Chapter 23: Tge rescue

So why did she still have this bad feeling that something was going to happen today?
When I glanced back at the rearview mirror she notices that there was a black car following her.
She has just been coming back from work with all the work stress the moment she entered her gate she saw the car pass and then get into the house Aurora made mention of the abduction at the pack immediately after they had left that night and she also told him she would have sworn that a black vehicle was following her as she came back home.
And she wanted so much for all the chaos to die down so she and Mason would begin discussing wedding plans and it would go in peace all of these movements being scared of what is going to happen and whatnot was not funny for her as she took off her heels and fell to the chair wanting to go rest her aching back and soles of her feet.
She was doing undercover research so that she could know where her mother was, word had gotten to her stating they had been on her mother's whereabouts and her mother was around she had been secretly doing her research reason why the other day she had blocked her mate out of the mind link so she could focus on finding her mother who most probably had a lot of things to explain to her from when she was abandoned as a baby and why she had returned now.
Everything had to make sense to her.
And now they had another strange woman in the Packhouse who was looking for her daughter so she could return with her to wherever she was from.
She was in a turmoil of emotions as Angela too was not giving her breathing space, Angela had made it a point to always make her feel like there were beefing But Aurora being who she was was never one to fight with anyone over a man or whatever but she sure had made her terms known that she was the owner of Mason, the gods had done that and not she and her heart had accepted him too and there was no changing of anything.
She went downstairs to look at the woman's room to find out if the woman was doing well and if she was being treated with utmost hospitality which was necessary.
So she got up from where she was seated in the room and wow her flops and a polluter because she was cold the weather was nobody friend, to begin with.

Masons POV
He had gone into the doom of mirrors which could see all the activities of the pack and the activities of most rivals who might just be planning ill although not everything showed except those that were being monitored closely and now this is the point where he wanted to know why Alphonso had decided to join a coup with the vampires and art of people who were never friends with werewolves.
He glanced through the mirror and noticed that Damon was now talking and laughing with some girls. He could see through the laughter that there was some sinister plan in it as he had plans of probably sucking the blood out of some and others were to graze his bed overnight until he was then tired of their services and eventually he was going to suck them dry one after the other.
"The supreme one, Damon your presence is needed," says one of the vampire servants who addressed him in the manner that he appreciated all the time.
"Corny bastard, ?" Mason muttered under his breath when he heard laughter emit from him Beta who was looking at the mirror with him was trying his best to find out little loopholes which were going to be used to their advantage, to be able to attack perfectly well.
Damon Fayez was covered in tattoos and as they watched him walk down the hallway to attend fl the person or people who were looking for him he gave his guard an order which was if his werewolf Alpha's whispering ears could hear perfectly well it's stated he quoted to his Beta " He just told him to take five of the girls to the slaughterhouse and also he was going to go tell the girls parents they had been recruited to work in the vampire house and from there they would create chaos which would state the girls does due to the attack" when he said this to Anthony he muttered " utterly disposable of someone to think humans are woods and objects to be used, how sad" he said and then they turned off the mirror he had seen enough for one day although he was looking for the old wan and her daughter, somehow he had decided to help the out since he had noticed that the young girl was not interested in that ceremony of sales he had wanted to take her and offer a job and maybe just from the look of things he had found thAt she was an intelligent isdy who was willing to do anything to leave the vampire and although it sounded like he was an opportunist but he wanted to use her to get information about the vampire clan and how they would be able to eradicate them all into extinction.

AUGUSTA's POV

She had been doing her survey and working in the house and when she finally got a hold of the room where her servant was looking she struggled with the pin on her hand and pricked the door open.
The room smelled of rotten human flesh, blood was all over the room the stench of pew and excrement filled the air and it all came from her most loyal servant.
Being the great witch she was she did a few enchantments and somehow the wounds began to close up and he began grunting because the pains how awful and he couldn't hold it in as he screamed.
Augusta was lucky because she had gotten to the room when the warriors has been called for a meeting and no one could ever think she was doing what she was doing because they all thought she was in the bedroom probably resting.
She had old bones hence she was resting.
"Stop screaming you punk, you would attract attention," she said to him and he tried to muffle the screams which left his mouth.
And soon enough he was no longer in much pain as she caved a door behind the room and he escapes for his dear life with instructions to go and prepare the rest of the troupe of warriors, which she had been training for years now for the impending war they had been preparing for in this packed house and her number one enemy Mason Laurel.
She then formulated some sort of dummy which looked the same as the errand boy she has just rescued and then she left the room but as she was about to go out of the room she could perceive someone coming to the door and there the guards who were at the door.
So she used her teleporting witch skill and got back into her room just in time for Aurora to knock and she pretended to just be awake for sleep.

AURORA POV

When Aurora got into the room there was this kind of force which was oozing from the woman's body and she couldn't understand what was happening but she felt odd and something was wrong when she realised her eyes turning red and the smoke was about come out of her ears she was stopped by her little guardian by her side who spoke to her slowly and stopped had from showing this strange woman who she was and also she told her that she was sorry she just got lost in thoughts and wanted to find out if the woman was okay.
"Oh dear, you care too much, I am fine and I have rested my old bones perfectly well, "she said when she saw Aurora coming close to her she got up saying she wanted to go and have a stroll since she had been indoors all days. Hearing this Aurora accepted and helps her down the best but she knew she had to find out a lot about this woman.
As she was about mind link Mason to come for them to discuss what had just happened a few minutes ago, he too was mind linking that the prisoner was dead and she couldn't understand how the prisoner has died so she told him she was coming and he rushed out telling the old woman she would come for them to go for that Stroll.
" A spell has been used in this room, and that thing lying there is not the captive who had been under us all this while," Aurora said because she could perceive the enchantments that had been done and she also went to the spot where a door had been created she did some incantations and the door was reopened and just then they saw the traces of the remnants of blood which was on the captives legs.
"We have a snitch among us and I wouldn't like to be that person if found," she said.
And the first person that came to the mouth of Beta Anthony was Angela given her history of the poison but when they did their findings it was found Angela was present during the meeting they were having and there was no way she could be the person who had used witches spell she was a pure-blood werewolf and her only crime at this point was being in love with someone else mate and rejecting her mate and sensing him into depression and frustration and until she accepted him there was no way he was going to come back to being the vibrant person he used to be.
She stated the room be cleaned while she did her findings.
Mason was more than the most furious as he watched the look-alike of the captive swept out.
They needed to find out whoever was doing all of this in the meantime they were going to deal with the vampires while underground works were done for the search of this said captive who's name was never gotten and also there was no evidence to trace to whoever was doing all the atrocities.
They all were not trusting of the other at this point because everyone looked like a suspect until proven bot guilty of the said allegations that were placed for everyone and if anyone was found guilty it was going to be a gruesome death.
