Cont. cerberus p.o.v

I blinked rapidly, trying to find out what exactly was happening.
“are you good?” the girl from earlier… Mene said while hovering above me while I laid on what I assumed was the bed.
“i..” a grunt escaped my lips while I tried my best to stand up. “I am fine” I put a bit of space between the two of us, trying to get as far away from her as much as possible.
“does this usually happen? Should I be worried? Should I tell …”


“there is no need” I cut her off. “I just need some space” I put a little more distance between us.
She did like she did not hear me, touching my forehead “you are not burning up” she smiled, looking at me with those eyes. They were bright, full of life and…
“I should be going, my brother would be back and I cannot not be found at home” she said, moving closer to me and filling me up with her scent. “take care I would find another time to come see Valerie, it is important that I do” she moved even closer, connecting her lips to my cheeks

“fpofor” I tried to make comprehensive words but the words came out stupid.
“bye” she smiled at me, leaving me stunned.

Hades’ p.o.v
“we need to act quick, the mortal is gaining her memories and soon enough, Hades would follow” Zeus said, looking desperate.
I stood in the shadows, masking my powers to make sure that no one knew that I was amonsgst them.
“I suggest we kill her. We have done this before, and it is only going to bring the same result. No matter what we do they would find a way back together”
“we can’t do that!!” one of them said.
“If it comes back to it, we have it” another one said.
“I thought persephone was meant to be falsely linked to him” I felt my blood freeze
“explain yourself” Hera said, looking at Persephone with cold calculating eyes.
“i.. I am sorry but…”
“you had one job, keep your relationship with that drunk a secret till we could successfully separate hades from that mortal and you could not even do that!!” she yelled causing the ground to shake.
“what?” a cold voice ripped through the air. It took me a while to realise that the voice was indeed mine. I had by now, unmasked myself to be seen by everyone.
“Hades!, those were not meant for your ears” she no longer looked calm or calculating, she looked like a kid being caught doing something bad.
“of course. So you knew” I looked at each and everyone whom I thought were my siblings, or at least related to In some ways. “you all knew”
“hades, lets not be dramatic now, we are doing this for your own goo-“
“please spare me!” I cut her off, not even wanting to hear her for another second. “you watched me, you all watched me make a fool out of myself, begging her to love, to stop cheating on me to choose me for once!” I felt a stabbing pain in my chest, looking from my brother to Hera and to the rest…
“I begged you” my gaze went to Persephone “I gave you everything I could, hoping you would stay and it was all fake. “you tempered with my emotions, tying me down to someone who did not even love me!!”
“I was trying to help you!! I thought by tying your affections to someone else, I could change fate, and it was going well till that mortal showed up!!” she yelled, looking like she wanted to blow up in anger but thought better of it.
“you chose fate over, your own brother” I looked at her with so much bitterness as my mind flashed back to the day that I begged Persephone to tell me the truth she if was seeing other people and she accused me of not loving her and projecting what I was doing on her, and then having the guts to kiss me right on the lips as she reeked of a mortal.
A foolishness on my part for tolerating it.
“fuck you, and fuck the fates. I said making it out of the place as fast as possible. “if anyone tries to come to disturb my peace, I would not take it easy with anybody”
I barely got the words out as I carried myself out of there barely surviving the embarrassment.
“FUCK!!!” I yelled as I dropped to my knees immediately I reached the underworld.
The embarrassment flooded my skin as another memory hit me.
*memory of Persephone cheating*
“hey love” I woke up in the morning, surprised to see her at the breakfast table. She smiled at me with wide eyes.
“her babe” she said, baring her neck for me to kiss
“I did not think I would meet you here” I said, taking my sit next to her.
“I missed you, thought I could come visit. You are attending the banquet tonight, yes?” she asked, looking at me with wide eyes.
“of course” I smiled at her.

She came late’ I thought as I downed another glass of wine as I waited for my ‘wife’ Persephone to make her appearance.
“she Is here” someone whispered in my ear although by now, I was wasted. I looked up to see her gorgeous, for a moment but it all came clashing down when I saw her tongue tied with another man
The shock was overbearing that I actually passed out.
“hey love, “ she leaned over, kissing me on the cheek as I woke up the next morning.
“what are you doing here” I said, looking at her.
“why would I not be here?” she said, looking at me with confusion written over her face.
“you have some nerve” I scoffed, trying to sit up, despite the hangover “kissing some stupid person and acting like…”
“woah, I did not even attend the event! How could you accuse me of such!!” She said, the anger clearly written on her face
“what? But”
“did you have wine?” she sighed “Dionysus is quite good. I hear his wine causes illusions too. It is the first sign to know you’re out of it
She said brushing my hair

I laughed a bitter laugh at the memory. She really was the queen in gas lighting
‘she and the rest’ I thought as I remember how the other gods also denied seeing Persephone at the event.
“it all makes sense now” I sat on the closest chair, burying my head in my hands as I laughed.
