Chapter 18: First attack

Angela had finally gotten her plan into action as she stayed ind9ors and today was the day she had decided to attack for the first time since they had made her serve them food last night her plan for tonight was to pretend she had forgotten what they had done to her the embarrassment she had received from Mason is this night she told the cooks not to bother because she was going to do the cooking and whatever was to be done she would then go forward to poisoning the food she would serve.
The entire day she was smitten with Mason and did not look as though she had ulterior plans was going to kill someone or make his head for the sauce to be eaten with rice, smiles but she had thought about it numerous times she just didn't know how to that to the man she loved.
Unfortunately for her when she had cooked and put in the poison she had concocted a female servant had seen her and told Mason who decided to play along with her making things seem as though they were okay and hence she served the table he had not told Aurora so when she sat and began serving herself some of the food the little guardian who stood by her said something in her witch language and that was how she turned to Angela who stood smiling a fake smile which hardly reached her eyes and told the inexpectant woman to come to join them on the table for some food because she wanted to bind with her mate's blossom friend from way back on hearing this she became scared and stated she couldn't sit when the Alpha had not told her to do so.
Then Mason dived in telling her his Luna had spoken on behalf of them both, on hearing this she became extremely bothered as she told them she wasn't hungry she had eaten when she was cooking and she would love to see them eat because the food was getting cold.
Then Mason used his Alpha voice and instructed her to take a seat and eat what was on the table prepared by her
Their mate bond had communicated to them already stating that they both knew what was in the food and it was a poison was strong and only a few persons like those who formulated them knew the antidote to what they had consumed.
Then all of a sudden Angela said she felt sick and she didn't like the food she had prepared on hearing this Mason had been too quiet for nothing as he slowly rise from his seat and stated that they both knew what was happening and she has poisoned the food and when she insisted saying she had not I'm done anything of that sort Aurora urged her to eat of it, the aim was not for her to die they just wanted to let her know they knew what she had done and Aurora had the powers of helping her out
When she finally ate the food she waited for a reaction and when she didn't begin seeing symptoms she began begging to be safe saying she just did that because she was jealous Aurora was the one selected as the gods to be Mason's mate and she was immensely in love with Mason on hearing this Aurora said she should lay down in the table as she pushed everything from the table down and then they tore her dress open and began doing some incantations and then suddenly she found some smoky residue leaving her body and she began coughing and when all the smoke was out she then was fine and she looked well and for the first time she looked ashamed of what she had done she could not believe she was feeling ashamed for what she had done plus she couldn't think she would be caught in that manner but the mistake she made as she had told all the servants to leave so she cooked the food alone if she had not done so she would have not been caught because they would have just accused one of the servants and she would have been fine already and dodged this particular part of humiliation of having to thank Aurora for saving her life. Which she did sluggishly and this was a wake-up call for them all to know that they had to fear Angela whenever she was beside the pot of find for people because if she could go to this extent of doing this it meant she was indeed capable of doing more than what they could think she wouldn't do.
She ran to her room in shame as all the other pack members gathered to see what was going on.
And then Madon decided to tell Aurora he would want them to be at the same office and work together.
What do you mean I would work at your office?" she asked with a serious tone.
"I meant what I have said," he retorted without further ado, meaning it was the final statement, he had to exercise his mate leadership in her and she had to listen to him because she was obligated to listen to him.
And then she asked the question which he had been dreading.
"Does this mean I won't be going back to doing my stripper's job anymore?".
Because he didn't know how to keep responding to her unending questions, he decided to take her to his room and there he told her not to bother too much because it wouldn't be something that would disturb her a lot.
But this time, it was a different house; he too had taken her to his condo. She was confused why they had changed the place where she had been taken initially and how they got to this place was something she couldn't understand, was it some sort of telepathy.
They went into the house and it looked like heaven so spacious and beautiful. She felt like she was in paradise.
A maid came and took her things into the house and showed her a bigger room that was twice as big as the small apartment she has been living in, which she by the way noticed that her things in the apartment were right in front of her. How did he know where she lived to the point where he packed her things and brought them here?
He then left for some pack issues after he left her there after the night when they had come and had a blissful night she had never come there again so this was when she
Since she entered this house she had not seen him, he went into what looked like an office and he had not gone out of the room since then. He had told her she was to work both in his leal and Mafia businesses, what has she brought upon herself. She stood in the room confused but she loved her room, the room he had chosen for her and he had made sure the maids at the house had equipped it with her belongings hence she couldn't understand how and when he had gotten the time to take out her things from the apartment where she lived in a wooded area to bring it here he was a man with a very funny attitude she could see of that but she loved him that way he behaved sometimes although she got all stubborn towards him she was happy she was with him because he understood her, the drapes were welcoming and the smell was homely and better than the space in the woods she had been living at with her adoptive mother, God bless her soul.
She sat on the bed with her new phone, this was the only thing that made sense to her at this point. She was still trying to get acquainted with the room when the same maid who had shown her the room, came and told her to come downstairs for dinner. All this was new to her, she had never had anyone wait on her or treat her like royalty.
Finally, she went downstairs and that was the only time she saw this arrogant man whom she called her mate seated and waiting for her to come and let them have dinner finally she sees his face.
Then she asked him what she was going to do at the office since he so wanted her to join his line of business maybe not stripping for a while was going to do her some good and she would get business acquainted to understand things when he was not around she could handle those things.
The silence was rather uncomfortable for her but he ate his food to his fill before he got up, turned to her, and announced to her that she was going to begin work tomorrow at his enterprise as an Assistant.
Her job description was simple, she would join him to attend some meetings; take down notes, and go anywhere with him even if it meant out of the country. And before she had any chance to ask him questions, he had left back to his office-like space. She concluded that it was only s matter of time.
She wanted to go meet him in the room but she was saved by the maid who told her it wasn't advisable because the big boss didn't like people prying, no one was allowed to in there. It was sacred chambers so she left and went into her room wondering how her first day was going to be at this office he kept talking about.
Seems she was human and did not know that they were mates so she obliged and went I her room.
As he sat inside his office, he tried to rectify the issue of Alphonso and was on a zoom meeting with other Alphas who hated the guts of Alphonso. This wouldn't be the first time he would blow someone's brains out or make them pay for a crime they had committed. But he also knows Alphonso was not one to give up that easily, so he knew he had to come up with a flawless plan. Which included his fellow mighty Alphas.
He finally came up with a plan, this had to include his newly recruited assistant, but she will have to get acquainted with her new job first before she is given a new assignment. He knew he was taking away everything she held dear, but he had better plans for her this could only be possible if she listened to him and do exactly whatever he asked of her. His mate!!
