Chapter 86 - Perfect

***
Heather's POV:

That Tuesday night, Ace made a little party in his apartment. He invited all his closest buddies. Keith, Max, Christian, Jake, etc. I invited Shirley because she was the only one to know about my relationship with Ace. If I invited the others, they might tell Sawyer that I was pregnant. So, I preferred to keep them out of this. Once Ace got the company back and all secrets were out, I would tell them everything.

"Now, all of you here don't know the reason for my celebration," he said, getting everyone's attention.

"Tomorrow you'll get your company back," Max said.

"Yes. But we'll celebrate that after. I have something better to celebrate."

Everyone fidgeted. I felt my face go red and I became nervous.

"What are we celebrating, buddy?" Keith asked, confused.

Ace looked at me and winked. I smiled back, shyly.

"Come here, princess," he stretched out an arm. I shyly walked up to him.
The others stared at us silently. Shirley was already smiling.

"Well, we're celebrating cuz Heather here," he kissed my forehead, "Is pregnant. Y'all know for who."

I watched all of them. Their expressions were priceless. Ace, Shirley and I laughed.

They were all wider eyed and speechless. Keith's mouth had dropped open.

"Are you serious???"

"Never been more serious," Ace chuckled.

"WOAH!!" they shouted at the same time, causing me to jump in surprise.
They were happier than the future father himself. I couldn't help it but laugh. They were so happy they took turns to hug and congratulate us.

"You're gonna be a father??" Jake said with a laugh.

Ace chuckled.

"Apparently."

"I can't believe it! This is great!" Keith stated, "You know what? This deserves some expensive Hennessey! I have a bottle in my apartment. It's an all-night affair! Let me go get it."

"Yessss!" everyone shouted happily as he ran out.

"Yay!" I laughed. I liked Hennessey.
While I laughed, Ace turned to me with a brow raised.

"Uh, why are you Yaying, babe? The only thing you're gonna be drinking is apple juice."

My mouth dropped open and the others laughed at me.

"Why??"

He chuckled.

"Cuz you're now carrying my child. Wouldn't want anything to happen to you or my child and so, go get yourself some juice in the fridge," he teased, chuckling. They laughed again.

"Oh, that's so unfair!" I punched him playfully on the arm.

"The way life goes, Heather," Christian laughed.

I rolled my eyes and laughed.

Keith soon returned with the drink.
That night, the celebration was great. And plus, the next day was gonna be awesome by God's grace, if everything went well.

Ace's POV:

The next morning, I wore my best suit. I was as prepared as ever. The truth was coming out that day. Christina was going to watch me take over. She was going to face me, Sheridan Wesley.

*
Christina's POV:

I'd worn my best outfit that day. With a little hope, Mr Paul might find me attractive. But most of all, I was getting the twenty percent. I would run away with Rob. I'd kept the eighty percent in my office's safe. Once I signed the company away and got the rest, I would leave immediately with the whole. I'd told Rob at what time to come get me. My daughters were big enough to take care of themselves. We would remain in contact though.
I went to Sawyer's office.

"Good morning, mom. Any problem?"

"No, my love. I'm completely selling the company away today, as you know. I want both of you, with your sister to be present. It's a great day for me."

"Uh, okay. Hope it'll be fast. I hate boring meetings."

"It won't be long."

"Can't wait to see what that rich international businessman looks like."

"Me too dear. Me too."

I left her office to go tell Heather the same thing.

"Sure, mom. I'll be present. At what time?" Heather asked.

"At two."

"In your office right?"

"Yeah. Where else?" I chuckled happily and turned to leave, "See ya!"

"Yeah. Bye, mom."

Heather's POV:

If only she knew what awaited her. A catastrophe! She deserved it though.

Ace's POV:

At two pm, Keith, christian and Max entered my office.

"This is it, Ace. You ready?" Keith asked.

"More than ever. Max and I would be watching you guys. And I'll call. We'll come when the time would be right."

"Alright," Christian and Keith left for Christina's office. I felt my heartbeat increase. I was so impatient and happy. Everything was perfect now.

