for my success. Even Paula invited me to the restaurant to..."
"What have you just said ? Tania interrupts me, looking serious. I don't understand her alert, however, I answer to her question.
"I told you that...
"Since when does she invite you?" She said interrupting me once more." Paula has already threatened you several times and everyone knows that she hates you. Do you really think that she could've changed overnight?" Tania keeps telling me with a suspicious tone.
"She told me that she wanted to redeem herself and that we are sisters. She can't hate me."
Tania claps her hands ironically, then she throws me
"I thought you were naive, but now it's stupidity already. Let me make you know that Paula just wanted to cover her tracks so you wouldn't suspect her after."
"What are you insinuating?" I questioned her incredulously.
"Paula is in on this story. If you ask me, she even played a big part in it. I wouldn't be surprised if it was she who warned our parents."
"You have the most overflowing imagination, Tania. ow can my own sister do this to me? Do you imagine the seriousness of your accusation against our sister? She can't be behind my rape all the same!" I retorted, refusing to let my story even think about it. However, Tania does not seem in accord with me. She finally runs up with our discussion and tell me
"I said what I had to say. The rest is up to you." Said Tania raising both hands to the sky. "Good night!" She wishes me before she turns me get back.
"Good night Tania !" I replied
I had no sleep because I spent the night thinking about the last events and what Tania told me. However, I was able to fall asleep at dawn. Very early in the morning, Tania goes out to go to the field with the whole house. My grandmother gave me a week to cover. I spend the morning crying it hurts so much. Why is all this happening to me? How overnight did all my happiness crumble? I had just had my baccalaureate, a life at the University awaited me. My father was proud of me. Today, my future seems hazy. I end up sleeping and I wake up at noon. I strive and prepare the meal for those who have gone to the fields. They come home very tired. After washing and having eaten, I leave to find my mother in the room she occupies with Grandmother. I find her sitting alone on the bed.
"Come in, sit down." She said, pointing with her index to the place next to her on the bed. I comply. We remain in silence for more than two minutes. I break this silence
"Mom..." I say in murmure. She looks up at me then I continue. "Do you think I did this?" She looks at me for a long time in silence while tears flood her cheeks. I also burst on crying. My mother takes me in her arms. We stay entwined for a long time and then she pulls away from me delicately.
"I know you can't have done that my little Martina." She told me tenderly. Hearing that relieves me immensely.
"Thank you Mom." I say in tears. "But why did they do that to me? Why don't I remember anything? What was their purpose?"
"Shut up!" My mother replies to me. "Look my little mom, men are mean by nature. As for you, God gave you a good heart that loves everyone and trusts. MYour heart is pure and big. That's why people are so towards you. Keep this loving-kindness no matter what happens Ma'anem. Okay ?"
"Ok mom." I replied, shaking my head.
"I'm sorry I couldn't protect you against your predators !" She told me, looking sorry.
I stayed a little longer with my mother, then I took leave of her for my room. I manage to sleep faster today. Life in the village continues and monotony sets in. I was able to recover quickly thanks to the infusions and drinks that mu grandmother made me take. I left like this with the rest of the family in the fields. It was very painful because we weren't used to this lifestyle. Holidays passed very quickly and the start of the school year was already there.
"It's already back to school and dad hasn't even bothered to contact us since we got here. What are we going to do for our studies?" I asked my mother who was in our room.
"I don't know Ma'anem. I've been worried ever since." Answers my mother with a very sad face.
"Why don't we call him?" Asks Tania who is also there.
"Hummmmm, I don't think that's a good idea." Says my mother.
"I'll call him." Tania insists.
"Ok, if you want do it. He's your father after all." Replies my mother.
At the same time, Tania calls dad and puts on the loudspeaker.
"Hello !"
"Hello dad, how..."
"I picked up the call in order to tell you never to call me again. Stretch the message to your whore mom and your prostitute sister. Continue your brothelerie there in the village. I don't want to see you in my house in anymore!" He hangs up without Tania being able to say anything more. We all listened to the conversation and no one dared to comment anything anymore. My mother retired to her room.
