Chapter 28 Come Back?

MARINA
Being a chef is a hard dream for me because I have no experience at all. So I started to work at a Restaurant called Mariah's Paradise, thankful that I know who the owner is and I easily got hired.
At first, it was very difficult to get to work because I had to crawl to my own feet. I have no source of income for my needs here in Australia. I chose it and I had to stand up.
"Daughn we have some great guests coming here and I want you to accompany them. This will add your confidence dear and please can you?" Mariah asked me while smiling at me lovingly. She's the owner of this famous restaurant here in Australia, she's a wealthy woman but she stays humble in all the people around here and that's why I love her.
"Yes mam, it's a pleasure that you have chosen me," I answered as I bow my head but I was surprised when she lifted my chin and smiled at me adoringly.
"You're the one that I would be thankful to have such a sweetheart. Okay so better prepare yourself now for tonight. You may leave now and take a rest and come back here before 5, okay dear?" she stated as she gave me a red box that I frowned.
"What is this mam?" I asked curiously as I eyed the box.
"Marina, I'll be honest now I'm not good at lying," she let out a giggle.
"Our guest wants you to go with them and they have given this to you. And one of them is the most eligible bachelor in Asia and he's famous," she cut off when someone called her cell phone I wish I could stop her to continue her statement.
"Excuse me Marina but I have to take this important call. See you later and please wear that. Thank you," and with that, she left.
So I guess it's time for me to leave and take a nap before preparing myself for tonight. I don't know why I was chosen, I'm just new to it and I'm sure there are many better things to do here for interacting with and interacting with other people.
But whatever it is I pray that I will not fail because I will be disgraced and put in charge.
I left the restaurant when I felt that there was a pair of eyes watching me so I roamed my eyes to the crowded people and I found nothing suspicious too. I hold firmly the red box as I wave for a taxi, I barely need time to take a nap and relax my muscles for now.

ADAM'S POV
I am silently watching her above here and I know she felt something wrong as she roams her eyes in the crowd searching for me. My heart skips a beat when I see her beautiful face, she never changes.
I hated myself for being such a jerk she supported me in my dreams. She even supported being an actor and I didn't even give it any importance, I didn't even call her or even text her even small efforts I didn't give a damn. I am so selfish all the way because she supported me.
I hope that she still loves me until now I want her back, I want her back in my life and be tied to her.
Tonight I'll meet her.

LUCIA
I am deeply saddened that their relationship should lead to such a situation. I admit that Adam is the one that I should be mad at but I hope that they'll be back together, I hope that Marina and Adam would not give up.
I love Marina so much that I almost look like a daughter because I don't have a daughter so maybe I love her. Every time we watch TV she's always happy to see Adam on the screen and she always watches him.
Till one day she saw the interview of Adam in the media and I too saw it and heard it clearly from what Adam said in the media that makes my heart ache for Marina. I know that even though her back faces me, I know that she's crying while holding her ring that Adam gave.
And when Adam got home anger rose on me but I couldn't help it. I didn't speak to him all day until he confronted me and I saw him cry in front of me. This is the first time that I saw him cry, he doesn't cry and now he's crying over Marina. And he wanted to find her and get her back into his life.
Before Marina left she told me not to tell Adam where she was going but I couldn't help but not tell Adam where Marina was because I still wanted them to last.
I grabbed my phone out and dialed the number of her. In just a third ring she answered it.
"Hello?" she responded groggily.
"Did I disturb you from your sleep dear? I can call you later," I said but she refused.
"Not at all. I'm just awake because I have to prepare for tonight's guests," she said, feeling a little down.
"Don't be so tired of yourself," I said motherly.
"And by the way, Adam is back," I said and she remained silent.
"Marina are you still there?" I ask as a minute passes by.
"Yes, mom I'm still here. How is he?" she asked and that's what I love about her, she still cares.
"He's doing well and he said-" I was cut out of my words when she says something that I didn't hear clearly.
"What's that dear?"
"I should prepare myself now Mom because I need to go to the restaurant. I'm sorry and I have to say goodbye but I promise to call you, hello to dad too," she said and let out a deep sigh as we bid our goodbyes.
"Okay dear, take care of yourself bye."
I am still in hope that everything will be back the way it should be.
"Ohhh I wish Adam would come back," I whispered in the thin air as I placed my phone on the table and took a seat in the metal chair while the wind brushed the hair in my cheeks.
