Luca POV

I pace around room thinking of a way out. And suddenly heard shouting from downstairs I silently opened the door and  leaned from the stairs to see what was happening.
"..all this while??" Liam's face told he would watch paint dry than this. Suddenly my attention fell on Angel.

She was shaking, and moving irregularly. I was out from there in seconds. I didn't care for who all saw me now because all I saw in that room now was my girl and  was not well.

They were arguing and no one has seen her almost face kissing the ground .

"Angel " I yell.  And I know that there are three pair of eyes directed towards me.

I hold her before falling and she's fainted And not moving .
"Hey come on, don't do this to me. Liam bring water" and he rushes. He puts together chairs and I lay her on top of it.
I grab the jug from him and sprinkle water .

She starts to move slightly.
"Hey babe " she looks at me.
"Luca" I lift her head a bit and make her have water. She tries to move but before I could walk back to her I was pushed off from her.

"How dare you come here !?" He yells at me.
"Grandpa" Angel whispered.  She wasn't comfortable there and needed to be moved to a bed .
"Don't you dare come closer " I stopped.
"Grandy he's innocent"
"You don't know him like I do" he was seething and in normal conditions , I would leave but she is not well and I can't leave her like this.

"Grandy" Liam interrupted. And he showed his hands stopping him.

"See I didn't know that she was your granddaughter when I fell in love with her "I finally started talking. He drilled his eyes at me .

"Now you know, so back off you womanizer" he yelled at me.

"Its not like what you think " Angel was in front of me in seconds. She looked at Liam and sighed.

"There's an other side of the story, you need to let him talk. Luca haven't done anything so bad to be treated like this" she stood on her ground. As much as I liked her defending me, this was not how I wanted her to spent her weekend with her grandfather.

"Angel it's fine" I whispered to her , trying to calm her down .

"How can I be calm when he is blaming you for something that isn't your fault!" She matches her grandfather in the anger department.  One among them should be calmed down right now.

And it's frustrating to just stand helpless. All I want is to hug her now, but I can't. He grabs her hand and walks away with her.

"Grandpa please." Liam rushed and stopped him from moving by standing in front of them.

"You have to listen to the other side of the story" he looked at Angel and then me.

" I can't lose my best friend and sister on this. That night.... it wasn't Luca's plan. I was out from a break up and I wanted a cool off place. He warned me but I cut him off . And the rest you know . He had nothing to do with this! And if you still think like that, he could have just walked away when those guys punched me , which he didn't. And I was the coward hiding it from everyone. "
The helplessness was getting to the core , I knew that my mere presence made the old man seethe.

Liam took Angel's hand and wrapped it on mine. We both looked at him.

" Grandy , Luca loves her a lot and I have seen it, everyone deserves a second chance" the room went silent and after a few seconds he walked out of the house.

"What just happened here!?" Dani had her accusing eyes directed at Liam.

"Dani" I started.
"No, I want it from his mouth" she has not removed her eyes from Liam.

"Babe , I.." He walked towards her holding her but she removed his hands.

"Don't touch me, I know you have done something so bad that Grandy had to walk out "

Dani walked out.
"I will handle this" and I ran after her.
"Hey, Dani" she stopped,  looking at me with a tear stained face.
"How can you be so calm after being blamed for all this, when you had nothing to do with this. All you did was stay silent when Grandy yelled at you?"

"Dani , I wasn't at fault and Angel respects her Grandpa a lot even if it's the first time they are meeting. So I respect her decision." She looked at me for a few seconds with an expression which I couldn't read.

She walked a few steps and settled on the bench. I sat beside her.

"You know what hurts the most, when the person you love and trust the most hides something from you" she looked ahead.

"And you know what hurts the most,  the thought of loosing the person you love and trust so much" she snapped her head at me.

"I almost had that feeling a day back when I revealed the truth to her. She stood silent amd that's when my heart was beating too fast. I am not defending or supporting  Liam here. Just saying that , he might have had the same thought, the fear that you might leave when you know the truth. "

"I would never "

She looked at the house.
"I walked out from there because they needed to have a talk , a very long talk."

"What about Grandy??" She looked concerned.

I sighed, for a way long day . I was quiet.

"Don't worry, he's gonna come back . This house holds his wife's memories" she nods.

"Now come on, I guess you haven't had your breakfast. And I don't want Liam wating my head for that " she laughed.

"He's just protective " she cooed.
"He has my foods prescribed printed and carried with him at all times as a hard copy plus soft copy " shy rubbed her temples. That's my boy. We walked slowly.

"Oh yeah, that guy also ordered tonnes of pregnancy guide book and probably already arrived back home." She stopped midway and cursed.

"I said these things to you" she looked at me and I bit my laugh.

"Oh God!! I endangered my best friend's life!"
