Rahul's POV

All the invitations were already sent by my PA. He keeps a list ready of all our associates and friends and sends them invitations. So we just had to see the menu.



The venue of the party was the same hotel where we got married. The food and decorations they make are always great there. Now I had to go and get ready.



My thoughts shifted to Priya. I was flabbergasted, when she just ran towards me and hugged me tight. I thought I was dreaming. I held her very tightly. She smelled like fresh flowers. I kissed her lightly on the base of her neck and she gasped.



Did she feel as good as I felt, when I held her. I wanted her with me all the time. I think I was losing my mind.



I still remember the feel of her lips against mine. They were so soft. I can't wait anymore, I have to tell her about my feelings.

I got ready and went downstairs, dad was also there waiting for mom. Rohit came with mom. He looked a bit distracted. I knew the reason but didn't tease him. Three of them were ready to go when Priya started coming towards us, my foot got rooted there and I was spellbound, she looked as if she was from some other world.



Looking mesmerizing in her light beige coloured lehenga. I kept on staring at her, even forgot to blink my eyes. My dad coughed and called my name. I came back to my senses and brushed my hand at the back of my neck.



My cheeks turned a bit hot. I swear, I did not want to go anywhere or meet anyone, but just her. Enough is enough, today I will tell her about my feelings.



" You are looking very beautiful, Priya." said mom she smiled and returned the compliments to mom," You too mom..."



We all left for the venue. Decorations were very elegant. Kabir Uncle came and hugged me and said, " I am proud of you, son. You handled the project very well. Keep up the good work. "



"Thank you Uncle. " he patted on my shoulder and went to meet mom, dad and Priya. Guests started pouring in.



Mehul was coming towards me, a girl was following him. She was very pretty, who was she? Mehul looked a bit lost. He hugged me and smiled but somehow the smile didn't seem to reach his eyes. What was wrong with him? " Hey man, what's up. You are looking a bit lost. Is everything alright?"



" Yes, I am fine and I am very proud of you. You handled this project on your own and did very well. Congratulations !!! "



" Thanks and who is the girl, that came with you? I have never seen her."



" She is… just a family friend. She happened to be at my place today, so mum asked me to take her to the party." He said, but his behaviour was weird, as if he was trying to hide something.



What was it? What was bothering him? Why was he not behaving normally? I need to talk to him.



Now the girl was standing behind him. I introduced myself, " Hi, I am Rahul. I am Mehul's best friend. How are you? Welcome to this party. "



" Hi, I am Megha, Mehul's... family friend." She looked towards Mehul and smiled sadly.



What was going on?



" Come, I will introduce you to my wife, Priya. She will be glad to meet you "



I called Priya " Priya,

come and meet Megha, she is Mehul's friend and Megha, she is my wife Priya." Priya smiled at her and hugged her. I left them together and I dragged Mehul aside.



" What is the matter, Mehul? It seems you are hiding something, tell me, what's the matter? Don't forget that I am your best friend. Are you in some kind of trouble? What's up, man? Say something dammit. I am worried about you." I was too concerned about him but he kept on avoiding the conversation.



Just when I thought I would make him share his problem with me, our other friends arrived. I would have to talk to Mehul later on.



Sagar, Vikram and Gautam came together. We all have been friends, since we were in school. Then we chose our respective professions and went to different colleges.



Sagar did his engineering and MBA and was a leading businessman. Vikram and Gautam were Doctors.

I was happy to meet all of them. I introduced them to Priya and Megha

" Priya, meet my friends, Sagar, Vikram and Gautam. And friends, she is my wife, Priya and this pretty lady is Megha, Mehul's family friend." everyone greeted each other. We all were having a blast and enjoying each other's company by teasing each other.



Just then, Priya saw Sia and excused herself and asked me to come with her. I also wanted to meet her best friend. Priya was going towards a tall, fair and beautiful girl. So this is the girl who had smitten my little brother. This party is going to be fun. Priya hugged her and then introduced her to me " Sia, meet my husband Rahul. And Rahul, this is my best friend Sia."



She smiled at me and I said, " Nice to meet you, Sia, I have heard so much about you."



" Same here, Rahul Ji, I have heard so much about you over the years, it seems that I almost know you already."



" Over the years??? What does that mean" Priya hit her with her elbow and glared at her. Sia looked at her as if she was apologising.



What was that? Was I missing something? I didn't understand their small exchange of thoughts. I wanted to enquire about it but Priya changed the topic.



She said, " Rahul actually, Sia also needs to do the internship, so I am planning to ask dad, if she can also join the office ?" She asked me.



" Of course she can join the office, dad would be very glad to know that I know he will give you permission to do that. So, you can join the office tomorrow as Priya is also joining. "



" Thank you so much, I would love to join the office tomorrow. " She smiled.



"I will tell you the details as to whom you would have to report. " I smiled mischievously and Priya understood. I excused myself and went to find Rohit.



He was on the other end of the hall with his friends. I said hello to all his friends and then we excuse ourselves. " Rohit I want you to meet someone. A few people will assist you in the office from tomorrow."



He made a face and said, "Oh Bhai, we are at a party and you are still interested in work. I was enjoying with my friends. I will meet them tomorrow, Please."



" Rohit it will take only 2 minutes, come on please I just told them, I will introduce you tonight. I promise, I will not take more than 5 minutes of yours. Ok? " He agreed with an annoyance. He followed me while I went towards girls.



" Rohit, these girls will assist you from tomorrow." Rohit was surprised to see the girl standing behind Priya. A smile was forming on his face.



"Hi ! Rohit sir, I am Priya and this is my friend Sia. We will assist you as we are supposed to do our internship." Said Priya innocently. Rohit was grinning like a fool now. He was looking at Sia.



" Oh, ok please be on time Priya and Sia I am very punctual. " He said to the girls and they nodded he seemed so happy now, his earlier annoying behaviour was nowhere to be seen.



I coughed and said, " Now you must excuse Rohit, he was enjoying with his friends, when I literally dragged him to meet you. Thanks for your time, Rohit let's go and meet our friends. " But apparently Rohit didn't want to leave.



" Bhai you enjoy, it is your success party. You proved yourself, but I still need to do it, so I need to make strategies. I need to be comfortable with my assistants. I hope you understand? " He winked at me and I winked back.



" Yes, I understand you too well. All the best for your strategies." I caught Priya's hand and said " Can I borrow my wife for some time? " He just nodded and we smiled, though Sia shook her head and glared at Priya but she shrugged and left with me.



" Aren't they cute together? " Priya asked. " Rohit seems to be smitten with her."

I looked at Rohit and Sia.



" Priya, I need to tell you a few things, but the first thing first, you are looking very very pretty. My friends interrupted me and Sagar said, " Rahul we have come to meet you both and celebrate and you don't leave one opportunity to be with your wife. She is your wife, so that means she lives with you. Right? Please give some time to us too. Priya can we please drag your husband? He has been ignoring us for too long. " Priya smiled and nodded.



" He is your friend, feel free to take him with you. " They smiled at her and we all went towards the drinks counter.
