Chapter 24

Berliana turned over and felt very comfortable in her sleep. She stared at what appeared in her eyes when she opened them, always hugging the bolster pillow in her hand and smiling softly.

"I have today off so I can rest all day."

She fell asleep again after those few words, feeling very tired and really wanting to sleep for a long time. He had been doing research after research and development as well as presentations before the new employees who started working seriously for the past few days. It had been almost 4 months that he had been researching and creating the robot project so in the future it was just a matter of drafting and assembling as well as a few things that someone would do for development.

As the sunlight dazzled her sleeping eyes, Berliana woke up when she realized it was already noon. She was really tired but it was enough to make her feel very happy for being able to sleep longer today than usual. Usually she didn't spend much time sleeping because she was used to the work and new thoughts she got in the morning and it forced her to work.

"You just woke up? I made breakfast."

Berliana paused because she didn't know when she entered the vector memory of cooking and what she used to eat. But this Victor robot had already made her food several times and it made Berliana feel like she was experiencing a deja vu that she had never felt, however, all those memories were still sticky and made her remember Victor who had left her years ago.

Staring at the breakfast prepared by Victor's robot, it was spaghetti and omelette. Berliana knew that it was her favorite meal but during the few days she had been here she rarely ate it because she preferred to eat instant food. There were a lot of instant foods that were just like home-cooked meals, so she already knew that she didn't need to bother cooking and just needed to buy those types of foods.

"How did you know I like this food?" Berliana asked as she pulled out a chair and sat there.

"You forgot? I have Victor's memory."

Berliana looked at him with a face that turned sad for a few moments. It had been said by this robot for several times but she knew she really understood and didn't want to believe it. Who would have thought that this robot would continue to make her believe by convincing her with some sweet memories between her and Victor.

"I really want to make you happy, Berliana. Even though the real Victor died and left you in a state where you didn't want any of it to happen, believe me that he still wants you to live well. Victor was a very important person in your life, but he also considered you important so through me he wants to say that you should make things better. Not necessarily forget him, but make your life better and don't keep focusing on the past. You will only hurt yourself and it will never end. Appreciate what you can appreciate because you are the one she loves the most."

Berliana sighed softly and looked at the robot Victor's face. "If you have his memories, do you know what made Victor die?"

"He had a sudden onset of heart disease, apparently it was a congenital disease from birth that never recurred. He got the disease because his family for generations died of heart disease. That's why you made a robot without a heart organ in it. Because you hated the organ that killed him."

Berliana gripped the spoon and closed her eyes to try and calm herself. She knew this wasn't easy for her to deal with, but in the future she could see that she knew what the problem was. She hoped that in the future it would be easier to make a more prosperous and happy life. But she could not forget and let go of her memories of the robot.

"He also talks to you a lot, ah, wrong, he also puts a lot of his memories on you. All those memories are true and I was too stupid to love him so much that he even kept them a secret from me. You know, we were going to get married in a few days but she suddenly got hospitalized and died. Wouldn't have expected things to turn out like that, making me hate fate so much. I wanted to be a doctor in the past, but because he left me so I gave up my wish and went abroad.

"My determination back then was to keep her alive but that was impossible because she had already been taken into the grave. I... I became interested in becoming a robot inventor when I saw a flyer on the street. I went to college and I worked hard all night to make it a reality because with a robot I could make it come alive. If it was just a doll I would play with myself like crazy but a robot would be able to give a different effect. He can be a figure that will keep me company and talk even though he's just a robot but at least it can make me forget about my longing for Victor."

Wiping away her tears, Berliana knew that all of this was difficult. She couldn't make things as real as she wanted because she knew it was difficult. In the future she would have an easier time understanding everything if she actually managed to make her life easier.

"You know, life is very difficult to live. But I believe, you can definitely make things better because you're a smart person and you have the ability. Forget about your wishes because I've become Victor even though it's not perfect as you want. I want to accompany you now for the rest of the life you will live and forever you will remain mine."

