Chapter 27

The days were passing and Felicity still has said nothing. Raymond finds it hard to focus whenever he was away from the house. He keeps on thinking on what to do to liven her up but yet, he has got nothing.
A knock resounded on his door and Morris entered, "sir, Mr. Harrison is here."
"Did I scheduled a meeting with him?"
"Yes sir. The appointment had been fixed since last month."
"Find a way to tell him that I can't meet him now."
"But sir, he is..."
"Morris, I can't meet anybody today, don't you get it?"
"Yes sir. I will talk to him" he left the office.
Raymond heaved a deep sigh and wiped his face with his palms. He can't believe he put Felicity in her condition, the thought alone was killing him.
Morris entered his office again "I managed to explain to him sir, he said you should call him when you are free."
Raymond only nodded.
"Sir, I have been thinking, what if you try taking her to the places she love" that got him Raymond's attention "you see, she loves the amusement park, why don't you take her there?"
Raymond saw reasons in that, he contemplated on the advantage and decided to give it a try.
That same day, he went home with a slight hope that his news will awaken the fun in her. He got to her room to see Katherine, who has been staying with them since the day they returned from the hospital and Mercy who was carrying a plate of sliced cake, he looked at Felicity and smiled "what do you say Felicity, we are going to the amusement park," Raymond announced with a smile. His gaze fixed on Felicity to take in her every action while paying no mind to Katherine and Mercy's shocked glances at him. He didn't miss to see the light that glinted in her eyes, although she didn't jump up as usual but that glint proves he was getting there. A for effort to him, he thought "we can get an ice cream too. Oh and guess what? I called Bob and our couple outfits is almost ready" he smiled.
Felicity stared at him silently, Raymond hates to admit it but his palms were turning sweaty as he waited for her to react. He knew Katherine and Mercy were as nervous too and also he can sense Katherine's shock when he mentioned the couple outfits but he don't care now, he just wants to right his wrong by bringing back the cheerful, noisy and childish Felicity who he seems to have grown really attached too. Although he hates that thought but now is definitely not the time to think about it.
A faint smile appeared on Felicity's lips, the first reaction she has shown for the past one month she came back from the hospital and Raymond found himself over the moon at that little sign. Guess it's time to give Morris a raise "do you like it?" He asked not knowing why he even asked that but he just wants to push his luck on getting her to talk.
Felicity nodded before frowning again.
"What is the problem?" He rushed to ask, not willing to risk that smile on her face. For crying out loud it's been four weeks, dammit, one good month that she hasn't smile, that he hasn't seen her smile, how can he lose that now? No matter how little or faint it is, he can't lose it.
Felicity said nothing but after five seconds that felt like five hours to them, she said "but where are we going to wear the outfit to?"
Raymond almost jumped like a school boy, he racked his memory thinking if there is any party he had been invited to of recent but there was none. Screw it, he will throw a party then "not really but we can arrange one, what do you say?"
Katherine was already crying out of happiness, she had thought it was going to take her six months to talk again but thank goodness, there is Raymond this time. Even though she didn't want to admit it, she knew he was the reason she spoke right now, "why worry about a party? Next month is your birthday my darling."
"Oh yes it's true, I almost forgot" Mercy clapped her hands excitedly "we should just throw you a birthday party instead."
"But, I have never celebrated my birthday" she looked solemn.
"Well, that is about to change" Raymond interjected "we will throw a party this time and guess what?" When he got her interest, he said "it will be a princess party" he smiled.
They all watched as Felicity's eyes widened in excitement, before they knew it, she threw off her bedcovers and jumped out of the bed and straight into Raymond's arms "a princess party!" She screamed excitedly.
Raymond hugged her, not believing how much he had missed her hug. Her petite figure against his big body, she looked so small in his embrace and it reminded him of how much he needs to protect her. Her happy scream was like music in his ears and it soothed his aching soul. He hugged her so tightly, not wanting to let go "yes, a princess party for my princess Felicity."
She giggled when she heard him "it's been so long I heard that" she mumbled in his arms.
Raymond flashed Katherine a questioning look and she sniffed and dabbed at her eyes "it's what her father used to call her" she explained and he made an 'ah' sound, still holding onto her.
"Little Ray?" She called
"Mm?" He answered, realizing just how much he had missed her calling him that. He had hated that nickname since he was a teenager but somehow, right now, he felt so blissful hearing her call him that. Oh God, how deep has he grown attached to this girl? He wondered.
"Are we still going to the amusement park?" She asked unsure and he chuckled.
"Of course, I will be waiting for you downstairs while you get ready" he released her then, his eyes take on her slowly warming up face and he was driven by a strong force to kiss her but he couldn't and especially not with Katherine around. Seeming to remember that, he cleared his throat and dropped his hand from her, he can't believe how he let his emotions get the best of him. What will Katherine be thinking now with the way he acted? She can't be thinking he has attraction for Felicity right? After all, he don't or rather, he wish he doesn't "come down when you are ready" he turned to leave but not without glancing at Katherine.
He released a relief sigh when he saw she was staring at Felicity in a daydreaming manner which means she hasn't thought much on how he acted just now, which means he is safe, for the time being. He left the room with one thought in mind, now Felicity has started talking again, he has to work on getting rid of his attraction to her. For crying out loud, he still has seven more months to live with her. He has to take care of this before it becomes too late.
Felicity met him downstairs later and they left for the amusement park. Just to make her more happy, Raymond degraded himself to ride the rollercoaster and ferris with her, or so he told himself. But there is no way he is going to admit to enjoying going on those rides with her, for God's sake, it's against his pride!
He bought her an ice cream as promised, and as she scooped one spoon after another in to her mouth, he sat opposite her to study her.
Just what is it about her that always draw him to her? She is beautiful, yes, but not that beautiful, he had seen many beautiful women.
She has nice curves that always drives him insane when he think about her body. Okay, she has an A for a sexy body but that shouldn't be the reason he is attracted to her right?
For freaking sake, he had a fling with Natasha, the top model in New York City! Natasha is known to be the best of the best, she is loaded. She has nice figure, has full boobs and big booty, so it's not his first time of seeing a woman with nice curves. But why is it that Natasha's body only turns him on for sexual pleasures and once he gets that, he doesn't want to see her till he grows needy of her again?
