Chapter 21: Verdict

"I, you the Alpha of this pack, hereby pronounce anybody who isn't a friend and an asset to this pack a betrayal and if you are found to have committed an atrocity anywhere outside of our pack we do not know you is that clear?" This came as a result of what had happened last night to have kept them hp punishing the guy who ended up saying nothing but having his limbs cut off.
There were times when he asked some of his pack followers to disguise themselves as humans so that they could get information from the human world and bring it to the pack for analysis and implementation but whatever was happening, now was something he could not comprehend so yea he was not ready to deal with liabilities or those who do black legs in his territory.
"Raise your hands if you do not want to be part of my pack anymore!", when he said this he was expecting Angela to raise her hands because he knew they had their differences and hence he wouldn't want to hurt her terribly in the future should in case she tried something similar or worst than the stunt she pulled the last time.
After this activity was done and only a few miscreants came forth claiming they were not satisfied with my ruling and whatnot I was satisfied they were honest enough not to go through the pains of having their ins, manhood or some other important place cut off forever and then send unto an exile.
Anthony stood behind him just thinking for the umpteenth time saying if he as much as asked where his mate was he would...
" Beta Anthony, have you seen or heard from Aurora?" Alpha Mason's mind linked him for the tenth time in twenty minutes...
Even though he was dealing with the pack house issue he still wanted his mate beside him her display last night breaking this morning had been one to turn him on and just like that she left this morning and he couldn't find her or know where she was.
It's like she just disappeared.

After he was fine with banishing and implementing new rules and regulations for everyone in the pack to follow and all their defense mechanisms he insisted on Angela taking the female warriors harder than she had been training them and before he left he had to tell them stating that for those who worked under Angela if he as much as heard that any of them joint her in whatever plans she had against the pack considering what she had done last time, he promised to feed them with their manhoods and titties for the women.
When everyone heard this they shuddered because they knew he was not bluffing and if anyone faulted they were going to feel his wrath irrespective of how close they were to him this comes as a demonstration of what they had done to Angela the other day after the poisoning stunt she carried out thanks to their Luna she was saved.
"Are you certain you did not see Aurora skip out of here this morning?" he mind-linked Anthony once more.
"Man you've got to chill, Aurora can take care of herself and if I had seen her I would have told you" Anthony sent a reply to him.
"That's my mate we are talking about and I can't seem to mind linking her, ahh it's frustrating, "he said
" I know Mason can't your possessive guts down," Anthony said and closed the linking Portal.
When Nason realized he wasn't able to get through to his Beta because their mind link was closed he turned and looked at him and Anthony smirked. It was times like this when Nason felt kike chopping his friend's head off and he, Anthony, and his mate Aurora were the only ones he permitted to behave the way they did to him with no repercussions of punishment.
When he was done with all the pack activities he went into his study to rest the morning had been exhausting.
He sat down abruptly in the chair not bothered that he had sat too hard and it had a resounding bang towards the wall which could most definitely be broken and the entire pack house could be shocked.
After resting for a good ten minutes he decided to rush down the flight of stairs to go find Aurora it was almost noon time and she was yet to be home it bothered him although Beta Anthony had told him Aurora was old enough and strong enough to take care of herself he couldn't help but worry she was his mate for crying out loud it was only normal to feel a void when someone you love wasn't by your side. When you needed them to be with you.
It was an awful feeling hence the reason why he was rushing down with such speed not knowing exactly where he would be headed to go find her
Weird thoughts kept roaming in his head as he thought maybe his enemies were using his weak point which was his mate to get back at him
Or maybe the limbless guy whom he had tortured last had more powerful personnel out who had gotten his mate and kept her captive as he was going in such a hurry and also not thinking straight it was wise that his Beta Anthony had somehow managed to get ahold of him from their mind link just in time to ask what was going on and where he was rushing to and he could feel the worry in his Alphas heart and when these worries were shared with Anthony it made sense but he has to make sure Mason was calm before anything else.
"Mason, you need to make it down," she might just be having a stroll or something, nothing much to be worried about please," Anthony was not so good at comforting others when they had issues but he had to comfort his friend and Alpha who could do crazy at any moment because of his mate who had vehemently refused to open their mind link portal to communicate her position at the moment.
And voila it worked Mason was soothed and calmed down.
Aurora should be back anytime from now. She should be with people of her kind this was 2 pm. She still wasn't answering her phone or the mind link and Anthony kept insisting they wait.
When he had gotten up in a rush one more time to go find her, he felt a breeze signaling her mind link was opened and she responded to h since she could sense his worry.
"What do you want?" she asked him exhausted and at the same time just wanting to spite him.
"Excuse me, you are talking to your mate, where have you been since morning and why is your mind kink only opening now?" he asked all in one go
"You do know I can take care of myself right?" she asked him through the link not responding to his numerous questions about where she had been and why she has not been picking up his calls.
"I was out," she responded curtly "But I am on my way back" she continued
"Wait I am coming to get you," Mason said but before he could continue with more interrogation questions she blocked him back and he couldn't gain access anymore no matter how hard he tried to get back into her mind link portal.
"Man I told you she was fine" Beta Anthony said heaving a big sigh as he retreated to a chair out on the porch.
In less than twenty minutes Aurora showed up and she looked rusty and dirty so she didn't stop to have any discussion with them as they stood outside.
She went in directly to her shower and had a long bath with Mason in the room waiting for her to come to explain to him what the exact fuck was happening.
"I went for training, it was an impromptu call and I could not tell you at that point when you were having your pack duties to carry out because the Mason I know would want to follow me where I was going and I wouldn't want that," she said without him asking a question as she came out of the shower smelling like rose petals and lavender.
"But you should have left your mind link portal open I should have discussed with you to know how the events were turning out wherever you were" he tried to make her understand his point but she wasn't having it.
"If I had left you to get through to me you would have somehow known where I was I come there to bother me I didn't want a distraction, Mason," she said and went closer to get some clean clothes.
"I can't believe you are calling me a distraction," he said looking hurt x I was just worried like anyone who cared about someone would be" he continued.
"Mason I understand but this training was ruthlessly tough and I had to close the portal so you don't feel the pain of my bruises and wounds as I got them from the wild beasts I was fighting as part of my training," she said
"I could endure it for you," he said
"Now that's sweet but no thank you! I am famished what's there to eat she changed the subject and he couldn't but feel Aurora was hiding something from him but what was it, she had told him to bother but the more he said she shouldn't bother the more she felt the need of being bothered.
"Come now let's go eat I am hungry and maybe you could show just how much you have been bothered about me all-day honey," She said as she kissed him on the forehead and they walked down the stairs to where their food had been served.
After what happened with Angela when the servants cooked food they had to taste it to make sure they had not poisoned it. If there were fifteen dishes the servants were given a hefty portion of each to be tasted and after two minutes if nothing happened then they did was good for consumption for the packhouse family and it was an implemented rule from now on by the Alpha and Luna that even if you were not eating you should be at the table he wanted to be sure he was looking at the faces of everyone who was at the table.
There was good news.
Anthony and his mate were expecting a baby.
And werewolf pregnancy was nothing kike a typical human pregnancy of nine months it was three months and the baby was born so the father had to begin extreme preparation for their baby's arrival.
