Chapter 23

Berliana who heard that finally fell silent. She did have the intention to approach the President but now was not the right time because she also didn't have much evidence to bring down Jeff's family. But she also had no intention of approaching the president just because she wanted to bring down Jeff's family so it was better for her to get closer first and gain the president's trust before doing anything further.

"Then when the time comes and I'm sure we'll talk about it again. For now, let's make sure that everything goes well and that the workers can receive all the discussions and lessons well. Because they are the ones who will be working with this and of course it will not be easy for them to accept it in the near future. We need very serious training so as not to violate what we have prepared."

They all nodded and agreed to Berliana's words until now everyone was busy working and taking care of what was needed. The research room and the building where the human robots were made were busy. They had just moved into the company building prepared by the government so Berliana now had a new room specifically for her.

"These are the materials that we will study when it is time to discuss what is needed. Of course the head of the workers' group has to learn more than what they know because this will be useful. After this, we will make everything more reasonable and then we will finish the business. Every week or every month after they finish the stages made, we must first master the project that will be launched next. For example, headbuilding, we have to finish everything earlier so that we can get a stronger understanding than the workers we mentor. Because this will be useful and make us look better as leaders.

"Every day, I will supervise everything you do and take care of so that it is easier to make and organize what is arranged. I won't make the problem bigger because it will be useful. We'll make sure everything goes well and finishes on time as requested by the government, this project is easier because I've already mastered and made it in America so we're not really making it from scratch. We're just building on what's already there because I've mastered everything inside out. After this, hopefully, no mistakes will be made because it is quite fatal including the part of connecting the cables and making the system move and operate the way we want it to."

The busy days continued for the next few days. They were all talking about what they wanted and that also made things work the way they needed them to. Meanwhile, they also knew that they would not be able to make things work the way they wanted. Of course it would cause serious problems because it would be the most important thing.

Berliana fell asleep on her desk because she was tired after several days of completing stage after stage but had not yet reached the top. In the room where she worked, she was too tired to rest. She didn't even go home because she was so tired but luckily she woke up at 11:00 p.m. and looked around at the quiet surroundings.

"I overslept..." Berliana suppressed her saliva and took a drink of water from the table.

Pensive in her place with a tired-looking face, Berliana was still determined to make things happen. Everything still had to go well and she still had to work on it. Because otherwise she would get into trouble and it wouldn't necessarily end well.

"I can definitely make things easier. Hopefully there won't be too much trouble."

Rising from her seat there were many worries in her head but Berliana was confident that everything could be solved well. For the past few days Victor's robot had not made any mistakes. It had stayed where it was for the past few days and that made her feel more relieved.

"I'm sure it will go well, everything will be fine. If Robot Victor can control then I can control all the robots that are being worked on."

Berliana decided to go home as she was feeling tired and luckily there were not too many obstacles on the way. There were a few people passing by just like her but they didn't do anything to her like she was worried about. There were very few crimes in this city and even if there were they were big cases that required the government to intervene.

She arrived home and had just opened the door when she noticed movement inside her house. Peeking in, her eyeballs rounded as she realized that it was Victor who was back in the house.

"He's active? Who activated it?"

Berliana panicked briefly but the robot was her creation so she had to face it bravely. He gave her a serious look before finally opening the door and when Berliana entered the robot immediately froze in place then turned to Berliana who was already staring at him with a focused gaze.

"Who has reactivated you?" asked Berliana with a flat face that made Victor's robot stiffen.

But just for a moment, he walked over to Berliana who immediately closed the door and locked it for fear that an outsider would see even though the atmosphere was very quiet.

"I was worried about you and you just got home, where have you been?"

Berliana's chest throbbed at the question but she swallowed and tried to pull herself together.

"Victor Valdes, you have to answer my questions! Who is doing this to you? What are you doing?"

Victor looked at him with such an innocent face but there were so many things he was holding back in his heart.

"Why did you never trust me until you sealed me up again and made me immobilized for a few days? You created me and that's the same as me thinking of you as my family. I can't do any harm or wrong to you so you don't have to worry. I am only active to seek your company and will not do anything more than that. Why don't you believe me?"

Berliana massaged her dizzy head. She didn't know what had happened to this robot especially since she was tired and unable to think. Leaving this robot active would really keep it safe? Berliana had a hard time understanding and making things better, so she seemed to take a breath and looked at the robot's face seriously.

"Are you really going to stay still and not make any mistakes that put me in danger?" asked Berliana as she found the robot approaching her with a glass of water.

Robot Victor looked at her, then sighed softly. Berliana sighed again as she realized that Victor was one of the most perfect robots she had ever created.

His style was just like a human's and that worried her even though she was proud to have gotten this far. She hadn't expected things to go so smoothly but at the end of it all, Victor's robot showed her something different from what she wanted.

"You know what? In the world of robots there is something that humans don't really understand. Have you ever heard of a story about a robot that was created and he will not do anything except what his maker tells him to do. Even in some cases, he deliberately does nothing and will never obey others because he knows others are not his creators."

"That's fiction, I can't believe it. The world of robots and technology is now more developed and it makes it easier for reality to destroy what is being attempted. You can't equate that with what I'm worried about. I have enemies in my world of work right now and it's something I have to watch out for so I don't make any mistakes. So I hope, don't do anything and go back to where you were until the time I determine."

"I won't."

No matter how frustrated Berliana looked, Victor's robot looked so serious in refusing her request.

"A robot will not refuse anything that its creator wants but I have my own desire to take care of you. Don't worry, I have a wish but I will never oppose you more than this. I just want to take care of you, won't do anything wrong and won't create the fear that you are worried about. I seriously want to take care of you and create whatever you want, I won't make any mistakes. I hope you don't do anything that makes me feel hurt."

Berliana really couldn't understand what the robot was saying but she knew that everything was really going the way Victor wanted. She could see that the robot's desire and seriousness was very great, if he continued to insist there would only be destruction.

"Prove you won't create problems for me. I'll let you stay active for the next few days and if you make a mistake just once and put me in danger then I'll melt you down. No matter how much I love Victor, all I care about now is how I can keep you safe and the humans safe. The country is in a state of population crisis and I will not let you threaten it. After this I hope you can be calmer and not create any problems."

Robot Victor smiled at his words. "You will find me in your favor and I will not do anything wrong."

Berliana looked at him then took a breath and got up from her seat. "I'm going to bed so you don't have to bother me, after this I'll make things safer and won't cause any intersections like you want."

Victor's robot moved and helped her walk by holding her hand.

"Don't bother me with your touches because I don't want to, even though you are smart in my image but you are still a robot and I can't do anything further with you."

There was no reply as Victor sat her down on the bed and looked at her seriously. Berliana knew that the robot would obey her so she decided to open her study and lay down before wrapping herself up.

Feeling a gentle rub on her head, she knew that it was something Victor was doing so she just stayed still and turned her head. The robot seemed to show her a gentle smile, like something he was used to and it was enough to make Berliana close her eyes and actually fall asleep.

"I hope nothing goes wrong because I really wish nothing but good for this country."

The robot Victor who was still awake looked at the girl's soft face. "I know you want to keep Victor's memory alive so put all those memories into my head and into the system that allows me to live. I will take care of you and you are forever my girlfriend, Berliana. I won't let you be alone and down like someone who never feels happy. I'll make you feel as happy as you want and I know all the ways to do that so you don't have to worry. I won't do what you don't want and everything you want now is all yours."

The night was getting late and Berliana was sleeping peacefully. It was like there was a tranquilizer provided by the robot nearby because she didn't feel anxious about anything that would happen in the future.
