Chapter 49

Evelyn POV

I stood aside, strength of being a wallflower spark into my magic realms, I sniff a particular scent that brought me to a familiar arrival, Laura? I muttered, as I watched her keenly stumbled to the ground helplessly, her sobbing tone increasing gradually. I glared at her innermost heart, ugh.. got rejected again? She's so unfortunate with her mates, I disguised into my normal figure with charming smile, and gorgeous look, that emboldened the nature of humans.

My gently touch on her brought a new connection, I got feel her tense movement, who are you? She asked raising her gaze fully in me, my eyes fixed on her, broadly inviting. I'm Evelyn, this place is not save for you to lean on, there. Let's seat in a nearby bench and have a little chat.

"No, I don't want to talk to anyone, just let me stay here alone and cry out my pain," she muttered, wiping away her tears-stained face. "Okay, if you insist, I'll just leave you to cry and die alone, huh?" I strolled halfway away from her side when her sharp soprano voice startled me. I stood firmly, "Laura, easy to manipulate," I turned to her, "what now? Have you made your choice to speak up?"

"Yes, I have," she said, gradually standing up. I led the way to the bench, traversing the area. "It's a nice place we have here, anyway. My name is Laura Stevenson, and I am...I am just being sober because I got rejected yesterday, and a fresh reminder of my rejection was plotted today." She concluded, "I would love to take my leave."

My eyes widened in surprise, still holding onto the words she had stuttered out, glimpsing sideways to avoid a mutual gaze with her and prevent myself from blasting out in anger and frustration. It's been months since she left her mate for that stupid Arla, and now I have finally met her.

"Why are you rushing the conversation, Laura? Are you feeling insecure around me?" I asked, trying to sound calm. "I see," I continued, maintaining my composure. "Well, Laura, it's nice running into you. Let's sit down and talk for another hour."

"I can't wait even a second, my apologies. I need to take a nap and forget today's incident, it's creeping into my emotions. I really appreciate your time and listening ear," she said, quickly standing up and stretching out her hand for a handshake. "Let's meet again another day, same place," she said with a smile.

"My Aura of supremacy felt activated, it's been years since I last had such feelings. My yellow eyes flashed a light of acceptance, but I quickly controlled it. 'Laura Stevenson, have a nice day,' I whispered in a husky tone."

I watched as Laura away her, figure disappearing into the crowd. I took a deep breath, trying to calm the storm brewing inside me. My Aura supremacy was still activated, and I could feel it's power causing through my veins.

I closed my eyes, focusing on my breathing. I had to get my emotions under control, I couldn't let my feelings of manipulating Laura into my witches realm. But I stood there, I couldn't shake off the feelings, that she's connected to me and I am connected to her. The bond between us is a strong enough to help me out in some challenging missions.

"Suddenly, I felt a surge to trace her. I quickly walked side to side, avoiding her gaze, and followed her steps for more than thirty minutes. Witches don't get tired easily, so I leaned on a wooden table close to her gate, wondering... she's a student? How in the world did she become a student?"

I watched as Laura walked through the gates sluggishly, She looked so... normal. So human. I couldn't reconcile this image with the Laura I knew, the one who had left her mate for Arla.

I leaned against the table, my mind racing with questions. What was she doing here? How had she managed to enroll in school?

As I stood there, a group of students walked by, chatting and laughing. One of them caught my eye - a tall, dark-haired boy with piercing blue eyes. He looked familiar, but I couldn't quite place him.

Suddenly, he turned and caught my gaze. Our eyes locked, and I felt a jolt of recognition. It was… Frank, I really can figure out which of the Frank, mmmm… he's an alpha, meaning the alpha that rejected Laura, my wolf muttered, but I could feel his eyes still on me. Did he notice something? I raised my brows, smiling sheepishly.

"Good day, ma'am," he said impatiently, staring at me vigilantly. "Are you looking for someone?"

I shook my head, trying to compose myself. "No, not really... I mean, I'm just admiring the school building. I wish my sister was alive to attend it," I said, my eyes welling up with sudden sadness.

The alpha's expression softened, and he nodded sympathetically. "I'm sorry to hear that. Losing a loved one is never easy."

I nodded, feeling a lump form in my throat. "Yeah. It's been tough."

We stood there in silence for a moment, the only sound being the distant chatter of students and the rustling of leaves in the wind.

Then, the alpha spoke up again. "Well, I should probably get going. Nice running into you, though."

I nodded, watching as he turned and walked away. I couldn't help but feel a sense of relief when he left. That was close, is it that his nose is quite not sensitive enough to dictate a witches smell? I glared as he jogged I to the compound, slamming the mighty gate behind him.

Laura Stevenson, I understand, Laura is a naive girl but Frank being her mate is really not fair, Frank's attitude towards people is harsh, I dislike him a lot, I hissed, turning to leave. “I will comeback for Laura.”