Berliana did not care about the robot's words, because she decided to eat and enjoy the food. All of Victor's memories were still locked up tightly in her heart and nothing she threw away. Maybe in this world there would be no one who could replace Victor but she also knew that life was still going on and she couldn't mess around with everything she was trying to do.

"Live your life well, you have a lot of future and opportunities to make things the way you want."

Berliana looked at the robot Victor who was in front of her and was doing some housework. The robot was just as diligent as Victor, still willing to do chores and help her tidy up the house. Berliana didn't realize that he had been active for several days, as seen in the CCTV Victor's robot was actually on and had left the room several times without her noticing.

The robot was much more intelligent than her but as long as the covenant sector followed whatever he said, it was easier for her to understand that all of this was something that made sense.

"If he dares to refuse my orders I will not be so quick to have him destroyed. I can still channel Victor's memories to the other robots but he can't play me like this. I have to make sure everything goes well and this is the only way. I won't let anyone else try to mess with my will. This is the only way I can keep what I want."

Berliana turned off her tablet and read the book in her hand. She spent her time leisurely today and even bought some food to eat. It was very tiring, but she had promised the president and the government and the citizens that she would realize the human robot soon.

"Miss Berliana, I have something to say can we meet?"

Berliana looked at the message that appeared on her cell phone screen, it was from the man she had asked to keep an eye on Jeff so she immediately set up a meeting at a cafe not too far away.

"Why?"

"Mr. Jeff hasn't moved much over the past few days but he's gathered people who seem to be enough to keep his position safe within the company as well as the research office. He also contacted a lot of people in the government and seemed to be asking for more support to keep him from falling. The last few nights he had dinner with many people in turn and those people all had positions in the government.

"She didn't mess with the project, and she didn't even interfere much in the process of making the human robot that Miss is working on. But from her strange and somewhat unreasonable ways now, Miss should be able to understand what exactly she wants to do. Approaching people with positions in the government, there should only be two missions she was trying to accomplish. With her current status as the head of a human robot research and development organization, it shouldn't be difficult for people to agree to whatever invitation she makes."

Berliana paused, staring outside the cafe where not many people were passing by.

"There are only two things he's working on right now, either he wants to jump up and become someone higher than where he is now. Or, she wants to make things go well first and then destroy them when she gets to the top. These two days are still unclear because if this was a very high and important mission she would have kept it a secret from everyone who might leak it to me. I'm not at all close to the men who are close to him and work for him. This is probably going to be something serious and I need to understand it from now on so that I don't miss out."

The subordinate nodded. "There's always been some kind of disturbance made by their family. For example, uncle, when the time comes for the mayoral election to get a new leader, then a few days before the election is officially held, they make trouble. If the opposing candidate suddenly resigned then suddenly disappeared. Until now all the cases are even closed and can't be found, there are so many conspiracies made by Jeff's family so most likely it was also done by Jeff because he learned from his uncle," he said making Berliana sigh.

She knew that things were really strange but she believed it would get better. It would be easier to understand, if that was how Jeff's family worked then there were a few things he could use as evidence.

"The important thing is that right now our project is still safe and the government still has full confidence. The rest of what he will do then we will see later. In a few days I will probably ask for a meeting with the president to discuss some things related to the project and maybe I will ask him directly is the time. Asking about those unfinished cases that disappeared from circulation, I once knew everything on understanding how my opponent works."

The subordinate nodded and smiled. "I work with Miss and will be loyal in this matter because I know that I am on the right path. Evil can never win and that is an absolute in this world. In the future, I will need your help more, to make things work," she said, making Berliana smile.

"Keep watching her, don't get caught. If we find more evidence, it will be easier for us to tackle them. There will be no more crimes like now when it comes to taking down opponents. If he doesn't have the ability and doesn't have anything to budget, they won't do anything more than this. The family will also lose power and that should be enough to make them stop."

The subordinate nodded and smiled. "I will be careful and find as much evidence as possible. It's enough that they are destroying this country."
