Chapter 25 Irritated

After saying that, she specially brought him a chair.
"Why do I have to stand here?" Remington asked.
Sophia answered, "You'll see in a moment."
She chose a location for the ordinary developer store, with over a dozen universities nearby.
And she sells women's shoes, clothing, and bags, targeting young and fashionable female students in the university town.
With Remington as their handsome spokesperson, relying on his high attractiveness, they would surely attract a lot of foot traffic.
This is similar to their company's e-commerce approach, where the product's main images need to be attractive to generate clicks.
Sure enough.
Remington stood there, and wave after wave of female university students approached. It far exceeded Sophia's expectations. They borrowed his charisma and looks.
Looking at the clothes, bags, and shoes, secretly assessing the stunning appearance of Remington.
"Where did this handsome guy come from? He looks like a big star."
"Clearly, he looks even better than a big star!"
"Look, doesn't he resemble a younger version of Keanu Reeves? Tall, handsome, noble, exuding an aura of social elitism."
"Clearly, he's younger and more handsome than the biggest stars."
"I mean a younger version, compared to the Hollywood stars." The young ladies, fascinated by Remington's appearance, whispered about his good looks while stealing glances at him, causing Remington's face to grow awkward.
He felt like he had become merchandise on display. And not just any merchandise, but the most attention-grabbing one. Instantly, Remington's mood turned gloomy, clearly displeased.
"He's even got the aloof and cool vibe!"
Sophia took the opportunity to introduce her merchandise. One of the curly-haired girls seized the chance to ask, "Sister, may I ask if you and that handsome guy set up this stall together?"
Sophia smiled and nodded, "Yes."
The curly-haired girl's eyes sparkled with curiosity, "What is your relationship?"
Sophia thought for a moment and cautiously replied, "Didn't you see him standing there like a boss?"
"Oh." The girl suddenly realized, "He's your boss?"
Sophia followed the girl's words and smiled, "Yes, he's my boss. These goods are from our factory, which closed down. They were intended for export. Now we're selling them at a discounted price, which is quite a deal."
"Discounted goods? They seem to be of good quality."
"Yes, usually we sell them for several hundred or even thousands."
After a brief chat, Sophia redirected the attention of the young ladies from Remington to the quality and prices of the clothes, bags, and shoes. They felt it was a great deal. Moreover, the quality of these goods was on par with department stores, but much cheaper.
One transaction after another was completed on the spot. The sound of PayPal notifications and messages kept ringing. Sophia was overjoyed.
However, Remington's face remained darkened throughout. He seemed particularly displeased with something Sophia had said.
After purchasing the items, the Sugar girls did not immediately leave but instead surrounded Sophia.
"Sister, can you give me your boss's number?"
They clearly weren't interested in buying clothes and bags. They were clearly attracted to Remington's good looks and wanted to get to know him better. Sophia saw through their intentions and looked towards Remington.
Remington's face turned even darker, "I don't have an active number."
The curly-haired girl pouted, showing her disappointment, "Boss, don't be stingy. We'll still need to buy things from you in the future."
Sophia considered that there could indeed be future transactions. Though they added Remington's messaging number because they were attracted to his appearance. However, she can turn Remington's messaging number into a business specifically targeting the consumer group of college girls in the university town, and there will definitely be conversion in future transactions.
"Where else would you find a boss like you, rejecting business opportunities?" Sophia snatched Remington's phone. With swift and decisive movements, she measured Remington's messaging QR code.
Before Remington could take his phone back, many Sugars had already scanned the code ahead of him. Afterwards, Remington's face remained cold and grim.
Sophia casually looked at his messaging moments, but there was not a single post. She discussed with him, "Remington, why don't we use your moments to showcase our products from now on?"
Remington looked at her with icy eyes, as if covered in a layer of frost. "Did you just tell them that I'm just your boss?"
Sophia didn't even notice the coldness in Remington's eyes. Now that she had some free time, she tidied up the shelves while chatting with him with her back turned.
"I just went along with what those college students said. And you naturally have the aura of a boss, so when you tell them that your factory is closing down and clearing inventory, they won't suspect anything."
She added, "This batch of products is good and selling them at a low price will make them think it's a good deal, which will make it easier to sell." Despite all that, she shouldn't have told those college girls that he was her boss.
Remington felt inexplicably annoyed. With a cold face, he asked, "Don't you know that they all think I'm handsome and clearly want my personal number? And yet you deliberately let them scan my QR code?"
"Well, you are handsome," Sophia turned her head and said confidently. "Your good looks can attract traffic, and there will be potential transactions in the future. If we can develop this micro-business, it could be a profitable channel."
Remington's face turned even colder and darker as he listened. "Don't you know they want to date me?" Speaking, he took out his phone and opened the messaging app. At least a dozen college girls had just added him. Now, seven people had messaged him privately, "Hey, do you have time? I want to invite you for a cup of tea."
"Hi, nice to meet you. My name is Alice Wong, you can call me Alice or simply honey. Can we make certain progress in the future?"
"You're so handsome. Do you have a girlfriend? If not, do you think I have a chance? Here's my photo." ... Remington and Sophia both finished reading these messages at the same time. After raising her head, Sophia smiled.
"You're still laughing?" Remington's brow furrowed even tighter.
"This shows that my husband is indeed very attractive and appealing," Sophia said. "I'm happy."
Remington restrained a certain anger and asked coldly, "Aren't you afraid that I might chat with them and reveal something?"
Sophia laughed again.
"What are you laughing at?" Remington couldn't hide his impatience.
Suddenly, Sophia found his appearance quite cute.
She smiled and said, "I'm not a fool, I know you're not that kind of person, how could I be afraid?"
"How am I not that kind of person? Do you understand me so well?" Remington asked.
Sophia smiled and replied, "You were never someone who acts recklessly."
"You see, when we got married, you said you wouldn't casually sleep with someone you had no feelings for, so we wouldn't have a substantial marital relationship after marriage. Even with me, someone who has a legal marriage certificate with you, you wouldn't act casually. How could you possibly do something with a girl who suddenly messaged you?"
Sophia added, "If it were true, then you wouldn't be Remington."
"Do you think my analysis is right or wrong?"
What she said made a lot of sense. Remington couldn't find any words to refute her. However, he became even more frustrated, not knowing why he felt this way.
"You seem to trust me quite a bit," he said irritably, sitting down and blocking and deleting all the girls who had just added him.
"What are you doing?" Sophia tried to stop him, but it was too late.
Remington declared, "I don't like casually adding people, especially the opposite sex. If you want to promote your online store, use your own messaging account to add people, not mine."
Who were these people he was adding?
They were all infatuated fans, one by one.
"Okay, okay, okay," Sophia complied with him. "I won't use your phone to add people randomly, can you please not be angry anymore?"
At around six o'clock, Charles came with two thermal lunchboxes to deliver food to the couple.
Sophia had just sold a bag worth 129 dollars.
After selling the bag, she watched as the customer walked away and quickly took the lunchbox from her father-in-law's hand.
"Dad, thank you for your hard work, and for personally delivering us the food."
"What's so hard about it? I stewed beef brisket soup for you today, and braised beef as well."
Sophia sat down and enjoyed the meal. When a customer arrived, Charles asked her and Remington to continue eating while he greeted them. Remington found it hard to understand how his father, who was once the chairman of a large conglomerate, had transformed into a common peddler just to please his daughter-in-law.
