Angel POV
I had to sneak out of the house at dawn while everyone was sleeping. Yesterday as soon as we brought Grandy home, Luca's car was out of the gates. There wasn't even a negotiation , it was a direct order and he doesn't want me to leave. Even after Liam confessed the whole truth. I can't depend on Liam also now because, he is on Grandy's black list now.
As soon as I was out of the window, memories of me hurting my hand flashed . I could rethink and just stay back, and never have the chance to go back. My whole body held the pipe and called upon all gods a descended quietly , shivering down wholly.
The sun wasn't set yet,all I could find were daily labourers in the ticket counter when I boarded in the bus. I know that , I would be facing a huge pile of consequences once I reach back home. But I would prefer that , than staying here.
I could feel my phone vibrating at some stops, but I was all sleepy and cared less to check upon who it was, because I knew who it would be and I preferred it not answered.
As soon as I reached back home, I did a quick wash grabbed dry work clothes and off to work.
The ground level parking was full, so I had to go to the basement, so extra walking. Once I was inside, the atmosphere changed. People were walking with piles of files with tensed faces. And as soon as I stepped foot down , the murmurs arised. I balance my bag and car keys on one hand and opened the door. And everything fell from my hand as soon as I found a furious Luca behind the door.
He grabbed my phone and did some scrolling and typing which all were in anger and shoved the phone on my face.
"Look at this !!!!???" I flicked my eyes to the phone and blinked on seeing the missed calls I received.
101 missed calls Luca
20 missed calls Liam
10 missed calls Grandy
50 missed called Dani
"What the fuck were you even thinking woman ??" He shouted.
He pulled his hair in frustration and avoided looking at me.
"I had millions of heart attacks when Liam called me informing you were not in the premises. I see you yesterday and today you are just gone!? What the fuck were you thinking lady !!???" He hit the table with force .
He stood there glaring at me for a while and sighed and walked to me and picked my things from the floor.
"Don't tell me that you jumped from the house or something " he stood and saw me not reacting to his earlier comment. The things fell again and I was turned here and there. He lifted my skirt, rolled up my sleeves and found nothing to get more pissed off.
And he picked the stuff and directed towards the window and stared at the clouds.
"He wanted me to stay there forever " I whispered. I couldn't speak more, my voice wasn't coming louder.
"Liam couldn't back me up because he confessed everything and ended up getting a black mark. So I was on my own. If I had waited till today morning, he would have known about my plan and would do something to avert that. " I fiddled with my hands.
"You should have called me ! " He said.
I walked towards him and held his hand.
"Luca, I want you in my life and not away. If you had come , there's obviously going to be a havoc . And it will definitely affect his approach to our relationship "
"So this is a good approach !?? Stop talking bullshit Angel. " he pinched the bridge of his nose.
"I came on my own will. It was my wish to come here. And he has understood that " I said.
"Did any creepy guys stare at you?"I looked at him blinking . He should be kidding me right now.
"The bus was filled with labourers and many grandmothers. It was 4 in the morni-" I shut my mouth immediately realizing what I just blurted out.
"You went out at fucking 4 am !!!???" He shouted.
"What? Who told you that. I never said anyth-" I zoomed my mouth when he give me the look 'don't you dare' .
"Were ou fucking craz- What's happening here ?" Dean walked in cutting Luca off.
"I need to talk to my girlfriend " Luca grumbled.
"You can do that later " I was shocked by that answer.
"This is my office and she is my secretary. I need her and my cabin now " he said. Is that really Dean?
"Who the hell do you think are you talking to!?" Luca strode towards him. Oh my god!
"The CEO can sit at his chair at his office, and let me do my job " I couldn't belive my ears. Are they malfunctioning by any chance. Luca was in front of his face in seconds and I rushed and pulled him back.
"Dean , I will be there in the cabin ASAP" I said . He nodded and walked out.
"Who the hell does he think he is " Luca said from behind me.
"Luca, calm down. Let's talk about the rest at home. Alright...?" I held his hand and he looked at me.
"I am going to kick his ass" Oh God! Who was I even talking to? He walked out.
I grabbed my head seeing the whole drama. And suddenly I have pulled from behind and I fall on a hard chest.
"I forgot something " he said , and kissed me.
I smiled.
"I am still pissed with you" he said and walked out.

I placed the files in alphabetical order on Dean's desk. He was typing on his laptop, not looking away from it, he motioned me to sit.
"What's in my schedule for today ?" He asked.
"At 9:30am you have a webinar with Mr. Ashish Chauhan of Techtypo Company.
And then , it's kept flexible since the duration is unknown so after that the budget meeting will be taking place at the conference room with all management and financing heads........" I kept on reading the schedule until my eyes caught the last name.
I looked at him.
"7:15 pm, a meeting with Mr. Luca Knight" and he finally looked at me and smiled folding his arms. I looked at him confused at his behavioral change.
"I was waiting for you to read that " he said closing his laptop.
"How was my performance today morning " he winked.
I definitely look like a fish right now, closing and opening mouth.
He chuckled and waved off.
"I used to do this often with Luca, but ever since he got committed , that guy's got a bit too wrapped away. And I guess, it's the first time you are seeing me like this right " I covered my face , and he had a good laugh.
"Life is too short, I need to have my entertainment, those sparks " he smirked.
"That was too much entertainment. I had literally hold Luca back from doing some damage to you " he motioned me to come closer and combed his hair backwards and pointed at a mark.
"Designed by Luca " I stared a him.
"Don't worry, it wasn't just me. It was a give and take"
"What did you do to him "that came out of my mouth immensely and he looked at me holding his heart.
"Wow! I am hurt . Like so much. I need to get a girlfriend soon" he muttered . I stared at him and he sighed.
"Its nothing. A small , tiny mark on his left hand. " I took my things and walked out and he laughed again.
My phone vibrated , it was a text message from Grandy. I stared at the notification for a while. I know he is angry with me. But he kept me in a position , that I don't want to be in evermore. I ignored the message and walked to my cabin and started to read the files and make notes. But it kept on making me kind of guilty for not reading his message. I know it, the moment I read it, a reply should also be there. I ignore all those feelings and open my phone . It was the same question he asked me yesterday.

I typed Both. And closed my phone.
