Chapter 19

Berliana opened the door to the room she was in after cleaning herself. It was already 9:00 pm and she felt very sleepy, she better get some sleep because there was a lot of work to be done tomorrow.

Tomorrow the workers selected by the government and recruited directly will arrive soon and will immediately carry out the assembly process of the robots needed by them in the near future. As the person in charge of what the government had given her, she would be the one to monitor and see to all the workers seen inside.

Berliana stirred restlessly as she felt someone touching some part of her body again. If at first she would not wake up and instead continue sleeping, tonight she already knew that she was in the same state as she had been waiting for a few days ago.

This figure that touched her was the one she had been waiting for and its arrival was also unpredictable, if Berliana didn't catch it tonight then she would fail again.

Holding back the soft sigh that almost came out of her mouth, Berliana moved her hand so that she could hold back someone who was in a slightly boiling position. She could feel it now if she hadn't been under the influence and control all this time, so she could only feel and drift further into sleep.

Slowly but surely, she was finally able to touch the figure on top of her, and hugged her tightly. Berliana could feel that the figure was startled, especially when she opened her eyes and looked at his face with a serious gaze.

"Victor Valdes! What made you become like this?!"

The robot looked panicked but didn't say anything, he could only turn his head but then moved slowly and struggled to remove Berliana's hand from his.

"Shut up! How long are you going to treat me like this, huh?!"

Robot Victor seemed to stare at her, then a smile appeared on his handsome face and dominant gaze.

"Who taught you to do all this? How can you act like you're harassing me?"

"Harassing you? How?" Victor's robot asked back, making Berliana stare at his active system.

"What do you mean, who's controlling you from afar?"

"No one, who can control me anyway? I can do anything on my own, without anyone else's orders." Victor's robot replied in his distinctive Victor voice.

Berliana was silent for a moment, then looked up at his face. "Why did you do that? What you've been doing to me the last few days is forbidden, don't be careless. I created you to be Victor's replacement, how can you behave like this? You can't do it anymore, I am your creator so you must obey my words, hear?"

Robot Victor smiled softly, his demeanor and style was exactly like a real human. Berliana had no idea how the robot had adapted all those styles and skills.

She had never given them to Victor, these were all new traits that took Berliana by surprise.

"I'm not your robot, Berliana. I am your boyfriend, you are mine. We're not going to be tied together just because you created me and I'm a robot that will be the object of your fantasies. I want to have a bigger position than that and you can't stop me." Victor said as he got up, looking at Berliana's face who looked so confused in her place.

"I never put such a system into your mind and brain, you are even in the process of being developed by me to be close to perfect as a human being. What you're thinking is too much."

Victor laughed softly, making Berliana even more shocked. Because she had never given some features like that, the new vector was perfect in terms of physical and appearance but some skills like laughing and thinking, Berliana had not given it yet because she was also still waiting for time.

How come the robot was now more skilled in doing anything? Berliana couldn't even believe it now that she could clearly see everything.

"I'm sure someone is controlling you, you weren't like this before. You won't do anything other than what I tell you to do." Berliana said as she moved to her feet.

She seemed to reach for a tablet but Victor's hand quickly took it away and then looked at Berliana's face with a serious look.

"I'm not being controlled by anyone, I only have the memories and consciousness of the dead Victor because you keep mentioning him to me. Over the years I always heard that name and subconsciously everything waited for the memory that made me have to become him too. But no matter, I'm happy to be him because I got someone who cares about me like you. You don't want and don't want to lose me until whenever, I can assume everything you say is true and you are indeed full of sincerity that's why I like you too.

"No one controls me and you have nothing to fear. I live for myself and become a figure that you can look up to because you are worried about me and also want me back. You don't need to worry and you don't need to feel afraid for something I think about. You won't have a problem with my resurrection as a robot at a time that is not yet right. I am willing to continue to do so and make you feel happy while at home without being lonely at all like you have always felt. I won't do anything to cause you grief and the like. I'm willing to obey whatever you say and won't leave the house when it's not time. I just can't just stand by and feel neglected while you're busy with those new robots you're going to create, I'm not happy so I got up and approached you when you didn't come to me anymore."

Berliana was seeing more and more changes in Victor at this time. She never thought that the robot Victor would turn out to be someone so obsessed and she would not understand where the obsession came from because it was so sudden.

Berliana had never stimulated him to do things like this but it was true that he had always talked about Victor in front of the robot over the years since his skeleton had been built. But Berliana never thought things would turn out like this because she really didn't expect it to be this weird.

"You don't have to worry, I always hoped this would happen soon and when it did I was so happy to see you." Robot Victor said as he approached and gently held both of Berliana's shoulders. "It's late, you should get some sleep. I won't make any trouble as long as you sleep and I'll still be my usual self that you know. I'll just guard and protect you from some things that might make you unhappy. My system will keep running and will continue to upgrade itself, I will never harm you but on the contrary, I will always protect and be with you from now on."

Those words, spoken by Victor, made Berliana pause and stare at the face of the robot in front of her. Was it true that this robot was Victor's incarnation? But why did it have to be in robot form? Why not human form?

If it was in human form then it would be easier and very good, but somehow everything was confined to the handsome robot he had made so far.

"Tomorrow you have a lot of work to do, you don't need to think about anything. Rest and have a good night, tomorrow morning you will have enough energy to do the next job. I'll be sitting here, keeping you company all night."

Berliana obeyed as Victor's robot led her to the bed and made her lie down. He even wrapped her in a blanket and rubbed her head with such skillful movements that it didn't seem like a typical robot. Victor's gentle gaze and saying a few things like songs made Berliana really fall asleep, she also felt tired so she could sleep quickly plus all these thoughts suddenly entered her head and made her dizzy.

Berliana really wanted to stop with all these strange thoughts so sleeping was the only way she could do.

"You won't be alone anymore from now on, because I protect you here."
