Chapter 9: A Good Day
David POV
Today started out the same as always. I went jogging. Then I went to the computer company to check on production. When I got there, there was some paperwork that needed to be done, so I went a head and entered it into the computer. I was finishing when one of the boys came up from the computer lab and said that there was a problem with one of the machines that builds the computer. So I went down to see what I could do to help.
It was a simple fix. The bolt had been loose, and the arm wasn't working correctly. I fixed it with a screwdriver. It got everything back on track. I then went back up to my office. It was already 8:30. I had half an hour before my class started for the little guys and gals at the dojo.
The computer company was 5 stories high. Each floor served a purpose. The first floor was the offices. The second floor was where we developed the software. It had over a hundred computers. The third floor was for meetings. The fourth floor was where they tested the products. The fifth floor had some apartments if there was ever a need to use them.
The basement was where the computer lab was. That's where we installed the software and assembled the computers. That was also where corporations would order hundreds of computers from and come pick them up with trucks. We sell thousands upon thousands of computers. I waas a billionaire. But I did not live like one. I was 35 and single. I have dated a few girls. But nothing ever turned serious because once they found out about my money they just wanted to use me for it.
I did have an expensive car and a nice house though. I own a number of dojo. I also made money off books by sitting up street fights. We all had to have our own devices to make money. None of my students ever fought in any of the street fights though. Because I did not want them to get hurt. I had been running street fights before any of my computer companies ever started.
It was my father that had disagreed with the way I was making money. So I decided to have legit businesses and at least one that wasn't so legit. You never knew what would happen to the economy. I still had to have a way to make money. I was deep in thought when my secretary knocked on the door.
"Sir, we have a new order that just came in for 200 computers," she stated.
" Do we have enough built?" I asked.
" yes" she responded.
I was surprised we had that many ready to send out. I signed the invoice. The total of computers came to about $300,000 dollars. Which was a good chunk of change. I was pleased about that. I looked down at my watch. Its 15 minutes until 9. I was hoping to be able to go home and take a shower. But it looks like I'm changing at the dojo. Which is fine. It had a shower and I always had an extra gi there.
I had an extra set of clothes at every dojo. I never knew when I needed them. I quickly made my way to the garage which had all my employees' cars and my jaguar. I got in it and drove directly to the dojo on the block by that girl's house. I saw her walking somewhere. She had her headphones on. She looked like she was on a mission.
Ever since I "rescued" her I can't stop thinking about her. When she looked at me, I could tell she had some type of feelings for me. I was older than her. But she did not strike me as a virgin. Which was strange considering she couldn't be more than 18 or 20. But I could be wrong.
Her eyes were beautiful. They were deep blue. Almost the color of blue sapphires. Her hair was dark black. Her skin was very tanned. I could tell she probably spent a lot of time outside before coming here. It was almost fall here, so summer was coming to a close. The days were still pretty warm, but the nights were getting colder. So it was a good thing I loved fall.
She weighed maybe 110 -115 pounds. She was tiny. Anyone could easily throw her around. I would like to throw her around. Like throw her on my bed and do things with her. I shouldn't be thinking of such things when it came to her. She was of legal age to make her own decisions. So it wasn't like her mother could get me in trouble. There I go thinking about her that way.
By the time I got to the dojo, the little kids were just getting there. I was glad that I could get my mind off her. They all bowed to me as was common practice done out of respect. That's the first thing they learned was to show their teacher respect. The second was to bow before they got on the mats. We went through each form. I had my no belts up front, then my white belts second, then my yellow belts and then my orange belts and so forth.
I was helping Jenni with one of the white belts correct her form when she walked into my dojo.
" Hey David," she stated.
" Hey" I stated.
"I'm here to sign up for classes," she stated.
She handed me $300 for the first three months. I went into the office and got her a receipt. I grabbed a book with the form's in it so she could study it. I always encouraged my students to attempt the forms on their own. I also grabbed a copy of my handbook that I had made up with the rules and expectations of my class.
" Good you will be in my adult beginner class," I stated.
"Here is the paperwork and book," I stated.
"You will also need to purchase a gi." I stated.
" I already have one," she stated.
She was prepared. I like that. Not very many people are prepared for things in life. She left, and I finished my classes until this evening. Those were for my more advanced students. My beginner's classes were Mondays, Wednesday, and Thursdays in the evenings. I was looking forward to teaching her. I knew she must be determined to get into the classes. Maybe it is because of what happened, or maybe she just wanted to learn.
