SOFIA’S POV

Leaving his office I checked my phone and dial back Damian, he had been the one calling me, walking past Ella , I noticed her eyes following me, I glanced at her and then, I turned and headed for the elevator once I noticed her face on her desktop screen.

She could be suspicious but i know there was no way she would know what i and her boss had been up to. Damian refused to pick the call, I know he is pissed, he never allows you to miss his call especially when the sun has risen.
Downstairs I noticed the chairman of hangu group, another big name, i was in a hurry, i didn't stop and exchange pleasantries.

I make my way to the car and Lobo drives me straight to the house of the boss, I arrive there and I see cars all parked around. Two days are over and Rico will face judgment for his crimes today and my name will be cleared.

The silence continued until I found a place and sat, then Damian king continued,”as i was saying , rico has been found to have sabotaged some of our business and he is to pay for his crimes if he has no defense against this accusation.

"As you all know , i hold the final say, but a fair trial he will get in respect to his days of service.
You may tell everyone here what you told me, bring out your evidence and show them.

He said his eyes cold as ever now on my body, i stand up and check the inner pocket of my suit and take out a drive and attach it to the system on the table, and as i play the video it projects on a larger screen behind damian, who sits still and doesn't turn to watch the footage.

Once again silence held the room until the footage ended, the eyes turned to me and I began, zooming in on the faces of the culprits and then the parts of their tattoos which were exposed.


These are all rico’s men and the tattoo shows they are part of our henchmen, if they were not given a direct order from their boss rico here , the shipment will still be intact, and for that i demand this honorable table grants me my pound of flesh.

I conclude before sitting down, my eyes and rico’s meet and i see his face for the first time since my last visit to his hotel. He seemed deprived of sleep.

Rico what do you have to say for yourself, Damian's voice echoes in its deep rhythmic tone and rico stands and then he says" I plead the mercy of the table." in a solemn tone.
Faces turn and as the men glance to one another , with nobody saying anything.
Damian stands up and then he speaks," since this case is an easy one , I will leave you to Sofia to decide his punishment."
Murmurs begin to rise and Damian sits back down and watch everyone , then I ask him, "rico before I continue, would you like to say why he did what you did?"

His lips pursed and then his eyes fall to his lap and then I continued with a sigh , then I will have to ask you because of the favors you have done in recent years of service to do a few favors for me and all will be forgiven.
"You will have to give me something and when your four favors are complete i will give you back in the presence of the council."

"What do you demand?
"A blood seal," I stated.
Everyone turns to Rico who announces his cooperation, he knows the law. If he denies me he will have to pay in other ways , which might demand bloodshed and I have given him mercy , I have given him a way out.
I do not trust Rico just as I do not trust anyone seated here but I felt better having him close than away, having him alive rather than dead, and knowing whoever holds your blood seal is your responsibility until the blood seal is completed.

"Since you both have agreed, then we have no use in wasting more time , this meeting has come to close, you both should see me about the blood seal and he stands up and walks towards the door ," the rest began to murmur again and this time their voices grow louder and clearer as damian leave.

"I hear a voice from behind me you are growing soft sofia, you should never show mercy when you can take out an enemy,”

"You are one to talk to. A few minutes ago, I could hear the little bitch in you begging me to save your ass," I told him with a smirk.
rico is never serious but riht now he is, he looks defferent when he tells me.

I really want to ask him now, I want to know who i the enemy he was talking about but I could not talk here, where eyes and ears sought no rest.

I follow him out the door, rico walks briskly to the old office, when i reach there he was seated with tea in front of him, damian busy looking for something in a cabinet, he pulled it out and we both left our fingerprint on the red paper that smelt like fresh wood.
He tore a piece out and handed it to me and then he said, when it is all done , you two will come back here and clear it.

There will be no word of this anywhere else, she calls you to comply, he fails to answer, you talk to the table and we fix the issue.”

“You may both leave now,'' he says,reclining in his seat.
We all know he rules but ‘the boss, Damian king repeats everything, everytime like a dutiful father and never hesitates to kill any disobedient child.
