Just as I was leaving the house my phone rang and it was a familiar name ,hello she said softly her voice seeping into my brain like poison as I pushed my self to reply her back.

I knew she never called for no good reason,she is calling because if the news,I know a lot of people will call ,Sofia is one whom I can't reject her call ,not every day you get a call from the queen of New York.

"Good morning Sofia " I said ,trying to sound pleasant with my face smeared with tears and my act unmatched.

"This news about you not being a dale will go away I assure you queenie but in return I want something .

My heart was already sinking ,I have not yet repaid the favor of her making my husband the new ceo and now she wants to do me another favor, this witch doesn't know when to stop deos she .

I sigh and then reply ,don't worry about it I can handle this on my own ,"it might not be easy like every other thing but this will pass too ,and I will need my favours for more important things I say yo myself .

Are you sure you can. I would not want this to affect our business arrangements, I don't want those snoopy reporters ........

I know you will,you know you must ,she hangs up and then I sigh,I rub my hand against my temple after dropping the phone. while holding the steering with one hand I picked the phone again and dialed Christine's number and then I stopped .

It was reflex ,I should learn to rely more on my self I spoke out loud .

Christine would not have done anything but she would have advised me and I need a ton of advice right now .

I stepped on the gas ,so I can get to my parents house in time. I needed to be there before the reporters ,I needed to be there before my mom would be able to make a speech.

My dad could restrain her but it would be easier if I was there. She was like a bomb each time looking for new ways to explode , now she could make all about her .

Arriving at my father's Mansion I saw the gate filled with reporters ,they gathered like flies on poo sticking to the gate as the flash of thier cameras eagerly blinked to find every crumble of information they could muster.


They rushed to my car as the say me come close blocking the entrance, I was thankful my car was tinted ,you could not see through it from the outside one bit. But I could see clearly .

And I saw them push one another snapping my car and asking questions no 9ne will answer .

I picked Mt dark googles and put them on just in case and then I pressed on the gas a bit so they would move away ,the security tried to shove them to the side so I would be able to pass.

It took a while but I got in and drove to the parking lot ,I tied a scarf around my face and adjusted my goggles before dropping off the car.

The door opened before I knocked and My family's butler Cody flashed a smile while saying "welcome home little miss."

He has been with us for long and he never said more than one sentence each time we met.

I don't think he ever did anything more than do my father's bidding .

And I guess the main reason he kept his job was because of his nature, he gad stayed with us for all my life .

My mom opened her hands to me as I walked in and I fell into her embrace .

She rubbed her hand down my back and for a moment I felt at peace ,I felt the whole world gad fallen silent .

Until she pulled me out to ask me how I was,she asked after the baby before I finished my sentence and I knew just tgen,I understood why she was being emotional towards me now ,it was because I was pregnant .


But I had to accept it,I have to accept she cared.

How is my angel doing today I hear my father as as his arms are spread open too,now I break down ,i let my tears run free and then I open my mouth to speak .

Don't worry about what you saw earlier in the news ,you are my daughter and nobody can change that ,all I know is I love you my dear and that is all you should know too.

Don't worry yourself about what is on the news ,it is all cheap gossip and you my dear cannot be pulled down by gossip .

Why then did the board remove me when I chose to marry Arnold?

His face turned dark as he moved away and sat on the sofa ,come dear come and seat with me .

It began simply as a rumor and when it got to me the board had all made thier decision, you know I am not the majority shareholder,I am just the chairman and the vote of the board had kept me I place as a figurehead .

Not when your husband is more connected to the people who run this city ,I can't really do much ,you know they will not allow Me to,she will not allow me to .
