CHAPTER 30

Selena moved closely to her and she whispered in her ear for a while. To be honest she was shocked by what she just heard but it wasn’t a bad idea after all.
“That is the best idea that you have come up with. I will definitely do it as soon as possible and I will let you know of the outcome,” Vivian promised with a smile.
She couldn’t wait to see this plan in effect. She just prayed that it will work.
“Just don’t overdo it,” Selena said but it fell onto deaf ears.
“I will treat you to pizza if it comes well,” Vivian promised her friend and Selena looked at her.
“Are you saying that you won’t treat me to one if it doesn’t work?”
“No, it’s not like that; come on girl!” Vivian sulked and Selena laughed at her.
She had ways of making her feel at ease with ways she couldn’t imagine but she love Selena the same. She was the world’s greatest best friend ever.
The plan was crazy but she knew for sure that if she implements it, it might really work or not. She didn’t know what to expect but it was better than giving up.
“Are you sure that you can wear something this small?” Selena asked as she looked at the red mini dress she had just picked.
‘It is not that small; don’t tell me you haven’t worn something this short before?” Vivian asked Selena shocked by the revelation that Selena had never worn something like this before.
“No, I haven’t and I doubt that Sean will allow me to wear that outside of our house,” Selena answered blushing. Vivian smiled at her friend, those tow were really in love.
She remembered how her friend’s husband had been treating her lately ever since he found out about her pregnancy. She didn’t know that men were capable of caring for someone like that; even her brother couldn’t beat Sean at all.
“Okay, I will get you one like this and wear it for only Sean’s eyes,” Vivian said as she picked a white dress for her friend.
“You don’t have to, I have clothes at home,” Selena protested but she ignored her.
The two continued with their shopping until Vivian had purchased everything that she needed for her grand plan to work. Because the clock was ticking, Vivian had to drop Selena back at her house before Sean starts calling.
“I will see you on Monday at school but call me and tell me the updates,” Selena said as she got out of the car.
“I will do so, I hope that it will work,” Vivian said worried.
“Let’s hope so. Now go, talk to you later,” Selena said and walked into the compound.
Vivian drove off her car and drove straight back to her house. When she arrived she took her time changing into the dress she had prepared for that night. She applied make up on her face and when she was done, she took a couple of selfies and uploaded them on her Instagram account.
When she was satisfied with herself she went downstairs where she met her mother who just gawked at her.
“Baby where are you going all dressed up like this?” her mother asked and she walked towards her and hugged her.
“There is a party and I will be attending so I might be coming back a bit late. Will you tell Victor to come and pick me up later?”
“If Victor will come then I will be at ease, go and have fun then,” her mother agreed and she smiled at her.
“Thank you, I will take my leave,” she said and left the house.
The driver took her to the club she had decided to go and have some fun in. she was going to make him regret for hurting her like that.

Edward was in his office when he saw the pictures that Vivian, his best friend’s little sister had uploaded on her Instagram account. What was she playing at dressing up like that?
He had watched this kid growing up and watched her all the way. She was like a sister to him and the fact that she loved him just took him by surprise. He had never dated kids before and yet to be with his best friend’s baby sister was just so wrong.
He kept scrolling down the photos and the more he did the angrier he got. It was weird that he was feeling this way but he was an adult, he has to control himself and just forget about the whole mess. As he was in his office, his secretary called and announced that Victor had just arrived.
He was not supposed to meet him that day, so what was his friend doing here? He smiled as Victor walked into the office and he gave him a seat.
“You should have called. What if you came all the way here and I will be gone?” he asked jokingly his friend.
“You love your work more than anything so of course you will be here. What are your plans for dinner tonight?” Victor asked him.
“The usual, just go home and make something. Did you have something in mind?” he asked wondering what his friend was up to.
“Just thought we could go home and have a meal like last time. You know mother really likes you,” Victor said as he grinned.
Edward really knew that but after that night he didn’t have the courage to go back and face anyone. He wondered why Victor wasn’t asking him about that night and it was making him to feel uneasy.
“Why aren’t you asking?” Edward asked Victor.
“What are you talking about?” Victor asked back feigning ignorance.
“It’s about your sister, she confessed to me and I turned her down,” he told Victor but he didn’t react that badly as he expected.
