Chapter 49: Karma POV & Mike POV

I woke up in an empty bed with a huge headache. I had a wonderful dream that Lance was fucking me hard. I do not remember much from last night. I remember having a blast at the party and my bank accounts being frozen, but that is it. I wonder where Lance is. Did he sleep on the couch with Jake? I needed a night out. I feel so refreshed. The bathroom is calling me. Leaving the room, I see Jake and Lance in bed knocked out. After doing my morning routine, I called the restaurant and ordered food. When I got off the phone, Jake was already up.

“Pain meds are in his top right drawer. Pass me two”, Jake said.
“When did he come out here?”, I asked, as I took two and passed him two.
“I have no idea. I thought he was in the room with you”, Jake said.
“I woke up alone so I have no idea what happened. All I remember is the party and my accounts being frozen”, I said.
“Yeah, about that. Do you really think this Mike guy is behind all of it?’, he asked.
“I have no other person in mind. Why”, I said.
“Because Lance and I were talking last night. And if Mike is willing to do something like that, he might be willing to do something much worse to get your attention”, Jake said.
“You mean to hurt me?”, I asked.
“That or something else”, Jake said.
“I honestly do not know what to do about him. I mean I can't stay here forever”, I said, getting frustrated.
“We know we care for you, Karma, and just want to keep you safe. Something about that guy does not sit right with us”, Jake said.
“Thanks, I mean he did shock me when he popped up at my house. But I am sure he is back at home now”, I said.
“And if he is not?”, Jake asked.
“Honesty Jake, I do not know. It does seem weird that he popped up in my life after four years of being gone. I just think she realized the grass wasn’t green on the other side”, I said with a shrug.

A knock on the door and I knew it was the food I ordered. Jake went to open the door as Lance woke up. I grabbed the pain meds, then a glass of water, and handed it to Lance. I wonder if she remembers anything from last night.

“Fuck my head hurts. Did I sleep out here”, Lance said.
“Yeah, I think so. When I woke up, I was the only one in bed. And you were out here with Jake”, I said.
“What time is it?", he asked.
“It is 6 am food is here”, I said.
“Okay, as soon as my head stops hurting, we will have to get ready to leave for Europe. I will text the pilot later”, Lance said.

As we ate, I noticed Jake giving Lance and me weird looks. Ignoring him, I called the banks again to see if my accounts had been unfrozen and, of course, they were not. Frustrated, I groaned; I was going to Europe. Of course, I want to go shopping. But I can't, not because of Mike or maybe Mike. I actually have no proof that it was him. And he has not contacted me yet.

**Mike POV:**

Karma has not been responding to any of my e-mails in the last two days. I have been in her house and she hasn't yet come home. The rage I feel just thinking about her being sandwiched between those two jerks. Fuck! Why can't she just realize I made a mistake and give me another chance? I could wait for him or them to kick her stupid ass into the curve. Then pick up her broken pieces or I can force her to take me.

I hate to do this to Karma, but she leaves me no choice. I froze all of her banking accounts. The only one I could not freeze is the one I really wanted to; it is her trust fund. Even with my hacking skills, I cannot freeze its account only because the account is not just under her social, it is under an unknown corporation. Why did I freeze her accounts for two reasons? The first reason is that I want her to have nothing, so she will have to ask her lovers. Men like them hate women who ask for money, they feel used. The second reason is, that once they kick her to the curb without a dime, she will have to turn to me for help. It's fuck up I know.

Taking a look at her phone call logs. Last night she called her banks and spent quite some time talking with them. After getting off the phone with the bank, she did not call anyone else. Next, I hacked her place of employment. This Logi guy is the best firewall I have ever seen. Fuck, my life, I can't get past it. Oh, well, next I tried to hack into his accounts as well, and the same thing I can't get past. My phone rings and it is my boss.

“Yeah, Tom”, I said, trying to hold in my annoyance.
“I read your report and I am happy to say I will allow you to open a branch in your home town. With you as the operating manager”, Tom said.
“That is awesome. Thanks, Tom”, I said excitedly. This means I can stay here and work on myself and Karma.
“You are welcome, I know you will make our newest branch of Antata Cyber Security flourish”, Tom.

Yes, I get to stay here. Staying here for work is the best ever. Karma and I can restart our lives together. I started looking for houses. I want a big house. I plan on impregnating her as soon as possible. Karma does not come from a broken home and would not want that for her children. Once she is pregnant, she will never leave me.
