Chapter 73 Get Out
John walked slowly inside, trying to keep himself from hitting them. He wanted more than anything to hit them all. All three of them had worked hard to ruin his life and he was holding onto his temper by a thread. He sat down and leaned forward putting his hands on his knees. He rubbed his eyes with his hands hoping that he had the strength not to act on the anger burning inside him
“Why are you here? Was I not clear when I told you to stay away from me and Anna?”
Melissa sniffed, “I knew you were not serious. So I let myself in.”
“Mother, you are not listening! Get it through your privileged head, I want you to stay out of my life. You have probably ruined any chance I have with Anna.”
Melissa looked at him in shock. “You were serious? I thought you were just angry, I know how you get.”
“Let me set you straight once and for all. I love Anna, I would give up anything and anyone for her. You three harpies are like a plague on my life. I want you out of it.”
“John, why are you being so dramatic? It’s not like we did anything that can’t be undone.” May said with a sigh as if she were bored.
“You freaking Bit&^! You might have ruined everything with your meddling.” John jumped up and strode up to his sister. He put his arms on either side of her chair and leaned in close. “I swear to God if you ruined things with Anna I will…”
“You will what?” May said facing him with an ugly look on her face “nothing, you’ll do nothing because deep down you know she is not right for you. You should be glad to get rid of her.”
John felt his control snap. He reached down and grabbed his sister and yanked her out of her seat. He thrust her toward the door and threw her purse at her. May scrambled to catch it looking at him with disbelieving eyes. “What is your problem? That is a $500 dollar purse?”
“Get out!” John roared “I don’t want to see your snobby A&* again.”
“How dare you talk to me like that?” She yelled back stuffing the coach purse under her arm.
“Easy, watch me do it again. Get out!”
“I’m not letting you treat me this way.”
“I don’t want you here!” He said again as he pushed her to the door.
“John I don’t know what’s wrong with you.” Melissa said snidely as she stood and faced John “Now I will have to go after her and smooth things over.”
“You don’t get it! I don’t care if you smooth things over with her, I never want to see either of you again.”
“John.,” Melissa said in confusion as she looked at him in shock.
“Get out!”
Melissa turned to May and hustled her outside, “You will be sorry I promise when your little trailer trash lets you down.”
John walked to the door and slammed it shut. He breathed deep and laid his head against the door. He hoped they stayed away because the police came very close to coming to the house for another reason altogether.
“John are you alright?” Isabel asked as she came up behind him and put her hands on his back, rubbing gently.
John jumped and pushed her back. “What the hell are you still doing here? What would make you think I want you touching me or being in my house after how you lied to Anna, betrayed her?”
Isabel smiled innocently “John, I only did what I did because your mother made me. She was the one who planned it all.”
“Isabel listen to yourself,” John screamed “you are so deluded you can’t even see what you have done. No one thinks you are innocent, you are as much at fault as the rest of them. I want you gone.”
“But John what about us?”
“You are crazy, there was never an “us.”
“John please,” She begged reaching for him.
“Get out now and don’t come back.”
Isabel looked at him and for a moment he saw darkness overcome her face, the monster hiding behind the beauty. Then in a flash, it was gone and Isabel smiled cruelly. “Fine your choice, but I think your mother is right. You’ll regret this.”
John opened the door and shoved her out it. “Leave us alone.” He said with chilling finality closing the door.
Isabel cursed harder than she ever had before as she ran down the steps. She was not used to being denied what she wanted. She got in the car and began to dial her phone, “yes” she thought with conviction “he was going to regret how he’d treated them all”.
