Luca POV

I chuckled at her reaction.

I went to the reception and took an appointment. I need to make things clear with that asshole. I caught a glimpse of her cabin. Well I might just meet her.
I stopped midway on hearing a sound. I turned my head.  I walked closer to his cabin.

"Now your mine" I try opening the door but it is locked. I break the door and all I see is red.  

I punch him off her.
She fell lifeless on the floor.

"Angel" I held her face and saw the sleeve torn.

"You bastard.." I punched him hard and he fucking smirked at me.

"She's the perfect size " he said . I pushed him off the table and punched him till he blacked out.

I ran to her.

"Angel wake up . " I tried waking her up but she didn't respond to my calls.

I am gonna fucking sue him.
I carried Angel and ran out.

I place her gently on my back seat.
That bloody asshole he is gonna regret doing this. I am gonna make him fucking pay.

She has Nosocomephobia. So taking her to the hospital will only exacerbate .

As soon as we reached home I was out of my seat and holding her delicately to my house.

The only thing that kept me sane was that she was breathing.

As soon as I placed her on the bed , the intercom beeped. I ran and Mrs. Sullivan was there. I had called the doctor while driving.

She rushed towards my room and told me to stay outside,  but I couldn't leave her alone. My heart wouldn't let me. So I stayed back when the doctor checked on her.

The doctor give her a sedation . I sat beside her. She lost consciousness because that  bastard repeatedly slapped her.

She is sleeping now. Suddenly my phone starts beeping .

It's my lawyer Elijah  , I walk out of the room.

Matt is arrested and has been trying to get released with his connections. But he doesn't know that he has awakened the beast in me. Elijah talked about many clauses that were against Matt and he is locked from all sides. I talked with him for a while .

I won't allow him to step out of prison.

As soon as I finished with the paperwork , I slid my phone on my pocket and went to check on Angel.

But I was shocked when I saw the bed empty. My heart started beating so fast.

I go and check all the rooms.
Bathroom checked.
Guest room checked.

"Angel!!??" I yelled.

"Baby where are you?" I start running .I pass the garden to check the kitchen. That's when I hear whimpering. I snap my head and find Angel crying. I rush towards her and hug

"Nothing happened. Baby. You are fine. I am here. " I try soothing her. She stays stiff. It hurts me to see her in this situation.

"Leave me alone " she tells. 

"Baby gir-" I couldn't complete it as she cut me off.

"Please  I want to be alone " she tells to me trying to hide her tears but failing in it.
I nod.

And it hurts me to do that. To leave her when she is in that condition.

"Call me if you need anything" I tell and leave. I check my phone and it again starts beeping but this time its Liam.

I enter the living room and accept the call.

"How is she!?"

"What am I supposed to say" I said controlling myself from having a breakdown.

I hear commotion 
" What do you mean"he said panting

"Can you bring Dani here ?" That was my last resort.
Maybe she will talk to her best friend. Maybe she wants a woman beside her.

"We are reaching there I am currently on road" 

" That would be better "

And I hang the call.
I held my head on my hands.

I should have killed him at the office.

I grip a glass tightly and it breaks. My hand is full of blood. But still my anger doesn't abate.

The intercom beeps.

Dani rushes to my room.

Liam stares at my bloodied hand.

He brings the first aid box and starts treating it.

"I am not letting that fucking asshole out of jail" I said clenching my other hand.

"That's what we all are for " he said.
I didn't flinch when he applied the medicine.

"I was fucking there when it happened . I .... I fucking let her walk into that. If I didn't reach there in time."

" Luca " he looks at me.

"It fucking hurts  to watch her like that. She is scared of me because of that  bloody ..... she is distancing from me. And it breaks my heart "

"Luca" I heard my name being called from behind. It was Dani.

I quickly wiped my tears. Liam turned .

"Luca she is a bit shaken up with what happened . Anyways I made her eat an apple" she said. 

I turned and looked at her.
She smiled weakly at me. My eyes might look red now , but I don't care.

"Thanks Dani" I said .

Liam hugged me.
Emotion welled up inside me.

"Luca we can stay . Angie might need a woman here ....?" 

"No that's not needed. Not only that Dani is pregnant now and I don't want to add her tension. We are fine " I said 

"Just text me if you need us" he said .

He hugged me.

"She needs you Luca. She won't say it but she does. Stay strong for her " he patted my shoulder and left.


I can't breakdown at this moment when my girl has just experienced something cruel.
Liam is right.
I was only thinking from my side.
Angel just went through something very bad.

I slowly walked to my room and find her staring at the painting . I didn't make any noise .

I lean on the wall outside my room.

I couldn't see her like this.
She was broken.
And my heart ached to watch her like this.
