All the elemental power vanished. Devon clutched his chest; the knife mark was glowing black. Shiuku's body trembled in extreme anger. He stabbed a finger in Devon's direction. Even if I had a choice, I would have taken this deal. Shiuku strode over to the bed using his own wind to give me a small slice on the top of my hand. Again, his blood dripped into mine. We had done it. It may have been a small victory, but we bested Shiuku.
Then I took note of Shiuku's last words. Not the mistress crap, but his last taunt rang in my ears. 'This was fun, I'm glad he told me about those letters?' Who? The only people who knew were me, Devon, Kaibec and Sekai. Shiuku had no idea Kaibec was a player and assumed Sekai was completely loyal to him. Devon and I must have been wondering the same thing. At once we both jumped to our feet. We were bolting out the door roaring, "JACOB!"
