Luca POV
I leaned on the washroom's door frame watching her splashing water on her face for the past 10 minutes. She has been acting weird ever since we left the hospital. It looks like she isn't even aware of my presence here. I roll my sleeves and walk towards her and hug her from behind.
I was right, she let out a short gasp.

"What's wrong ?" She asked after a long silence. "Hmm I was going to ask that to you" she didn't reply.

"I am fine. Nothings wrong with me " she tried to fake happiness and moved away from me . She walked to the dressing table and started to remove her earrings.
I am sure that she's certainly hiding something from me.
"Angel stop lying to me, you clearly know my car model, the colour , the number and yet went away from my car. " She avoided my gaze.
"Babe tell me what's wrong? Is this about yesterday?"
"Luca I told you I- I am fine. Leave me alone" her voice cracked and I rushed immediately by her side.
"Hey, I am so sorry. I didn't mean to upset you. You don't have to tell me anything. " I hugged her close. I couldn't bear to see her crying.
"You might be hungry, let me bring something for you and by that time you go and freshen up. Okay?" I pecked on her forehead and directed towards the door.

"Luca" I looked back.

She looked uneasy for a while and then looked at my face.

"Please don't leave me ever" she begged.

"Babe, what! No never. I can't even imagine a life without you. I am so sorry for hurting you. Lets not talk about that alright." but she held my hand.

"Today at work I- Hey babe, you don't have to. I know that I tried to pressurize you , but hey no worries. you don't have to tell me anything. All that I ever want is you" she hugged me and I could feel her tears falling on my shirt.

"You are the one that give me happiness and you are the one that I should share my sadness too" What had happened in my absence that made my girl so sad! I wiped her tears and walked her to the bed.

"I got a message from Grandy while I was at work. At first I thought he was going to fire at me, but instead he asked me a question. And it was the same question he asked me last night. Yesterday I was too shocked that...., about how could he even ask me such a thing? Even after Liam's confession last night. " She closed her eyes as if in pain. I held her hand.

"Please don't stop me. I have to let this out of my system. Its causing too much pain. He asked to choose between you and him" And my whole world stopped at those words. I don't know why that I couldn't look at her. But she held my hand and kissed .

" I chose both. In my childhood, all that I have experienced is people walking away from me. No matter how many friends I made, at the end of the day, they left me. I used think that why was it only happening to me . All my orphanage friends got adopted and it was just me there all the time. And after a certain age, I just stopped talking to anyone anymore. So that I don't have to face the pain anymore. Dani's and Liam's arrival into my life" she smiled saying the last words.

"I have pushed them away from me too many times, but no matter what they came back. And seeing them made me always wonder , that when was I going to have a connection in my life. And then you came in and showered me with love, so much love that I cannot even measure. Luca, you introduced me to your parents and stood with me at all times. And if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have even known that I have a family. You could have stopped me or restrained me due to the issues you had with Grandy, but all that you saw was my happiness. And sometimes I feel that I am dreaming, that how fortunate I was for meeting you. I love you , I love Liam, I love Grandy; but he doesn't go with the same thought. I told a huge story didn't I?" she wiped her tears and looked at me with her fresh tears, why was he doing this to her!?

"Later at work, he messaged me again . I was reluctant to open the message at first and kept it unread. But while you went to the pharmacy, I opened them. He said that I couldn't have the both and if I am still staying on the same ground, th-hat I should just pretend that I never met Grandy." I couldn't believe my ears for a moment. How could he even say something like that. I was there to see her happiness when she got know about her family. He always used to get his way but this is not how its done.

" Babe, I will talk to hi- NO" she snapped at me startling me.

" Talking with him means a negotiation. And you are not a topic for negotiation to me" I looked at for a long while. Where was she all these years?

"We are going to fight this together. And if everything shows a green light at the beginning itself, its a silver spoon. But, my Angel is a tough woman and no one can break her that easily; right? And now, I am going to cuddle you so tightly so you better don't have second thoughts about what you said about me" I smiled and she chuckled at my choice of words.

"Never" she whispered and I kissed her and looked at her the whole time until she fell asleep.

It was 1:45 and Angel was asleep, so I moved to the study without making a sound. The number went on dial and it was answered on the second ring.

"Are you stalking me!?" he asked moving around.

"I have better things to do " I said . I could hear a commotion from his side and he was definitely moving around.

"How do you know that I am awake at this time!" he finally sat somewhere.

"Why do you think that I give you one of my most valuable and important branch to you?"

"Well because I am humble"

"Geez...I don't know why am I even calling you in the first case"

"Well that's simple, since you have an infactuati- Cut the crap Dean" he laughed. I rubbed my temples. Sometimes I just doubt that how did I end up being friends with this guy.

"I need a favor" I blurted, God this sound so weird.

"Woah!! Wait, does this revolve around Angel?" I looked at the blank wall.

"Yes"

"And does this include her grandfather with whom you have issues with?"I replied a yes to that too.

"Well then, good night I mean good morning"

"Woah woah where you running off to!!?" I yelled through my phone and immediately reduced my volume recalling a sleeping Angel few rooms away.

"Luca, I am not going anywhere near her grandfather. I haven't seen him in person but the horror stories are enough plus today"

"I am not calling you to talk to hi- wait what do you mean by today!? What happened today?" I heard him inhaling sharply.

"That wasn't supposed to come out of my mouth" and all that he got in back from me was silence.

"Alright, today a guy appeared at my door. And to add more totally wasted scared to go to his house and face his pregnant girlfriend"

"Who are you talking about"

"Do you know any other guys with a pregnant girlfriend??"

"LIAM WAS DRUNK"I was shocked to know that. He was the most mature guy among us.

"As I was saying, he sobbed around here talking about yesterday's whole thing and let me say you one thing it was a total mess. He couldn't approach you since you are not the old Luca anymore. It scares me too when I talk to you, like where did the old Luca go. And the highlighting fact that you are his future brother-in-law. So I am the residual factor here" I still can't digest the fact that Liam drank. He is the dad in our friendship .

"Oh and don't you dare break this topic on Liam. You haven't told Angel about the fact that I know the whole truth right?" I sighed.

"I didn't want her to be uncomfortable at work" If she knew that Dean knew the whole thing, she might not talk so freely with him anymore after yesterday's issue.

"And she didn't feel suspicious about it?"

"Not now anyway, but eventually she will"

"And what is the current location of Liam, I mean he couldn't have gone back to his place in this condition".

"He's in the guestroom sleeping in a position as if he's gonna do a marathon soon. I was cleaning his vomit around here. Hmm.. the whole house need to be cleaned tomorrow. Yeah so then why did you call me ?" I was brought back from my thoughts of Liam . I shouldn't think more and endanger my friend's life. If Angel gets to know about this, its sure as can be that Dani will be the next person to have ears on this.
