Third person POV

Dani walked out.
"I will handle this"
Luca patted Liam's back and followed Dani.
Angel rolled her sleeves and went to the pool outside. She heard footsteps approaching but didn't look back .
A box was placed on her legs. She looked at him.
"It isn't much, but kept me breathing " she looked at him confused but ignored it and opened the box.
There was a small bead , a piece of pale blue cloth, a small shoe and a picture of a baby .
"I used to always hold you by my side and was totally against the idea of taking pictures. Grandy used to say that I need to do so, so that later I could keep those as memories and I used to laugh them off saying that my sister was going to be with me forever. Angel , I was a kid then ... I didn't know that I would be losing my baby sister afterall. And when I did , I closed myself from everyone. I regretted not making any memories with you, but Grandy did have a picture of you" Angel could feel the tear almost going to fall from her eyes and saw him picking the picture and looking at it with love.
" I have never been the same after I lost you, I mean by baby sister. "
"Why are you saying this to me " she looked ahead .
He sighed.
" Because I am a coward "
"That you are " he chuckled.
"A few minutes back , I realised that if I didn't step forward I might lose both of you together. The fact was that I was playing safe all these years. And I have already known the pain of losing both of you once, I can't go through that once more " she looked at him confused.
"When did Luca fight with you?" She felt like being in the dark all of a sudden.
"Actually , it was the opposite. I fought with him over Dani. Come on, don't tell me you forgot it, your love story ....!?" She shaked her head off smiling.
There was silence.
Liam knew that , he had to start talking now.
"I am sure that Luca haven't told you about how we met " he fiddled with his hands.
"You guys were in the same college " she looked at him.
He nodded.
"Yeah, but did not share same classes " he inhaled sharply.
"I was pretty much a messed up teenager. I can't particularly say that I graduated from this specific school , because I was transfered from a school to another. I felt empty inside , frustrated my anger on anyone and anywhere. Our parents told to move on. But I couldn't, it was like a second you were in my arms and then the next moment you are gone. I was such a happy kid when I got to know that I was gonna be an elder brother. I used talk rubbish with you all night on my mother's stomach. I still remember, you were born around 2 in the morning and I couldn't sleep until I saw your face. I was so happy, like so so much happy for you to be my sister and I am grateful and the happiest man to get my sister back . And I also know that I fucked up. " he couldn't hold it anymore. The tears rolled down. She felt her chest tightening.
All these years she thought no one missed her , or yearned for her . But now she couldn't sit there cold hearted. She leaned her head on his shoulders. And felt him moving slightly on the sudden action.
"Angie there's more " he whispered after a while.
"I don't wanna know "
" I want you to know " she looked at him , but he couldn't look at her .
"College was the place where things went down. I was away from home and obviously away from jurisdiction , fell hard on a wrong gang . I " Liam closed his eyes.
"You don't have say anything to me. I appreciate you for taking the lead to tell me"
She said hold his hand in assurance.
" No Angie. You have to know why Grandy is acting like this towards Luca " she looked at him.
He sighed.
"I was high. And couldn't even realise who was beside me. The guys that I thought as friends trapped me and accidentally Luca was the delivery boy. He understood their plan to put me as a front to the police and in that state of mind , he pulled me out of that house. And after that, never went there and I don't drink . Grandy got to know about my drugs story a month later and thought Luca was the bad gang. And -" she snapped her head.
" Grandpa thinks that Luca took you to the bar ?" She asked.
He nodded.
She rubbed her temples, stood and went inside . Liam followed her in.
"Angie , say something " she looked at him.
"Say these things to him " she said . He motioned his phone to her.
"He is not taking my calls "
"Do you really expect him to take your calls , after your performance "she tied her hair and felt annoyed with a mumbling from somewhere.
"Try calling from your phone " he said.
" Yeah he is definitely going to accept my call after I yelled at him " she folded her arms.
"Its been an hour since he's out " he looked at her.
"Why are you looking at me!? He is obviously going to try a negotiation and it's a big NO. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Luca. If Luca didn't find out , then I would be just your friend and not your long lost sister " she argued.
"You are right. I owe my life to him. If it wasn't for him , then even if I died- oww" Angel slapped him hard on the back. She was pissed off.
"I am just saying "
"Fucking shut up"
"Let me complete lady, if I died- ah " he held her hands stopping from further slaps for which she grunted.
"If I died back then , my photo would have been published in a small inner column of the newspaper or maybe never in it. But today, if I die . Angie I am gonna be there in front page. " She stepped on his foot.
"Oww Angie all that I wanted to mean was - oww fine sorry oww" he yelped in pain after she pinched him for talking nonsense .
"Don't you dare talk about death ever again. Do you get it " she glared at him. And he nodded .
"Who's talking here?" Liam said after a long gap.
"I have also been hearing it for a while " she followed the sound to the kitchen and put her hands on her hip.
Dani had her mouth full and Luca was laughing with her.
"What the hell is happening here ?" Liam came in.
Luca looked at her and stood up fast as if Angel caught him doing something wrong. But Dani was enjoying her food, licking her hand .
Angel walked out of the kitchen, she was done with all the drama.
She heard footsteps behind and pulled back to a hard chest.
"Hey, how did the talk go " He asked nuzzling on her hair.
"You were flirting with her " she said trying to wiggle out of his hold.
"Was I?"
"No" she knew him. And that's what they held with them.
TRUST.
"Dani had to be away from this stress, and all that I could come up with was food." She chuckled.
They stood there in silence.
"He told me about your delivery boy days " she whispered.
"Ah he went there " he turned her towards him and kept his arms locked on her waist.
"You didn't tell me that" she said playing with the cloth of his chest.
"That's a story that he needed to say " he pecked on her forehead .
"You guys good now? Or am I still a messenger between you two?" She hit him playfully and he chuckled.
"But , I am serious Babe . Are you guys good? Shaked hands, hugged each other ?" He raised his eyebrows.
"Actions speaks better than words " she whispered .
"You hit him didn't you" she snapped her head to him and blinked.
"How.." she mumbled.
"I know that you are not that lovey dovey type " he said. And after that , he was running for his life.
"Grandy's at the bar " Liam announced suddenly which made me stop midway.
"He isn't supposed to drink " Luca said.
Liam went through his pockets and grabbed his keys. And looked at Dani.
" I will stay" Luca volunteered.
Liam didn't move.
"Oh come on, he already knows that I am here. Call me when you guys are near and I will out as soon as you guys come home " he said.
Angel looked sad.
"Okay " Liam went out to take his car.
Angel looked at him.
"Hey, go talk to that old man of yours, I know he's not gonna agree. But baby steps right. Hmm?" He looked at her.
"I will just go then " Dani cleared her throat and went.
Luca smiled.
"I can't stay and you know that " he said putting her hair behind. Liam pressed the horn.
"He always have the perfect timing ain't he " she chuckled.
"Come on woman, find that old man. Talk to him and if you want a leav-" she put her fingers on his lips stopping him from talking.
"I am not taking a leave. " She grumbled.
"Alright fine. Then stop frowning." He kissed her lips.
He held her hands and walked her to Liam's car and opened the passenger door . She sat on the seat and he pulled the seat belt for her.
"See you tomorrow babe " she smiled and nodded.
