Greedy

Rae’s POV

I heard him, but my body was not capable of obeying. I didn’t want to get in trouble, but also, I didn’t want to look at him.

“Rae!” He shouted and I couldn’t understand what was that tickling sensation on my skin. I frowned and looked at him, after all. His presence was making me feel uneasy, in a different way.

When I looked up, all I could see were those bright green eyes. I expected them to be darker, since he was angry, but they were not. He seemed worried, surprised. I don’t know exactly, but not angry, like murderous anrgy.

“Why didn’t you go to class?” His voice was now not so demanding, but more like he wanted an explanation over some disappointment.

I looked down again. How could I tell him that I decided to give up on his classes because I was starting to get greedy? And he was about to marry, which meant I could never be with him, ever.

“Answer me, please.” His tone startled me. It was low, sad. I had to look up.

“I…” I started to say, but had no words. The look in his eyes made my heart sink and I raised my hand to touch him. I didn’t notice it until I was already feeling his warmth on the tip of my fingers and then, in my palm.

He closed his eyes, as if to better enjoy the feeling of my hand on his soft skin. He was big and tough, but his skin was very soft to the touch. I saw his scars, going to the collar of his shirt and I touched it. Erik’s eyes flicked open at once, glaring at me and suddenly, his mouth was on mine, devouring me.

My body was on fire and all I wanted was to be consumed by those flames. His hands were on my waist, on my back, on the back of my head, on my breasts.

“Erik…” A strange voice sounded and it took me a second to realize it came from me. So husky.

“I want you.” He said and I nodded. His voice was luring me, making me melt in his arms. I felt as if he could ask me anything, for I wouldn’t be able to refuse it.

My body was lifted and I did what my body told me to do: wrap my legs around him. The reason? Sincerely, I didn’t know, maybe to gather better balance. Or to be closer to him. He started to move and I didn’t know where, but the only thing that my mind was saying was that I was going to be just like that omega girl.

I felt as if he was putting me down, and he was, but my back hit the softness of the mattress. His body was on top of me and I moaned. Yes, I moaned. I had to. His mouth went to my neck and I couldn’t stop myself: bite, bite me!

“Damn!” He murmured on my skin. “Rae… “

His body left mine and I opened my eyes. He was looking at me with something in his eyes I couldn't understand. He was between my legs, so close I could feel something hard that made no sense, lifting his upper torso with his strong arms and my hands went to his strong chest. His clothes were clingy to his body and I wanted to see more.

"Dont stop.”

He chuckled.

“Do you know what you’re asking for?” His intense stare was serious and full of expectations. Did I know? I don’t think so. As I didn’t answer, he closed his eyes and got up from the bed. My body moved along and I was sitting up.

“Erik, I don’t understand…”

“Don’t you ever skip classes again.” His voice sounded strange and he ran a hand through his hair and turned around, sighing. He looked at me once more and left, leaving me without action and without words.

I don’t know how long I stayed there, but when I went to the kitchen, everything was already cleaned and there was no one in there except Cassandra.

“Oh, dear!” She got up from the chair she was sitting on and had a strange look in her eyes. “Are you hungry?”

In fact, I was just noticing it when she mentioned it. My belly, as if it could understand her words, growled and she held back a laughter.

“Come sit and I’l serve you.”

“No.. I can take my own food, don’t worry.”

“Sit.” She said in a way that I decided to do as I was told. She was not ordering. It was more like really asking.

After a few moments, she put a plate full of food in front of me: mashed potatoes, fried chicken, vegetables… It smelled delicious and, after I started to eat, I could say with a hundred percent sure it tasted just as it smelled.

“When you finish, go to sleep, ok?” She told me and I wanted to tell her I’d wash my dishes, but she raised her index finger as if to stop me and smiled, sweetly. I then nodded and, once my plate was emptied, I rose from my chair, said my goodnight and went to my room.

I couldn’t sleep at night. Erik was in my mind, his eyes, his body, his kisses and, of course, Patricia’s voice echoing. He was to marry. And his bride would not be me.

By morning, it was a Saturday, so things were a little different. The pack would eat a little later. Cassandra knocked on my door while I was brushing my hair and her head peeked inside with a smile.

“Good morning, sweety!” She said and entered the room. “Alpha Erik asked you to take care of the rooms upstairs. We're going to have visitors tomorrow.”

“Morning! Ah, sure. And about breakfast?”

“Don’t worry, me and the other girls will take care of everything. He asked you to start as soon as possible.”

“OK, so I’ll go now.” I told her and we both left. I went to the storage room, outside the packhouse, to gather everything I needed to start working.

Once inside, I closed the door gently and went to get the bed sheets. I heard a click, then, behind me. Oh, crap!
