Chapter 46.

**Narrator’s POV.**

“Did you find the address of the Bandhee mansion?”, Gabriel asked Kevin as they got into the rental car. The day had finally come and the night before had seemed slower, purposely torturing them with its minutes that seemed like hours. Eventually, they all got some sleep and once the alarm rang at five a.m., they were all got set and ready to go,

“Yes”, Kevin nodded as Drew pulled out of the motel parking space, “It is just an hour away from here”, Gabriel groaned but nodded- this was going to be the longest hour of his whole life, the space between this hour and the next determined everything and all he thought about was Tessa, he was not going to be side-tracked by anybody. He had to put on his game face.

“Drew, are you FBI buddies showing up?”, he asked the man that was driving the car beside him,

Drew scoffed and he turned on the next curb, “They are the FBI, Gabriel, when there is a crime, they have to be there. Plus, I told them about what we saw and urged them to look into the case file, apparently, it had been shut down by the District Attorney years ago- it seems like a dirty scheme to me”, he said, “Maybe your father paid him off to keep everything quiet?”,

“But he was young then, unsuspecting, why would he need to do that?”, Alex asked from the backseat, he immediately unlocked his phone and went to his search engine, once he found what he was searching for, he looked forward, “Apparently, after the DA closed the case, he was found dead in his home, along with his wife and two kids. A day before, he had received a huge sum of money into his account by an anonymous account but the day he passed away, all his bank accounts were cleared, dad had taken everything”,

“Fuck!”, Kevin exclaimed, “This shit just keeps getting worse and worse. But wait, how are you sure its dad?”, he was praying to whoever was up there that their father had not been the one who murdered the old DA and his family, but Alex was quick to burst that little bubble of hope left within him,

“Shell was from a 1914 2mm Kolibri, the same that killed the Bandhee family in their home”, Alex finished off before placing his phone on vibrate and shoving it into the pocket of his jack, “You guys should set your phone to vibrate”, he suggested, “It’s safer”, they nodded in agreement and did as they were told.

There was silence in the car for a few minutes before Kevin spoke up, “Are we just going to ignore the fact that we’ve been spending blood money all this time or are we okay with that?”,

Gabriel left out a sigh and raked his hands through his already messy hair, “Of course we are not okay with any of that, nothing that is happening right now is okay. Hell, we just found out that our sperm donor is a fucking serial killer but we have to stay focused here and get Tessa away from the killer and maybe bring those poor families he killed justice as well”, he explained to his younger brother, “We can’t let his shit get to us right now”.

“Are you lot sure that you’re okay with this? I mean, this is your father that we’re talking about here, you might feel guilty ratting him out like this, after all, he is your blood”, Drew said with worry laced in his words,

“To hell with blood!”, Gabriel spat, “He had it coming the moment he decided to take my girlfriend away from me. He drew first blood and now he is going to pay for it- there is no escaping this time, I will make sure of it”, he wanted Andrew O’Connell to suffer for all his sins, he wanted him to pay hell and heaven, he wanted to watch his father burn in flames and he was willing to pay anything he could just to watch that happen.

“I agree with Gabriel, the old man has messed up badly and he has to pay the price. We can’t just let him go scot free, that will make us as bad as he is. Plus, I am not ready to be arrested for holding of evidence or knowledge of murder and not speaking out or whatever they call it”, Alex said and Kevin nodded in agreement- they were all more than ready to take their father down.

“So, after this, what comes next?”, Drew asked them, they all remained silent for a while until Alex finally spoke up,

“I have actually had an idea for quite a while now and looking into our bank account numbers, I believe we have the funding”, he took a pause to look at his brothers who were staring curiously at him, urging him to continue, “ I say we start our own business when all of this is over. We could be successful business partners and I know we tend to clash a lot but just think about it, the three of us together? We will dominate the business world and what’s better is that we will be completely legal. I know I sound crazy but please just think…”,

“I like the idea”, this input came from Gabriel, “It sounds like the smart thing to do since we only have each other. Yes, our father’s endeavors might put a stain on our image but we will reach out to some of his old clients and show them that we are nothing like him and they can put their trust in us”, he knew this was going to be hard but hopefully, it was going to be worth it.

“I think I like it”, Kevin said, “And I would love to be partners but only if I can do it while being in the army”,

“You said?”,

“I’m enlisting in the army next year; I want to take some time away from music. I told Tessa that I was becoming a solo musician and I really can’t tell what changed but suddenly my mind, heart and brain started screaming at me to join the army, you know? Use all this anger bottled up inside of me for something other than club fights. You know, for something good? I haven’t told my therapist yet and I know she would probably think I’m crazy but it’s something I need to do”, he shrugged, “So, if it’s possible, can I be partners while being in the army?”,

“Yes, you can”, Alex said quickly, Kevin’s revelation still leaving him in shock, “We will call you whenever there is a major decision and you will sign a document that allows us to sign contracts under your name”, Kevin nodded in agreement and silence once again flourished within the small space of the car.

Finally, the hour was up and they had stopped just a few trees away from the Bandhee mansion gates. Gabriel brought out his phone and brought out the picture he had taken of the photo and the blueprints, “This is it alright”, he confirmed. He walked over to the trunk and took out the hand guns they had gotten as a self-defense mechanism. “Do we need to go over than plan again or do you guys remember it?”, he asked as he shot the trunk. They nodded but he still had to go over it again, he could not afford the luxury of a mistake, “Alex and Drew, you guys should find a better spot to hide the car while you wait for the FBI to arrive.

Kevin and I are going to sneak in and knock out as many guys as we can until we can find where they are keeping her. We will keep in tough using the communicators, okay? Please make sure that we have back up, stat”, the two men nodded their heads and got into the car but before any of them could move, Alex got out of the car and went towards his brothers, engulfing them in a hug,

“Please be careful”, he said before going back, he was not ready to take in their reactions but Drew on the other hand saw it perfectly and in his opinion, they were priceless.
