Chapter 29: Another Attack

Mason's pov.

How can I go to sleep when I am bothered by the impending doom that was about to befall the pack house?

There was a prophecy that had been told to them and their unborn baby was the holder of the prophecy.

I had to finance the buying of some weapons in case we were attacked once again unexpectedly I had to have my Alpha soldiers ready at all times.

I went to the office where Estrella was making the possible arrangements she was an efficient and effective little girl.

 I went with her to the bank so I could withdraw money.

When we got there and came out of the vehicle I went straight into the bank.

The cashier was busy with something so was had to wait until she was done. By this time Alpha Mason had something important to do so he left me with his card and told me to withdraw the money for the weapons to be bought.

Estrella's Pov

After the cashier had done whatever she was doing, she looked up at me and said; “There is a PND on the account.”

“What does that mean?” I asked.

“Post no debit, When I tried withdrawing it all, the PND got activated, if you had withdrawn part of it, there wouldn’t have been issues.”The cashier explained.

” Okay, withdraw $299,000 for me, then.”I said and the cashier smirked.

I wonder what was funny to her.

“The PND has been activated already and you can not withdraw any money from this card for the next three days.”The woman said and faced somewhere else; ” Next.” she called out.

I walked away from the woman and wondered why the card will be activated only after three days. And he had given me strict instructions to carry out the buying and everything and he said something about coming to the townhouse in three days times

I’m not getting what is happening.

And I was with Angela, she was the one who had insisted we withdrew more than we were supposed to withdraw.

My phone beeped briefly and I checked the text message that just entered.

It was from Mason that reads; “Tell my fake friend, thanks for attempting to withdraw all the money, and that she had just failed the first test.”

ANGELA's POV

I furrowed my brow in surprise and reasoned.

So it was a test all along?

How come I didn’t know?

I wanted to reply to Mason but the number he used to text me does not support my replying to him.

Well, well….there are still two tests to go.

I walked out of the bank to the driver and I couldn’t find any car outside again

Where is this stupid driver?

Angela called Anthony and he picked up.

“A silly guy drove me here and I told him to wait for me and Estrella out here I can't seem to find the guy or Estrella. Can you come and pick me up?” I asked.

He laughed and said; “You went to do some stuff in the bank or you went to steal all of the Alpha’s money?”

Huh! How did he know?

“Fool!” I was pained.

“Are you coming to carry me or not?” I asked.

He laughed again. “the Alpha instructs us not to transport you anywhere till he comes back, greedy friend.” He said and scoffed at me again before hanging up.

I felt like seeing him and giving him a knock on his head.

I sighed and regretted my actions, I regretted it because I knew what Mason could do to me for this act and I didn't think he was going to forgive me anytime soon, "what have I done" she asked in a regretful voice she had to stay at the pack because she wanted fo to be able to get her information and also try seeing what Aurora was up to.

"I think I’m too greedy, I should have just withdrawn $299,000, as he has instructed Estrella" she humphed.

I had been finding a cab for myself and chattering it to work. All of the pack soldiers and workers had refused to transport me to work.

I had no power over them until the Alpha was back and had told them his verdict for me.

For some reason, Mason and Aurora had left the pack for some urgent meeting at an unknown destination, and worst of all I could not find a scent.

I only kept my anger till Mason returned and those pack soldiers and workers that are maltreating me now surelyelyly hate themselves when I finally get rid of Aurora and become the Luna of the Green pack and Anthony is going to get it got from me.

They are all loyal to Aurora and give zero respect to me. Who has been with them all through and but knew nothing about who she was if they knew everything about me but yet had no respect.

No matter what it takes, I must make myself the Luna of that man.

Three days later, I turned from work and was less surprised when I saw Mason and Aurora, had come and were seated on the chair.

“How are you, Angela”

“You should know how I feel. you told the soldiers and workers to maltreat me and you are asking me how I feel? Just because I failed a stupid test you were playing with that Estrella girl who in the world does not fail?” I asked.

“Angela, my soldiers, and workers are not slaves but you are ready to treat them as one, respect them and they would respect you?” He said.

“They are not even respecting me, can you get that silly pack driver fired first of all?”I asked.

” Will you sit down first?”He asked me politely but u ins what was coming after that he didn't look quite friendly although I knew he was trying to make it possible he didn't scold me we were pretty close and I don't how why the moon goddess and the gods had to decided to give him a mate who wasn't what I had expected, with the way aw grew everyone was wall aware and knew we would be mates.

” So, do what I want, get the pack drive fired.”I said.

“If you were my original Luna I would have granted you access to the powers I have at will, and  you would have fired the pack driver, right?”He asked.

Hurt to the core I turned and looked at him not understanding what was happening this wasn't my Mason he usually did what I wanted.

“I won’t fire any of my workers just because you told me to, you can fire them yourself when you become my Luna. But that is a far-fetched wish so mind you" he said and I was thinking he had forgotten about what I had done three days back.

"About what happened three days back I haven't told my mate your Luna yet, because she just might have your head on a platter but because I consider you a bosom friend ill like to give you tests that are two tes, if you fall those tests I would not hesitate in banishing you and making you a frustrated werewolf just like you did when you rejected your mate, have I made myself clear?" he said sternly.

That came as a shock, I wasn't expecting him to find out I had rejected Mark I had done so in private and no one had known of seen us because when I rejected him he became a frustrated man and ran somewhere into the forest and I had never taken my words back although I always went and looked for him once in a while with wild fruits and others.

He left and went into his chambers something about Aurora and Anthony's mind linking him at once and it was urgent.

 

AURORA's POV

 

At night, I sat beside Mason, It was hard to tell if he was sleeping or not.

It’s been many hours since we had slept, I truly slept for a few hours and woke a few hours later, I kept thinking of what the moon goddess meant by the prophecy involving our yet-to-be-born baby.

I just wish my baby can have a peaceful live void of all of these troubles and trials.

All these fighting and killings how would he or she cope with them?

I was rubbing my belly which was yet to begin showing it was just four weeks since I found out I was pregnant.

“Aurora” I heard my name all of a sudden and I closed my eye like I was sleeping.

I did not say a word, all this while that I was thinking, my eyes were opened.

He must have caught my eyes open.

“Why are you not sleeping?” He asked and I thought if I should reply or not.

I turned to him and said; “Mason anytime I wander away, you always bring me back, I think you and I should try something to make this prophecy be put on his I can't seem to take away the thoughts of my baby being hurt."

“Baby it's okay nothing is going to happen and we shall be fine the moon goddess and the queen witch know what they are doing, they never give a problem without a solution," He said and turned me towards him and hugged me.

“Self-control is a virtue.” He said.

“So you think having self-control would help with the entire situation I have never been scared but I seem to be scared for our child"

“Yea baby, having a can't come with its insecurities but never mind everything is going to be fine alright?" he consoled me.

I guess I was never ready for motherhood but seeing as I was in this phase of my life as a support system to my mate and a helping hand for my kind, I think everything was all making sense now maybe my mother left because she could not be able to handle the weight of everything that was placed on her shoulders.

I tried to go to sleep and finally, I think our baby decided to bless with deep slumber.

Augusta returned from her search and when she entered the pack house that night no one asked her any questions because they knew who she was already.

As she entered she met Angela trying to sneak something into Aurora's favorite cup and that was where she had the perfect bingo thoughts.

she walked closely toward Angela and asked her,

"What exactly are you doing?" she startled her out of her mischief.

"Damn, I did not know you were back here," Angela said trying to hide what she was holding in her hand.

"I know what you were doing hence you would have to do something for me in return for my silence".....
