Chapter 18

He was happily surprised to see us. He hugged Rahul and smiled at me. His mom welcomed us and made me feel very comfortable. Mehul always seemed friendly to me even when Rahul used to avoid me, Mehul seemed approachable. He used to look at me with kind brotherly eyes.



He kept entertaining us by telling me about their school and college incidents and I was enjoying myself. Rahul was glaring at him but he didn't care.



We enjoyed alot and I almost forgot the incident that happened in college.

It was time for us to leave. Aunty hugged me and said that we must come again. I nodded " Aunty I enjoyed a lot, we will definitely come back."



Mehul came with us to our car and said, " Priya I am very happy that you both are married. I always wanted to have a younger sister, but I never had one. I have always seen you as my sister and I am really very happy that you married this idiot."



Rahul punched him on his shoulder but he didn't bother. " And if he irritates you please tell me. I will punch him for you. "



I just smiled, " Thankyou Bhai. You are a very nice person just as Rahul said. "



" Yes, he would say that as I have been tolerating him for years now. " Rahul punched him again and Mehul punched him back.



" But jokes apart, he is my best friend, as he is a gem of a person. You both are perfect for each other. But still, feel free to take my help if you ever want to punch him. " He hugged me lightly with one arm. We said goodbye to him and went Home.



Everyone was sitting there watching some comedy show. " Rahul and Priya, we thought you would come late, but it is good as we were about to have dinner. Go and freshen up, I will serve dinner in the meanwhile." She went to the kitchen, I followed her.



" Mom I will help you with dinner. Sorry, mom, I wanted to come earlier but Rahul wanted to go and meet his friend Mehul Bhai."



" No beta it is ok. We are happy that you both are spending time together. In fact, Ram was reluctant to send him away to London alone, but you have your exams so… "



" Mom, I am happy that Rahul is going instead of dad. Dad's health won't permit him to go there for 10 days. Rahul is young and can handle it. "



" You are such a sweet child, God bless you both."

We instructed our housekeeper to lay out the dinner.



" Rahul you may take an off tomorrow, as your tickets are booked for the day after. " Dad said



" There is no need for that dad, they might need me in office."



"If they need you they can come and ask you. You take rest."



" Ok dad " While we were having food all of a sudden Rahul winced slightly. I looked at him. His knuckles were a bit cracked as he had punched that stupid man. Rohit also saw that and he looked at me as if he was asking me questions. I felt very bad for Rahul. He ate food with difficulty, I was almost into tears.



Rahul's POV



As soon as I went to wash my hands, Rohit followed me and asked, " Why are your knuckles cracked Bhai? What happened? Why is Priya almost into tears? What happened today?? Come on tell me."



" Don't worry Rohit, I just had a fight with the guy who was misbehaving with Priya in college."



" What? "



I told him everything. Rohit was getting very angry now, " You should have called me so I would have beaten him to pulp."



" I did that brother, don't worry. I am just a little worried about Priya, she was so scared."



" Don't worry Bhai, I will take care of her, when you are not here." I smiled at him and patted on his shoulder.



I went to my room and saw that Priya was almost about to cry. She came to me as soon as she saw me.

" I am sorry Rahul, does it hurt? Show it to me, please. I saw that you couldn't even eat properly. Please let me apply this ointment on your wounds. "



" Don't worry Priya, it is nothing. I am fine, trust me."



" Yes I saw that, you winced while eating. It was all because of me. "



" It was because that man was misbehaving with you. It was not your fault. Ok, now stop this discussion. I must say you are a fabulous dancer. Wow !! you are the best dancer of your college that is great. Your expressions were just perfect. You didn't even miss a beat. Great yaar I am impressed." She smiled sadly.



She was still sulking and feeling guilty. She started combing her long silky hair. I wanted her in my arms now, she was so cute, innocent and beautiful. She was driving me insane.



" Umm Priya I am still feeling hungry. "



" Oh, you were in pain, so you mustn't have had food properly. I will get you food."



" No, I mean... I am not that hungry."



" What is this Rahul? You just said that you are hungry. Now you are saying you are not. Please tell me what you want to eat, I will get it for you."



Oh!!! Here she asks this question again… if only I could tell you… I would love to eat you my sweetie pie.



" Rahul???"



" How about that laddoo you made? "



" I will get it for you?"

She is so innocent and childlike. I am trying to control my emotions, but I really want her.



She came with some milk and laddoos and offered them to me.



" Priya, there is some pain in my hand, can you please feed me these laddoos? "



" Oh! ok."

She fed me with laddoes and milk I was enjoying when all of a sudden, Rohit came into the room and said, " Wow Priya, you made laddoos? I just love laddoos. Can you get me a few of those, please? "



" Sure Rohit, just give me two minutes, actually Rahul is having pain in his hand so he can't eat them himself. I'll get it for you once I feed him, please sit. "



" Don't worry, I'll feed him, you please get the laddoos for me, I am dying to eat them. " Rohit said with a smirk, I wanted to kill him I swear.



" Bhai, just open your mouth, I will feed you with as many Laddooes as you want. Priya is getting more of them for us.



"Shut up, Rohit. Just take them and go, I don't need your help."



" But 5 mins back, I saw that you needed Priya's help. Come on bhai, you can take her help but not mine, I am so hurt. Show me your hand, I have the perfect cure for them. "



Can anybody give me a loaded gun, please ? I need to kill this brat…



" Rohit please get out of here, I am getting irritated now. "



" Not before I feed you. It is my duty to help my elder brother when he needs me. And I also want laddoes. "



Priya came with laddoes in a plate and gave it to Rohit. He started eating one and said, " Priya do you have some cousin or friend who can make laddoos like this? Please introduce her to me. They are awesome, I just can't feed him now as I have to eat them too. You do that. Ok, thanks for these, please keep making them for us."



" Bye, good night to both of you and Bhai please enjoy your laddoes..." He left after winking at me.



Priya fed me and asked me if I needed anything else.
