Chapter 21

Berliana looked at Victor's face in front of her. As soon as she returned home she was face to face with this man, making her sigh softly.

"What else are you going to do now?" he asked with a serious face.

"Why are you looking at me like I'm going to commit a crime against you? I'm your girlfriend, you're mine. You shouldn't act like someone who holds a grudge against me."

Berliana knew that this robot was probably being contaminated by her words so far. It wouldn't bring a good answer if he kept asking questions without checking first. She knew that something must have happened to cause Victor's robot to experience a slight difference and make him move on his own.

However, she was afraid that whatever this man was doing would create problems for himself. Because now what he was worried about was Victor's robot losing control and if other people found out this was his robot, how would he clarify to the people and the government who were worried about the human robot project he was working on?

"Can you stop acting up? I can't be sure what you'll do because you have your own thoughts and desires. Can you not do things that are dangerous for me?"

Robot Victor smiled softly, his style and demeanor were not at all robot-like and it made Berliana feel worried.

"I already obeyed and didn't leave this house according to your wishes, what are you so afraid of?"

Berliana took a deep breath. "Right now is not the right circumstance to show that you're out of my control because I'm trying to get the attention of the government and society to be able to develop a human robot project. You know that it's useful for you too, right? It's useful for you and it could also be a way for you to get out of this trap. If I succeed you can get out of this house and live a life like a normal human. Why don't you be patient and go out on your own?"

Berliana looked at him expectantly, hoping that Victor wouldn't do anything to ruin his mission.

"I'm not going to do anything and I'm just going to move around inside this house without going out at all. I'm just a robot but I'm not as stupid as you think. I know that there are many things that you are working on for me and I can't just destroy them. You shouldn't feel too anxious because I'm doing all of this for good and for you too because I know that you're lonely. Think of me as someone who will keep you company just like you have a relationship with your friend and you want to be with him in the same house.

"But the difference is that in this case you are my girlfriend, Berliana. I won't get you into trouble and I'll always think about what I can't think about. You know that I won't cause you any trouble just like the late Victor that you always longed for. I know what I can do and what I can't and I won't cause you any trouble because I know that it won't get done without you solving it. I'm also a robot and I'm under your control, don't you still have all the algorithms and system statistics that I'm accessing right now? What are you worried about?"

Berliana paused because it was true, she did own the system and also controlled the system of the male robot in front of her. But her worries about the robot losing control remained a problem, Berliana did not want it to become a reality.

"Don't worry, I also don't want to get caught by someone else for wandering around and doing something that would harm you. That would not only harm you but harm me so you don't have to worry too much. I know what to do so focus on developing the project and what you're currently working on, there's no need to worry about me because I'll take care of myself and keep everything in line with what you want. I won't make any trouble, I promise. You can do the project with peace of mind and I won't do anything out of the ordinary either."

Berliana sighed and took an object from her bag. "I made this after selecting some workers who will start working on the human robot project. It's a stun sensor, I don't intend to hurt you but it won't be able to hurt you at all. So I would like to say that if you do promise, promise not to jeopardize my life, get you caught, make you cause trouble and you won't be out of my control, what let me install this device inside your body cable to make sure.

"This device will have a sensor and an automatic shock if you break the promise you made to me. It will shock you in the cruelest way possible and you will not be able to escape. Wherever you are I will find you in a disabled or dead state, you will not be able to escape from me even if you are in coalition with evil people. If you are willing, it is a proof that you are still under my control but if you are not willing, I can exterminate you now by making everything."

Berliana's face was so serious saying it made the robot Victor smile softly.

"Didn't you used to trust the real Victor? Why do you seem to distrust me now?"

"The real Victor even abandoned me, making me live in hardship all these years. How can I trust a robot when the real one never cared about me and just left me in this world. I still need something that makes me trust and calm because otherwise it is tantamount to causing destruction for me because you must have something that intends to destroy my life."

The two of them looked at each other with a serious gaze. Berliana, who was deadly in love with Victor, could not possibly trust a robot who claimed to have memories and what Victor had done so far. Of course Berliana didn't want to take any risks because if she was too late it would all be for nothing and she didn't dare to do anything more because everything had to be appreciated sooner or later.

Berliana wouldn't have a second because now the problem was the present and if she couldn't hold it together now then it would be a waste of everything she had done. She didn't want anything to destroy her dreams even though they were now a little too horrible for her to imagine if she found a robot Victor even beyond her control.

"You are my creator and I know you can't do anything more than this to me. I can't possibly hurt you either because I have Victor's memories that will still think of you as my girlfriend and lover, Berliana. You can put that stun sensor on me if I make a mistake then it won't get away from me. You don't have to worry about anything because I happily intend to be the one who will accompany you and it will be like that forever."

Berliana was actually a little touched by the words that Victor had said but she could not be careless. She had responsibilities and she had big dreams of normalizing the existence of robots in society. Now all her dreams were almost accomplished and she had to feel to make everything fit into what she was working towards.

She likes the attention and wishes given by Victor and Victor's robot but she also can't help but do it now. For his own sake, he had to try to make things go well to make things better.

"After this I hope that you won't be lonely anymore either. Do that to me and you will find me just the way you want because I am the embodiment of your hopes and dreams. I am not a bad person, I am not a bad robot and I will always make you believe that."

Berliana gripped the object in her hand tightly and sighed. "After dinner tonight, come with me to my research room to do the installation."

Victor's robot smiled and nodded. Now that Victor had agreed and he also had to make things better, in the future he probably wouldn't care what this man did because he knew his current situation was different from what he was worried about.

"Hopefully there won't be any mistakes, hopefully he won't commit any crimes and cause trouble for me. I can't imagine if the whole world knows that I can't control him even though I can control him now but who knows later."

Berliana pressed and convinced her heart well, she had to do this for the good of all. There was only one small mistake How could she let it be the destroyer of a dream that had been planted for years?

"I have to make everything fit, I can't allow any interference. I've studied for years to build robots and this reputation is something that is very important to me now."
