[ THIRD PERSON'S POV ]

To Veronica's surprise, Blake didn't touch her that night. He respected her choice and let go of her afterwards. But he had one request. Veronica had to spend her night sleeping inside his arms. He held her close in his embrace and slept like a little baby. She understood that alcohol had effected his emotions terribly. But it felt cute when he admitted that he was jealous.

With a contented heart, she fell asleep in his arms. Unlike other times, she woke up late the following day and received a tones of messages in her phone.

Entering into her chat, she saw that her video of waking in one heel was trending again. People had different thoughts on her but at the end, they highly appreciated her professionalism.

For the first time, she was so happy after days of misery!

She hurried downstairs to inform Blake about the news but found him already talking on the phone. It was Herman who called him nagging,
" Blake! I don't want to hear anything. You must attend today or else I am going to strike in front of your home."
Blake laughed softly at his friend's little threat. He pretended to be confused and replied after a while helplessly,
" Okay, Herman. I will go."

Herman spoke again clearing his throat awkwardly,
" And bring Veronica with you. Aliyah wants to meet her. She has seen her walk yesterday. Her video from the fashion show is all over the news."

Blake's eyes shone up in proud for his girl and agreed quite fast,
" Okay, we will be going together, happy?"

Herman teased further blowing a whistle,
" Oh ho! You are already so clingy! I can smell that your relationship has improved a lot. Have you guys done with the final phase?"

Blake cursed something angrily and ended up the call. Herman was too noisey sometimes. He called to invite Blake and Veronica in his engagement party. Herman was going to settle down himself with a girl named Aliyah.

Blake rubbed his sore temples and turned around to face Veronica who was awkwardly standing on the stairs to give him privacy. Blake smiled at her and waved to come over,
" Come down now! I was in call with my friend. Why did you stop?"

Veronica spoke jumping like a happy butterfly,
" Have you seen the news? My video is trending again. I have finally managed to get back my position. I can't believe it."

Blake gave her a wide smile and commented with a glint in his ocean eyes,
" You deserve it."

He paused before resuming again in a drained voice,
" And..I am sorry for everything.."

Veronica waved her hands discreetly. She grinned before teasing him with a wink,
" But It was worth as the great president, Blake Davidson admitted that he was jealous."

Blake was stunned before flushing red in embarrassement. He acted too childishly last night. Watching her in Asher's embrace had made him crazy. Actually he went to find Veronica after the show ended and saw Asher with red roses. From his thirty-one years of spending in this world, he could feel that Asher was going to propose Veronica tonight. Thus he followed them all the way around and saw them eating together. He angrily went back to his house and told himself that Veronica had every right to fall in love with Asher. He was with wife and an unborn child.

What made him thinking that Veronica deserved him? But feelings are always unpredictable. When he saw them embracing at the entrance of his mansion, his jealousy grew stronger.

He looked up Veronica threateningly and groaned in a fake angry voice,
" Veronica.. you.. just wait.."

He spoke before started chasing her. Her giggles bunched against the walls as they both ran from here to there like two toddlers.

Soon evening fell down in C Nation. City lights were on and the clouds over sky appeared little gloomy. Rain threatened to fall down as cold breeze blew through the trees. It was the pre reminder of having rainfall.

After a lot of silly coaxing, he managed to persuade Veronica in joining the party with him. No doubt, Herman would send him back to bring Veronica again. Though Asher had asked them to stay in house, they didn't care much since nothing happened meantime.

The party was held in Herman's private mansion. It was quite far from their own house and Blake drove the car personally to arrive there. Veronica and Blake had matching outfit co incidently. She had worn a black backless gown with silver thread work onto it. Surprisingly, Blake had worn black retro suite with a silver bruce on it. They appeared like a match made in heaven.

Blake and Veronica joined the party just on time. The mansion was strictly guarded from other parties and was available for few close guests only. People started giving them suspicious glances as they stepped in and went to congratulate the couple.

Aliyah was a beautiful girl with long blonde hairs. She couldn't whinnying herself after meeting Veronica and took several selfies until her battery turned low.

Herman shook his head helplessly at his fiancee and went over to Blake who was sipping his after dinner wine. Herman mocked shooting Veronica a glance,
" She is beautiful, Blake. You are damn lucky man. Both of your wives are beautiful, sigh.."

Blake rolled his eyes and replied dropping his hand drunken glass,
" You thought too much. We aren't dating officially still."

Herman chuckled before taking another sip and responded confidently,
" Come on,man. I can see that you have fallen in love with her. Just admit it or else someone else will snatch her away from you. Beauty is dangerous, you know."

Blake's grip around the glass stiffened a little. Indeed Asher was already there to replace him anytime. His heart ached into a tight knot and gave him panic attacks.

Background music " Love me like you do" started playing at that moment. The host invited everyone to join in couple dance excitedly. Something formed in his heart after Herman's words.

Blake put down the glass and started walking towards Veronica. Without hearing her opinion, he dragged her on the dance floor and asked demandingly,
" Let's dance okay?"
Veronica rolled her eyes before replied,
" You just scared me. I thought that something had happened. Blake, you could have just asked me."

Blake didn't answer and grinned at her lovingly. The tune was slow as they both started to match their stops rythematically. Blake couldn't help but touching her sensually every now and then sneakily.Veronica glared at him warningly. Blake teased twisting his lips laughingly,
" Let's play a game! If you mismatch the step, you will kiss me twice today. If I fail, I will kiss you twice today, deal?"
Veronica growled pinching on his waist,
" Deal of your ass! "

But their little interaction didn't miss the public eye in that party since she was the most controversial model of B Nation and was recently in trend. They started giving their own opinions without knowing their story as usual.

By the time, the dance was ended, rain had started pouring down from the sky heavily. Veronica came after to fetch a drink from the food corner. Unfortunately she overheard a conversation between two women standing behind her,
" I can't believe that this two are together."
" Are you sure?"
" Yes! Just look at the eyes when they look at each others."
" Such a shameless woman! After killing her sister, she actually started seducing her brother-in-law."
" Woman from industries are just alike. For fame and money, she has actually become the mistress of her own brother-in-law. What a unscrupulous woman! "
" Yeah! You saw, they had even matching outfit. She must be working hard to keep Blake in her palm."

Veronica squeezed her eyes shut in rage and pain. That's how people started looking onto her now. They were right!

She had actually become a kept mistress of her own brother-in-law!

She said nothing and ran out of the party inside the rain without informing Blake!