Christina's POV:

I sat in my office with both my daughters standing close to me, ready to receive Keith and Mr Paul. There was a knock at my door and I asked them to enter. I stood up to greet the young men.

"Good morning, gentlemen. Please, sit."

"Good morning, Mrs Welds."

"Where's Mr Paul?"

"He'll be here shortly."

"You work for Mr Paul??" Sawyer and Heather both asked in surprise, referring to Keith.

"Yes, he does. Now both of you shut up while we talk business," I turned to the men.

"Here's your twenty percent," Keith opened his briefcase and I saw shiny money again. I smiled and took it.

"Perfect," I opened my drawer and took out the company's ownership documents, "Here. Who's signing?"

"Mr Paul himself will. He'll soon be here."

At that instant, his phone rang and he picked it up.

"Yes, sir? Okay." he hung up and turned to me, "Mr Paul's already in the building. He'll be here shortly."

I smiled to myself as my heartbeat increased.

"Okay then. Let's wait for him."

After a minute, there was a knock at my door. I almost jumped.
Keith stood and went to open the door. I stared, waiting to see who would appear.

Ace??

"Ace??" Sawyer and I said.

"Good afternoon," he had his hands in his pockets and was smirking.

"Ace, what is it? I have an important personality to welcome here."

He smiled.

"Wow. Flattered. So, where do I sign?"

I stared at him, lost.

"Common in Max, don't stay outside," he told somebody out of the office. The person came in and my heart almost stopped pumping blood.

Sheridan?!

I gasped.

"Good afternoon, ma'am," he said innocently.

My eyes widened and I went pale.

"Sh- Sheridan?? What are you doing here?" I asked, my whole body trembling.

"Sheridan?!" Sawyer asked in shock.
Sheridan looked at us like we were crazy.

"Who? Uh no. You must be mistaken. I'm Max. Max Dooley," he took out an ID and showed us. I was lost.

"This is Max my friend," Ace said. I stared at the so-called Max.

Why did he resemble the young guy I'd met who'd said he was Sheridan? Or was it because it was night time and I didn't see him well? I was scared and confused. Ace approached my table.

"So where do I sign?"

"Here," Keith replied.

What?!

I put my hand on the document.

"Ace, what the fuck are you doing??" I turned to Keith, "Where's Mr Paul??"

"Here he is. But that's not his real name though."

I turned to Ace in confusion.

"Ace, what the hell is going on??"

He smiled.

"Well, I'm buying this company. I've paid you. I used a fake name because If I'd used my real name, you wouldn't have let an employee, succeed you."

He was right.

"I can't let you sign!"

"What? Mom, you need the money," Heather stated.

"Yes, mom. You have debts to pay," Sawyer added.

They were right too. I looked at Ace again. How rich was this kid? And he was wise by not letting me know he was behind this.

"Will you be able to handle a company?" I asked.

"Yes," he replied confidently.

After hesitating for a long time, I took my hand off the document.

"Thank you," he smiled and got a pen. He bent over and I watched him sign. There. He was the sole owner of P.W industries. Both my daughters stared at him, speechless and still surprised.

I stood up to shake hands with him. I couldn't believe it.

"Congratulations, A- Ace."

"Thank you, Christina. It was not a pleasure working for you," he mused, a smirk on his lips.

"Well, I'm sorry you didn't appreciate working for me," I replied, still surprised by the unexpected turn of things.

"It's life," he smiled and his partners chuckled.

I got both briefcases full of money and was about to leave when the office door banged open! And to my shock, standing there with other police officers, was sheriff Bates, from Blueville! He was still alive??

"B- Bates??." I stammered, shocked.

"Long time, aye? Well, Christina Welds, you are under arrest for the murders of Paul Wesley and Kenneth welds. Not to forget for child abuse, maltreatment and starving of Sheridan Wesley. You have the right to rending silent. Everything you say will be held against you in..."

While he spoke, I watched with shock as an officer came over to me, collected the briefcases and pinned my hands behind my back. Putting handcuffs on them. I stared in shock. What was happening?? Was this a bad dream?!
