Chapter 24 The Other Half

Meanwhile on Mirana's place
"Marco? You here?" I shouted as I entered the living room but no one responded, it seemed quiet.
I climb stairs if he's in there and no Marco anxiety rises on me and I look at his closets.
"All his clothes were here," as I looked at his clothes and his things, my eyes landed on the brown envelope. I pulled it out. I knew I shouldn't intervene in his things but I was just curious about it.
I slowly opened the envelope and was surprised by the paper that had come up to me but could not read it too much because it looked like it was spilled by a coffee.

MARINA
"Love wake up we're here now," Adam tapped me and I slowly opened my eyes and see the surroundings.
"Were here now, love you ready?" he asked and I just smiled at him. He got out of the car and opened the door for me.
"Thank you," I smiled and he held my hand.
"Did you sleep well?" I nod and he chuckled.
"I couldn't believe that you were moaning in the middle of your sleep," he said and pinched the bridge of my nose causing me to giggle.
"Wait," I said and he looks at me.
"Don't worry they'll love you and you're beautiful today," he said and placed a kiss on my cheeks.
"They're waiting," he added and we started to walk.
The house was like a mansion, a beautiful mansion that speaks wealth and elegance, everything that decorated the house looked expensive. The garden was so beautiful and refreshing in the eyes. We were now standing in the living room while I'm busy roaming my eyes in my surroundings.
"Adam!" a woman shouted upstairs causing me to look at her. She's so beautiful she smiled at us adoringly till she is in front of us.
"Mom she's the one," Adam said and my heart melted as I heard him say I'm the one.
"Love she's my beautiful mother Lucia," he added.
Her mother looked at me and I felt nervous her smile fades as she looks at me. Adam squeezes my hand because he knows that I'm nervous and he was somewhat comforting me by holding my hands.
"Ohhhh! What a beautiful lady!! She will bear my beautiful grandchild! Welcome to the family iha," she said and embraced me with a hug and I returned the gesture.
"Nice to meet you, Ma'am," I said between our hug and she pulled out.
"Silly darling call me Mommy please I have no daughter at all. Call me mommy, momsi, anything you want but I want you to call me Mommy," she said hyper and I can't help myself to smile at her.
"Okay Mommy," I said shyly and she again embraced me with a hug.
"Are you trying to kill her with your tight hug?" a man suddenly appeared and he looked like the appearance of Adam, his eyes and his warm smile.
"Dad! This is Marina, my wife," Adam introduced me to his father and he looks at me with a warm smile.
"Nice to meet you, welcome to the family. Freniere's doesn't fail in choosing a woman, what a beautiful young lady you got a son!" his father said and I felt my cheeks go red.
"Ohhhh you grumpy old man!" his mother said to the father of Adam.
"I love you too," his father said to his mother. They look adorable.
"This is my father Sebastian," Adam introduced me to his father. I extended my hand to shake him but instead he embraced me with a hug too.
"Call me Dad iha, you are now part of the family," he said before pulling out.
"Ummm I don't want to rush you up but I only want 5 grandchildren we are not getting younger anymore," he said and Adam chuckled.
"Ohhh yes dear," his mother said agreeing on the statement of his father
"We're working with that," Adam answered and I blush.
"Oh come now I'll prepare the food that I cooked. You, Adam, show her the house," his mother said and Adam just laughed while his father rolled his eyes Adam got the characteristics of his father.
"And you old man came with me," she added and he groaned jokingly.
"Adam kindly call your brother if he's already going here," she added and Adam nods. I squeezed his hand and looked like he knew what I meant. I don't know that he has a brother he didn't even bring it up.
We are now in his room and his room is so manly I can also smell his minty scent. The room was big enough for only a person and everything was perfectly in the place and clean.
"Here's my room love, take a rest first," he said and he walked to the bathroom when I called him up.
"Adam," I called softly and he turned his head.
"What love?" he asked and he was so damn handsome in this view God was distracting me.
"Who-who's your brother?" I asked.
"Why didn't you tell me that you had a brother?" I added and he walks slowly in my direction.
He holds my hands and gently squeezes it.
"Sorry love for not bringing it up to you, maybe we could sit so we can talk-" I cut him out.
"We can talk here," I said and he let out of breath.
"My brother is Marco-" he said briefly.
"What?" I said surprisingly.
"Let me finish first okay?" he said and I held myself and nodded at him saying to continue.
"Marco is my step-brother who is my dad's son. Yes, you heard it right, dad had a son with another woman before he met mom. Marco is now part of the family ", he explained and I just look at him.
"So he knows that-" I said and he cut me off.
"Our school is different, so we didn't know what was going on between us but now he confesses to me all the things that happened between him and your sister Mirana", he answered and I was out of words till a question popped out of my mind.
"The father of my sister's child right?" I asked and he nodded and I let out of relief.
"Marco is a good guy, love, nothing to worry. I know they can solve what problem they have," he said and I smiled.

Meanwhile in Adam's mind.
I explained to Marina everything and I think she understands all that I had said.
I was very happy and Marina came into my life and I don't want to lose her but I have already decided on what my father had said. I'll go and pursue my dreams. I know she can understand me and I wish she could wait for me. I'll promise her that she will be my wife, my love, my everything and the mother of our children.
I was just finding the right time to tell her that I wish she'll let me.
